This Wave, consisting of Runamuck, Fasttrack, Sunstreaker, and Trailbreaker, seems to be showing up right on time, as most preorders were scheduled for October. Hopefully, this won't mean that Wave 2 will be scarce on the ground.
So are you all excited by this news? Do you plan on picking up any of the figures from this Wave? Let us know below, and happy hunting!

I haven't seen any of this wave, although I don't think I'm getting any of them anyway (really was considering Sunstreaker).
Looks like I'll have some more money for SS86 Slag, Kingdom Galvatron, and hopefully ER Bluestreak.

I'm amazed those pre-orders were open for an hour and a half, instead of the Leadfoot/GI Joe sell out in seconds debacle.
william-james88 wrote:o.supreme wrote:Also Target exclusives seem to be released in much smaller quantities overall, despite being sold in solid cases. I have yet to see one shelf warm, several I have only seen once.
How many times did you see this one?

I never saw this one in stores.

Micron having a white Ironworks repaint: Obviously didn't happen, uncertain if this repaint exists
Glyph & Tap-Out: Pixel thinks they're still incoming, their credible source said the Cliff mold was getting more uses
Barricade & Pointblank or Drift/Deadlock: Pixel misinterpreted the Micromaster Barricade/Runner (the Barricade that IS in GO) as being the Datsun Barricade, so Datsun Barry should STILL BE A NETFLIX RELEASE as originally planned, and the only talk of the P/CP mold getting reused is from the unreliable source, so this set is a mystery again
Also apparently Hasbro has a Needlenose practically done, but after losing 2 fan votes it's just sitting around with no release plan, and Arcee is as bad as she is due to a combination of Hasbro not trying and partially reusing ideas from her planned PotP design.

That's... Concerning... I was excited for the idea of each of the possible Primes, but if that's part of what the Arcee would have been, that's disappointing

Looking at ER Arcee with that in mind, I would guess PotP Arcee might have been similar to PotP Roddy, with the real hood being unintegrated in the smaller robot mode because of it forming the chest of the Prime robot mode.
Something I reflected on today (technically yesterday at this point) re: Snapdragon:
I wonder how many people appreciate what his magenta jaws are supposed to give the effect of.

They should be. Leadfoot was similarly sold out of preorders almost instantly, but at least at my Target, they ended up getting two cases of him, at 6 to a case. Same with 'Cracker and Skywarp.
Can't remember the last time I saw a Transformers exclusive at Target that wasn't Cyberverse or MPM. I had to get the Seekers, Clones, and Leadfoot online. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, they were easy to get online so even though I missed out on Thrust's pre-order I'm sure I'll be able to get him online eventually. Runabout was easy enough to order, though.

It's a figure I've already experienced though, but he's also part of a "set" (the Rebirth cast.) So it sucks. Is there a price yet?
I'm in the same boat, the very tip of the wing that becomes the back of the leg, and it was the Takara version so this would be a perfect replacement. I also never got Hardhead as I mainly went for the Decepticon Headmasters, ugh, I mean Titanmasters, so I might pick him up if I see him.
Yours, too?
So it can happen again with this new release then?
(Mine was also Takara.)
It all depends on if these are straight re-releases or if they did something with the materials. A few figures in Titans Return used a type of rubbery plastic for pieces, and I've heard reports of the others breaking as well. Specifically, the flap on Skullcruncher/Krok where the Titanmaster sits has broken on a bunch. No idea why they used this type of plastic for the pieces they did.
Went to Target, Walmart, and two Walgreens with zero signs of any new Earthrise. One of the Walgreens did have a shelf sticker for WFC Deluxe but nothing on the shelf. Was hoping to see a Sunstreaker or Bluestreak.
My sister fixed it with baking soda and super glue. It still has the articulation and everything. I'm so glad, I'd rather spend the money on a new figure.

Reported getting clearanced now? Haven't they been on clearance for months now? I bought mine clearance at my local Target in Orlando about 3 months ago. Another Target in Orlando also had them listed as clearance in the computer, but when I went they were already sold out.

This may have been a second batch or a delayed shipment that is getting clearenced. I never saw mine in stores, let alone on clearence, only an empty shelf tag taunting me that I was too late, and that was pulled when the Clones got clearenced out. Then the Seekers showed up on the website a couple of weeks later after I hit the panic button but thankfully before I turned to a scalper. Maybe its this batch thats getting cleared out now

Sorry to rant again on Earthrise Arcee, but having Takara Tomy Legends Arcee next to the new Earthrise version just accentuates how BAD this new Arcee figure really is. The Thrilling 30 Deluxe Class Arcee actually transforms, has a better (smaller, more compact) backpack with vehicle kibble that actually contributes to part of her robot mode sillouhette (e.g., the shoulder pauldrons), and integrates more of her actual robot mode into the body of the car (namely the thighs and the central front bumper). She's still partially a shell former, but actually done RIGHT. Her robot kibble all snaps into place under the car body, the face is hidden by a panel that becomes her robot mode torso, the arms work as weapon storage for the smaller gun, and no parts forming is needed at all. T30/Platinum/Legends Arcee is a fantastic first official G1 Arcee toy that is convertible. The Takara paint job makes her a virtual masterpiece in terms of screen accuracy too. Earthrise Arcee is just a complete disappointment in terms of engineering and paintwork. Maybe I'll like the mold better as Elita-1, but I'm not holding out much hope.

These include a series of comparisons to the Siege Datsun Brothers mold through Siege Deluxe Class Prowl. The photos also give a demonstration of Bluestreaks transformation.
SGMLordMirage had this to say about the toy:
I hadn’t messed with him that much other than taking the photos. I mean it seems like a decent mold, obviously it is a lot different that the Siege molds but with similar transformations. It is definitely nice to get the shoulder rockets versus buying add ones like I did for my Siege Prowl. I do love the colors even though i know some would want him in a bluish color. I hadn’t planned on buying ER Smokescreen but now having this, I may end up getting him

It's just... I appreciate T30 integrating the car shell better, but I kinda lowkey hate the body sculpting, with its weird "literal human curves complete with belly button" thing going on. ER Arcee looks better, and from what I've heard articulates and poses better as well.
I'll definitely be picking up the ER figure when I find it - which should be soon, since Wave 2 Deluxes are as of today FINALLY appearing here in San Jose, though sadly I've only found Airwave so far.

Unfortunately I've yet to find a good seller for her that isn't marked up ridiculously. Animated and Prime Arcee are on my list.Ultra Markus wrote:You left out animated Arcee
No, you and me both. I truly feel ER Arcee is a better figure, not a better Transformer since the transformation is eh, but definitely a better figure. Remove the extra backpack and she poses so much better, and even with the backpack, she isn't bad. The 5mm compatibility is the icing on the cake.Jeddostotle7 wrote:I know this probably isn't the case, but it feels like I'm the only one who's still planning on replacing the T30 Arcee with ER.

Just be careful, those heels are probably the only things that allow her to stand with that backpack.

And seeing as headmaster Arcee has been a canon thing since "The Rebirth", it would be nice if the 30-year-belated toy form was more accessible.
Maybe she'll be the fourth Headmaster in Wave 2 of the "Retro Headmasters" line at Walmart? I can see that being a pretty viable option, though I still hold out hope that they'll do a single release of Cerebros instead in cartoon accurate colors.

I think I'm getting ever closer to a Generations collection I'm completely happy with. Runabout, the Coneheads, and Netflix Bumblebee and Soundwave are all toys I really want to buy, but I'm not holding out much hope in ever getting of any of them. I'm not too fussed about never having the Coneheads, especially seeing how in demand they are and how fast they've sold out, but I'll be very sad if I can't get Bumblebee and Soundwave.

Pixelmaster over on TFW (one of the reliable leakers) said a while ago that the 8th slot in this line (which is, at least so far, limited to two waves planned) is gonna be Punch/Counterpunch. Not a Headmaster, but another Prime Wars figure Hasbro seems satisfied with and is expensive to get nowadays.

Hoist is faily decent since they changed the side window paint and the mismatched greens only look bad in photos. Vehicle mode the hands can be removed if desired so that they dont hang low but they kind of look like suspension of some sort. I def think Trailbreaker will look even better in black.
Just Trailbreaker and Fast Track for me from wave 3. Sunstreaker I'll stick with classics and maybe eventually upgrade to KO G1 but I've not even got the MP yet and the toy is usually in vehicle mode next to MP in my display.
Runas are still going to be cheaper than buying the chug ones but I prefer them having their own car modes anyways, so G1 for me at some point for them. Sadly the newage ones or whatever they are, look off in car mode -Hasbro have definitely beaten thrid party with all their versions of them so far even the Japanese RID 2015 versions.
