He's too small for me. I'm upgrading. Scale FTW.

Same, bot scale and cartoon accuracy is king for me. I'll buy anything that's fun regardless, but I'm always going to aim for figures that look "right" together. Titans Return Brawn is a good figure, but doesn't fit the scale.

I'm wondering if :HASBRO: :TAKARATOMY: will include good ol' Brawn with the KIA figures? :VEHI:

The Massacre pack, Part I and Part II. I like it.

I just find it so funny and I love it for some really odd reason. I just do. I sold my SS86 Ironhide because I did not like it, but this one tickles my fancy.

also, these will go good with Dead Prime from Earthrise.

So, I got my Snarl in yesterday from Pulse at last. I need to vent on this one.

So, Snarl continues the pattern that the first 3 dinobots set, in that the odd number releases are very good, and the even number releases are pretty bad.

Grimlock is a strong figure, and i have had no problem with more releases of the mold coming because it is good and fun.

Slug is just so so SO boring, and oddly proportioned. His alt mode is just not that good looking, and the robot mode just looks plain and weakly thin.

Sludge is extra bulky and has a wonderful robot and alt mode. He is a lot like Grimlock, in that he is really good.

Snarl? he continues what Slug started, except he is worse. His proportions are even wonkier, with piddly ass arms, super thin waist and thighs, huge lower legs and chest, and small sword, and that's just in robot mode. Alt mode is absolutely a dumpster fire. Whoever thought it was a good idea to cut out 2/3 of the tail and slap the end of the tail pointed down to the ground in place of that 2/3 should not touch another design again. The beast mode looks like a potato, when it should have a good long tail and majestic Stego plates. This toy is just sad to look at, and I really don't like it. This is by far the weakest Dinobot, and I'd say the one that is actually a bad toy. I have put him back in robot mode, and he will never see dino mode again.

I really wish these Dinobots were more consistent. Grimlock and Sludge should not be so much better than Slug, and Snarl should not be this much worse than an already weak Slug.

Interesting, I much preffer Slug over Sludge. I just can't get over that empty space in the belly that would have fit the rest of the feet

I got Snarl is this week as well and I gotta say I'm disappointed in the transformation. They definitely didn't spend the budget on engineering. He looks good in robot mode, acceptable in dino mode, but actually transforming him is on the level of a deluxe or even easier. Overall I'm glad I got him to go with the others, but he's definitely not as complex as Grimlock or Slag.

Just for fun. I put together a list of characters that *appeared* in TF:TM that so far, not only haven't received a mainline Generations figure in the last 6 years that is TF:TM accurate, nor has been scheduled for release in the SS-86 line. There's not many left:

*We know Hound and Swoop are being released, other than that there's only:

Megatron
Gears
Windcharger
Steeljaw
Ramhorn

I understand that some of the design team dont believe that Mainline Generations toys that have come out in the last 6 years are exact matches for TF:TM (thus the effort to produce a hyper-accurate Voyager Ironhide and CC Magnus etc...)

Also regarding the Dead Ironhide & Prowl Buzzworthy set. I know some are speculating we will get a 2nd set with a Dead Brawn & Ratchet. If they do this not only to I want them to go full on with it,I want equal opportunity as well:

Dead Autobots set 3: Windcharger & Wheeljack

Dead Insecticons 3-pack (made from Legacy releases)
Dead Thundercracker/Skywarp set (ER re-releases)

After all, while Megatron was clinging to life, his *Minions* as Unicron put it, were clearly Dead by the time Megatron encountered Unicron.

But until then, any bot not in the list above *I* consider their Mainline Generations toy to be TF:TM accurate (aka SS-86 adjacent)

It's great we're so close to a "full set " so to speak. There's very few guys left to do even if you take the whole cartoon into account. Just a few minibots and some triple changers short. Maybe the Combaticons if you're feeling very picky. But I also hope this means it's time for some other iterations of Transformers to get their time in the spotlight. And without G1ification please!

What's you reason for not considering Earthrise Megatron a 1986 movie accurate figure? Personally, I do think it's a pretty lackluster figure for such an important character, just wanted to know your take.

Don't forget Slugfest and Overkill, and we still need several Throttlebots. (Though maybe you were including them under "minibots," since I have those covered.) My collection is "complete" once I get all the animation characters, and I'm watching that list very closely.

I dont want to beat a dead horse, because its been argued to death already. However... I'm sure the design team is working really hard to make the best *possible* SS86 Megatron they can. One that's Robot mode is flawless. But for obvious reasons, it cant have the correct alt mode. It will probably even come with a small hand-gun Megatron accessory similar to what we have seen in other toys. But if the alt mode isn't what was on-screen in TF:TM, then it just isn't accurate IMHO. I fully acknowledge and understand there is absolutely NO WAY it will ever happen, that's why it's on the "Toys Hasbro will never release" thread.

I totally forgot about Slugfest and Overkill, but yeah, I was including the throttlebots under minibots too.

As for Megatron, I'd personally like a Leader class that puts robot mode first and foremost, no tank kibble, even with a bullshit alt-mode a la Bumblebee Movie Soundwave if necessary to reduce kibble, since the alt-mode will never be accurate anyway. And at that pricepoint, having the altmode as a secondary concern, it could have all the necessary bells and whistles like a gun that looks like his original alt-mode, his prime-killing weapons, MAYBE even his gun emplacement, although that could be a bit of a stretch.

Gears should be easy enough since he was originally promoted for Kingdom before being cut. Not sure how far they got designing him, but I would think they at least got as far as a CG model.

I'm pretty sure he's also shown up in leaked listings for next year's Legacy toyline.

I'm kind of in that same boat with you, except even though I'd like to have Gears and all of the cassette bots, those are some I'm okay with not ever having. But Gears has been confirmed for next year, right?
I don't usually use the term "need" when talking about TF, so on my "Most Wanted" list I'm down to Snarl (which is arriving from Amazon on Monday), Bombshell, and Swoop.
Ratchet, Hound, Sunstreaker, any other G1 characters, or surprises like Jhiaxus and Tarn along the way are just icing.

Agreed. We'll get a new Megatron sooner than later. Even if it's not under the SS86 banner.
As happy as I am with the 35th Anniversary version, I'm so ready for an improved Megatron.
But I am assuming this won't be a SS86 release just because of the alt mode issue.
I suppose some stylized tank is still the best option.
One thought I've had is the gray portion of the gun barrel that's on the right side of his back could be detachable as part of the tank turret; as long as this piece plugs in securely, it could be a way to get that detail accurately added to his bot mode without having to worry about how to engineer it into the transformations with a hinge, pins, etc.
I know others have echoed my opinion, but I'll say it again-- at this point since we'll never get a hand pistol mode for Megatron ever again, I truly don't give a damn what the alternative is...
I just want a legit, cartoon-accurate robot mode.

Quick aside, I don't like Earthrise Mirage's alt-mode, so I'm holding out hope that we get a more screen-accurate version in the future. I have Siege Mirage in the interim.

Agree with this as well…
He’s one of the handful of characters that I’d be willing to postpone my collecting retirement for.
I really didn’t like any of the Seige figures; the only ones I bought were 35th Anniversary OP & Megatron, and Springer. Actually I had Soundblaster but sold him to a friend.
I even passed on Reflector, which is one I’d really like to have a mainline release of…
Same for Astrotrain and Shockwave.
With waiting for Swoop and a couple others I mentioned, next year is supposed to be my last year of collecting.
But if ‘25 brings a new Megatron, or any of these others I just listed, I’ll play the game a bit longer.

Of course, then 2026 is a big anniversary year for the movie…
Even so, my collection (although nothing impressive) is so close to complete.

Once again I'm more confused than a baby in a topless club, does Commander Class Ultra Magnus break apart like in the movie or was that a mistake because they were handling an early prototype that broke?
