I've been tempted, and eventually i'll do something for it... but I just have a ton of stuff to do.

Although X-mas break is comin up... hmmmm.

Has this project all of a sudden stopped due to BW Future? because I am still waiting for the first issue of this.

With the new "love" this thread is getting, anybody mind taking a stab at updating an already exsisiting "Mythological" Transformer, aka BM/RID Bruticus (aka Cerebus)? I mean he's already Mythocal in nature but the toy never did him justice...besides red yelow and black colorscheme?!?! I mean I can undestand black and red with yellow details, but he's more red/yellow then black and that is not "HellHound" in nature its "hotdog-the food" in nature. If I find myself with a spare Bruticus/Cerebus I'll repaint him, but till then somebody mind humering me?!?

not even in beast mode - it's a mess!!

It does pose a challenge..

i can see the heads as i had the figure out the other day and worked on the convoy version a while back using the flame convoy scourge version as the body transformation

heres a pic of all three of the heads


then they go on the arms you see here


will post my 12 step transformeation which i know billy will like as it keeps more of the elements and the front legs fold to the back so that the heads sections become the elbows

I saw pics at TFU.. Their version was horribly transformed.
I didn't think to check Seibertron.. heh..

It's not as bad as I thought it is now..
But it definately does a need a better color scheme..

right i worked it all out so far on the jaws on the side heads, i thought if the mouth spilts either side when as a elbow would work better in general and does in the looks on the transformation and with the legs they move to the back kinda like a jet pack

well i see the threads gone numb now that was short lived rihgt heres a look at the face and arm transformation for the three headed dog. i think it explains itself well enough

I like 'em, arm/head transformation is much smoother then the originals. Head looks good, not going with the Quintessen style head? (3 faces)

I think the three faces are from Dante's Inferno, Wikipedia says it like this, "Satan, who has three faces, one red, one black, and one a pale yellow, each having a mouth that chews on a prominent traitor. Satan himself is represented as a giant, terrifying beast, weeping tears from his six eyes, which mix with the traitors' blood sickeningly. He is waist deep in ice, and beats his six wings as if trying to escape, but the icy wind that emanates only further ensures his imprisonment."

I think he also has one of the oddest undocumented features, the instructions make no mention of the fact that you can turn the dogs back legs into an extra pair of arms in robot mode!

first let me say that i LOVE this project. I started to get out of transformers but this and classics brought me back. i had a couple of ideas fell free to use them if you all like.

1) stampy as a jackalope kinda just fits
2) any combiners could call the combined weapon a mythical weapon(ex. excailibur, thors hammer)
3)the legendary weapons could also be minicon combiner weapons

I also was wondering if there is another home for myth wars.

I was thinking about that one the other day i have plans on that one its just a case of Getting all the art done on him really at the moment

I have a ton of work that fits this theme, going back to when Beast Wars was still on the air. It's something I've come back to off and on since then, with the latest spur being the HMW reset and an entirely new team of Predacons based on Greek mythology.

It's not, nor ever will be, of the quality to go in the 'finished' thread, but would anyone mind if I posted it here? For fun? Or would that be spamming up your thread?

I would love to see your new ideas, Caelus, I just posted in the finished thread to, I hope you guys like it.

Awesome. Big diff from what everyone else has been doing, is 9/10 of the ones I've designed are mythological creatures in robot mode, and normal critters in beast mode.

All of them are.

Satyr -> Goat
Centaur -> Horse (Unicorn technically IIRC)
Minotaur -> Bull
Werewolf -> Wolf
Gorgon -> Cobra

When I did those, I was operating on the idea that 'normal' Maximals and Predacons might have been misinterpreted as freakish metal animal/human hybrids when seen in their robot modes by primitive man, and that those interpretations would have become embedded in our collective unconscious.

There are a bunch more like that that I can't find at the moment. I thought I had loaded them up to Devi, but they don't seem to be there.

Thanks, I did that one at someone's request a while back. The quality of the beast mode's drawing didn't compare unfortunately.

I've got some versions of my own Chimera that I hope to get up soon. It's a bit more freakish.
