That's actually kind of a good thing since those kinds of faces became a sort of staple with nearly every Transmetal toy from 1998-2000 having those kinds of facial expressions.

To any Funpub employee who reads this:
Please make a second run of this Year's Megatron, and sell them to more than one person this time. This is a figure the fandom has been waiting 11 years for, and you did you customers a MASSIVE disservice by selling out your stock to the first person in line on saturday morning.
People spend upwards of 2 or 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS to get to your events and buy your products.
The least you could have done is wait until the afternoon to lift your one per customer limit and at least give people a chance.

I grabbed a set of Silverbolt, Ironhide and BBTS last night for $60 shipped, which is pretty good since they had Silverbolt below his MSRP ($19.99 versus $26.99). Heckuva lot cheaper than BotCon exclusives! :D

The people that paid "2 or 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS" probably didn't wait until Saturday to get one.

While I think it would have been a nice gesture to keep the limit of only 1 per person for that particular item at least through Saturday afternoon, I'm assuming based on the previous 11 BotCons that Fun Pub has a pretty good idea of what happens with whether or not the walk-ins will purchase any of those exclusives.

Also, it seems that there was some misunderstanding about Megatron. Apparently he did sell out, but not in the way that people are talking about with a dealer buying out the rest of the inventory.

Fun Pub has had to deal with excess inventory of BotCon and Club exclusives many times over the past 12 BotCons so I can't say I blame them for wanting to liquidate inventory as fast as possible.

Can we see those Ironhide stickers on a Hasbro Ironhide. I want to see how they look on the version I have.

Nope, I'm looking at my Ironhide now. The Combiner port is black, not red, and the crotch piece is red, among other changes.

You have to curl the thumb up half way and then just snap the hfg in between the wheels. This is how Trailbreaker gets his forcefield projector

The red must be stickers. The hands are unpainted, the HFG is the right color and the lacking of paint is prevalent on the legs as well. That is CW Ironhide with the stickers :MAXIMAL:

You're right, it is Hasbro, but the Combiner port and crotch piece look to been painted. It's not just the front, the sides are that color too.

I'm thinking Jesse customized his Ironhide, painting the combiner peg red, himself. He's custom-painted his figures before.

I'm doing something wrong. No matter what I try it either falls out, launches out, or won't go in and I feel like I'm going to break the toy. Anyone else have any advice or clarifications?

I've heard that it wasn't meant to do that anymore, it will crack the plastic if you force it. Keep trying, so long as you feel comfortable, but it's not too important to do that to Ironhide

Hey @AllsparkNews, @seibertroncom, @tfw2005, @TFormers, and @BotCon fans everywhere, are you ready for some Magnaboss decal instructions?

Let's start With Megatron. While not part of Magnaboss, he has decals on Ironhide's sheet. Pred symbol & dragon eyes. There are 8 Megatron eyes on the sheet. The extras are there because of how tiny they are - you will have spares if you tear or loose one.

Image Image

Actually, the more I think about Megatron having a Dinobot spark crystal, the more I think about the untapped possibilities of stories for it. After all, Megatron DOES take the form of a T-Rex twice, and a dragon is more or less a winged dinosaur. Magmatron was turned into a Dinobot in US continuity, and a good number of Predacons have been of the saurian variety.

It would've been an interesting story to think that during the Great Reformatting, Cybertronians had a choice of faction. For some reason, if Dinobots and their descendants were looked down upon by "polite society" of Cybertron for perceptions of lack of processing power or Wheeljackian origins or whatever, they chose to be affiliated with the Predacon cause. What if Megatron was one of these disenfranchised Dinobots who chose to become a Predacon and take the name of the great Decepticon leader to prove himself against a world that discriminated against him? He could have recruited others like Terrorsaur, THE Dinobot, and just about everyone from BW Neo. Then, the Dinobots could've had a hand in saving Cybertron during Beast Machines, and had an engaging arc of character development.

It's a left-field theory, but I think it would've been a more interesting origin for BW Megatron than what we got.

Well, the upper part of his head looks like Grimlock.

So... Let's tick off the fans upset by Dawn of the Predacus further:

BW Megatron is Grimlock, having undergone another anti-Electron brain upgrade like he got in "Grimlock's New Brain". The Anti-Electrons, we learn, are actually an anti-spark from the Dead Universe (which is why Unicron has anti-electrons flowing around inside him). The Technobots (created by anti-electron Grimlock) are also corrupt and the foundation of the Predacons, bearing Predacon colors. Which also happen to be Sentinel Prime colors and Unicron colors.

Related note of interest: In this year's script reading, titled "The Hot Rod", Megatron was mistaken for being a Dinobot by White Propionica (a pre-BW Blackarachnia) and had a one-on-one fight against Grimlock.

Just stickered up an extra Silverbolt, Ironhide and Prowl. They look pretty good for the most part. Didn't realize that Magnaboss' ** entire ** face was stickers. Kind of want to buy some orange paint to cover up the silver from Superion's face shield that peaks out between the eyes sticker and the face shield sticker as well as some white paint for the crest. I'm pretty good at doing stickers but couldn't get the lower abdomen stickers right on Ironhide despite going top to bottom per the instructions. Regardless, it came out pretty good still.

Just need some Ratchet stickers now.
