April Fanstream Confirms Figures Coming to the Studio Series Line plus Comic Edition Leader Straxus

A few notes from today's Transformers Fanstream:

TF:One Deluxe Optimus Prime was confirmed to be the first figure in the A Level category. They mentioned he should be easy to find and be on shelves for around 9 months. The figure is also specifically colored to perfectly match the movie color pallet.

They then went on to talk about the Wondercon reveals hitting stores now.

Nothing new to say about Swoop that we haven't already seen.

Apparently the size chart for the Bumblebee Movie lists Sunstreaker as a giant in bot mode and they chose to make him normal sized to match the other figures.

Nothing new to say about Sideswipe.

Our own Jon Bailey (AKA Epic Voice Guy) from the Twincast Podcast got a shoutout on the stream (you can hear him on the recent episode as of this time #347) for voicing Bumblebee Movie Shockwave in the movie!

Spacebridge "reveals" (just announced, not shown on the stream):

SS86 Core class Steeljaw
WFC Gamer Edition Deluxe Decepticon Trooper
Bumblebee Movie Voyager Skywarp,
SS86 Leader Springer (confirmed bulked up retool of the Siege Voyager)
SS86 Bumblebee (new mold)
Pulse Exclusive Comic Edition Leader Straxus

When they said SS86 Springer was a partial of the Siege figure upgraded to leader size, I was ready to throw something.

Most useless release of the line coming up.

And still, another leader slot that could have gone to a live action Dinobot.

For a team stressing how they will be releasing something for everyone this year for the anniversary, the only movie 1-5 thing right now is the MPM Brawl.

Also, everyone forgot about core Starscream apparently

You know, after seeing what they did with Blitzwing, I had an inkling that this would happen. So I just got a Siege Springer for my SS86 shelf and called it a day. Even if the new one is technically a new mold, I knew it wouldn't be all that different.

Agreed on both counts.

I need to see Leader Class Straxus! Also really hoping one of his accessories is a head in a jar, too.

Pretty lame that there's nothing Bay in the SS reveals, but even more so when you realize we're getting a single core class for the entire year. At least Mohawk rocks, and there's finally some stuff to look forward to in 2025!

Leader Straxus and Core Steeljaw are definite purchases. I've been waiting 32 years for a proper Straxus toy.

Makes it even sadder when you realize that they have said that "everyone will get something this year", and it seems like movies 1-5 plus Beast Machines are about to get the very short end of that stick. Just 1 core class each, unless we count MPM Brawl too

Nothing in that list interests me besides Steeljaw and bee.

I do find it interesting that Bee states a new mold next to it, so what will it be? I feel the Netflix VW molds works just fine for G1 and can't imagine what possible improvements could be made. Not going to complain though if it totally rocks!

As for Steeljaw, it's nice to finally get a new one and hope it's as good if not better than the new Rumble/Frenzy. Only issue is it feel like a long ways off. Speaking if Frenzy, EE just emailed me to say my PO for it was pushed back to January 25!

What are you talking about? After Swoop the Dinobots are done, at least the ones that count! :-D

Except that for accuracy's sake a proper 86 Bee needs to be more of a Chibi/SD design and not a proper Volkswagon that part forms.

Yes, poke the bear why don't you. We need the rest of the Bayverse Dinobots, starting with Slag and Strafe.

Surprised the Beewun seekers weren't given a ton of repaints at this point.

Well, we got green Ramjet and Skywarp will finally bother showing himself at some point.

What I don't expect are Reactivate Starscream repaints.

This would also likely get them around having VW and licensing involved and give them more freedom for repaints.

Agreed.
Even though NF BB is really the one figure I feel like I missed out on since I could never find him in-store or later for a reasonable price, I definitely haven’t forgot about it, and it makes this news of a brand-new mold in SS86 even sweeter.
I suppose this means Cliffjumper will follow at some point. Assuming the mold is on point, I’ll probably get it…. Because I assumed the SS86 Bee would just follow Blaster and be a slight repaint of the NF figure, I really though Buzzworthy’s Cliffjumper figure would be the definitive version.

But I didn’t see the livestream; is SS86 Bee a release for ‘25?

No, they're a long ways from talking about next year. This is the A Level figure leaked last year.

I feel sorry for Bayformers collectors. They finally give you a consistently solid toy line. Studio Series is your baby. You made it a success. Only for them to push your fanbase aside for G1...

Well, while it’s not new there is something else for Bay fans in 2024!

I would suspect Jolt and Ratchet are the other 2 deluxes, but we’ll have to see!

Huh, didn't expect to see this at Walmart tonight, didn't realize Shockwave was already in stores. A little less surprised to see the latest Deluxe wave there since they've been at Target for a few weeks.

And no, Starscream isn't on clearance, he's in Earthspark Spin Changer Optimus Prime's spot

You might be right, but would any of us be surprised if one of them was Bumblebee?

You've never watched a mother argue with an employee that if a figure is under a clearance tag it has to be sold at that price.
