For those wondering, Minerva was a character from the Transformers Masterforce show and also the very first female Transformers toy to ever exist. The original G1 toy can be seen here.
The post was made by one of the designers who is calling it:
"emergency nursing warrior Minerva "

Jizai back then also scored a limited license to release resin kits of Powerglide and Wheelie.
This is an officially licensed (but limited only to Wonderfest after which the prices just keep skyrocketing), by Tomy/Takara.
Wish Takara will take a look at her and make a mainstream release.

why not it be a repaint of goshooter to pay homage to the G1 toy?

Given that they mixed them up already I suppose she would have to be a repaint of a future Generations Siren toy!

I think so, the non translated text comments on how he hopes he did the paint job correctly.

I'd be totally up for painting and assembling her myself though. I'm good at painting and modelling, so it should be a breeze.

I thought that one time and bought a B-Club kit (basically a very small run Gundam resin kit). I was not prepared. It is sitting somewhere in a box with some primer on it but still looking like crap. The amount of sanding, trimming, cleaning, pinhole cleaning, and things like that required was just overwhelming.
Not saying this kit will be in that sort of rough state, but this is why I get scared when I see the term "Resin Kit". This probably ain't a Zoid or Gundam or Revell 1:24 whatever Car kit.
If it comes prepainted and cleaned and is just parts to assemble? Then heck yeah, bring it on!

That said as she's a garage kit she'll probably be recasted by a few people. Just be sure to get a good recaster- the ones from thailand are always awful.

You know the x-transbots powerglide and wheelie arent just KOs of the jizai molds right ? Theyre upsized and the wheelie has diecast parts. Theres nothing lazy about them. Somebody sacraficed a very expensive jizai version to make those possible.

Upsizing and changing materials for certain parts is far from hard work- upsizing is done by KO companies all the time, and it doesn't change the fact that they essentially stole someone else's work and passed it off as their own without giving any credit to the original creator.

The text says:
"side by side before and after deformation of the vehicle mode"
I dont know if deformation reffers to having to dissasemble or if its bad google translate for "transforming"

Thats why its called a KO. Its sole purpose is to make money. It wasnt made by people who design figures. But upsizing requires a lot more work than simple reverse molding. Thats why I said those upsized KOs are far from lazy. Additionally, I forgot to mention x-transbots added additional articulation not found on the smaller jizai version. Im just not seeing any laziness with the figure in hand. They accomplished their mission of improving the original figure while maximizing their profits. I call that being ambitious, not lazy.

Google Translate doesn't understand that "henkei" means "transformation" instead of "deformation".william-james88 wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Will it transform?

Yup, if it's for Wonderfest it's officially sanctioned by Takara.
Not entirely. At events like Wonder Festival and Comic Market they allow a one time waiver on licenses for figures and models sold in limited numbers. So it's not that Minerva is licensed, it just doesn't require a license. The day after Wonder Festival it's just another bootleg.

Festival days limited license. And it also sports the TF logo. You know how law abiding people in Japan are.

Note how I said sanctioned? I know that it's a one day selling licence, but it's still officially sanctioned by Takara, and will feature all the logos and TM it needs.
