Ok lots of news to get through all at once. Firstly, Hasbro is wasting no time using that new Partner Exclusives option on their Pulse site. Right now, they have the following up for preorder:
Beast Wars reissues, with a rather high price for Rattrap: https://hasbropulse.com/products/transf ... ge-nosto-1
Netflix Voyager packs, where the Sparkless Seeker is already sold out: https://hasbropulse.com/products/transf ... ge-nosto-1
Finally, they have the Netflix Transformers Wave 3 spoiler pack, which is sold out: https://hasbropulse.com/products/transf ... ler-pack-1
That means we have a first look at this new Spoiler Box. The contents are the clear purple Paleotrex and a rumoured voyager Megatron figure. Images are below. Before we get to those, here are the all the Walmart preorders.

Unfortunately I had a busy morning, so by the time I looked at Pulse, they were sold out. I pre-ordered the Seeker and Spoiler Box on walmart, for all the good it will do
Also, have the contents of the Spoiler Box officially been revealed (beyond the aforementioned rumors?) WFC Megs $30 / Paleotrex $20 (Gotta have something else to justify the additional $10)

They basically just inverted Deep Cover's normal deco for this toy, switching his primarily dark blue and secondarily bright blue color scheme for a primarily bright blue and secondarily dark blue one.Wolfman Jake wrote:Sabr, got any other ideas for obscure Transformers or Diaclone homages a blue "Sideswipe" might represent? I love the blue on that mold, but I can't justify picking it up if it doesn't have any real history tying it into the Transformers brand, especially when I've already pre-ordered a much better/more accurate version of "Deep Cover" via Generations Selects. Who is this bot really meant to be?
Pretty much the same way G1 Sideswipe's red w/ black deco was inverted into G2 Sideswipe's black w/ red deco, essentially making this "G2 Deep Cover".

It's just just play-doh it's also 3 tiny energon cubes too.

So doing the math, new spoiler pack ways 2 figures, compound and 6 accessories. By comparison, the Nemesis Prime spoiler pack said figure, battlemaster, compound and 9 accessories.
For Nemesis prime, I have the 3 energon cubes, 2 swords, Siege gun, and 2 arm cannons bringing us up to 8 and I'm assuming the trailer is the 9th accessory.
ER Meg's product description says he comes with 2 weapons (fusion cannon and spear), so those plus the 3 energon cubes already eats up 5 of the 6 accessories. I don't think Paleotrex's tail counts as one.
Edit:
Sabrblade wrote:The Spoiler Pack also allegedly comes with the AllSpark itself.
That would probably be the final accessory then.

Ultra Magnus was an indisputable flop (especially considering even now, nearly a year later you can still get it at discount price). Nemesis Prime offered a LOT, and was a HUGE success.
I mean I know there has to be some veiled connection to the show (as insignificant as it is, and the term "spoiler" doesn't really apply). But still, Neither Astrotrain nor Doubledealer got a second use. Heck they could have created a new character "Triple D", or DDD, (Deeseus Double Dealer)
Just a slightly off color, battle damaged/weathered Doubledealer with a random Battlemaster, because they aren't in the show right?
The Spoiler could be- *hinting that he somehow survived the explosion and transferred his consciousness to the Mercenary Decepticon, and arrived on Primitive earth. Have him in one scene, getting blown away by some BW characters. The End . See it practically writes itself.

I'm think Leader is being used as the pricepoint here as opposed to the specific figure. I just can't see Hasbro giving us a Leader, plus deluxe, plus playdoh, 3 cubes, the allspark (if that is correct) and 2 mystery accessories for less than the value of the 2 figures alone. Voyager ER Megs (edit: plus deluxe paleotrex) fits the math with the accessories, as underwhelimg as they are.

$59.99's the standard. Though Magnus went up on heavy discounting in the past.

They were always priced higher than leader class since they came with an extra bot

Also, leader plus deluxe would be $70, not $60, which is why beast megs makes no sense unless Hasbro suddenly got much more generous than in the past.

It's just Megatron's two weapons. Seems the only surprise is whatever the Allspark ends up looking like and how Megatron turns out.
Also Hasbro considers Deluxe figures worth $23 now so it's only a $7 difference they need to make up after Megatron and Paleotrex.
The Nemesis Prime set being a spoiler really took on a double meaning by giving us more bang for our buck.

I know they are likely Megatron's weapons, if you go back further than the comment you quoted you will see I said that exactly already. The comment about 2 mystery weapons was if the Megatron included was actually beast megs like some were speculating and me refuting that logic because then we would be at $70 for the base figures (leader + deluxe) before the 6 accessories were accounted for since beast megs doesn't have any weapons leaving 2 unknown mystery weapons (3 cubes and the allspark as the other accessories).

But having already the Siege Netflix Megatron, I can skip this one.
For those who missed out on the previous Netflix Megs, this spoiler pack is a nice second chance.
Posted by Wolfman Jake on March 16th, 2021 @ 9:11am CDT
The Netflix subline of War for Cybertron is going out with a whimper, it seems. We're getting one fewer Deluxe Class figure in Wave 3, only one of which is even a main character. Cheetor is tempting because of the better shade of blue, but has some other paint applications missing. Deep Cover is the wrong colors, and a much more accurate version without battle damage paint apps is coming soon in Generations Selects. Sparkless Bot is literally just a zombie, which I don't really need in my display. I might army build those Quintesson drones from the Siege Ironhide mold, though, to beef up my Quintesson display.
The Voyager two packs are also very disappointing. Optimus Primal and Rattrap are minimally different, and not necessarily more accurate to anything at that. The Sparkless Seeker is just another zombie I don't care for, and so are the two repainted Sparkless Battle Masters it comes with. They could have at least made those Battle Masters two new characters.
I would gladly pay $30 for that purple Paleotrex redeco with the additional accessories in the spoiler box. Having to pay double to get Siege Megatron yet again, though, is too much to ask. The Netflix line peaked with Wave 2, which is a shame, because it was so hard for many people to get that wave.

Bumblebee and Soundwave seemed to be the must-haves for that wave. Those two are still impossible to find unless you're REALLY lucky...

If it was the ER Mold that probably would've turned more people off.
I personally skipped the Netflix Megs because I had normal Siege Megs. I'll probably pick this up (if I can land an order that is) for Paleotrex and just have a second, dirtier Megs... or maybe replace my clean Megs.

I did exactly that with the first Netflix voyager, replaced the regular Siege one. The silver paint is very nice and he is definitely worth the upgrade, just not a second time for me.
Edit: Oddly enough if it was the ER mold instead, I might be tempted to use that as an excuse to get the purple paleotrex.

Guessing not accurate. Then again it didn't stop Netflix Optimus. Then then again, the spoiler packs seem to be of closer importance and accuracy to the show. Then then then again, the past pack had extraneous stuff
I mean I don't mind, the ER mold looks bad, I'm weighing between selling my Netflix copy and getting this, or just... y'know, not getting this.

Oh his silver paint is actually good in hand? For some reason I thought they removed the silver paint between stock photos and release (but I think I'm confusing it with ER Megs).
I'll see if I can land an order since his damage doesn't seem to be too distracting and actually make some sense as battle scars.

At any rate, another case where the main appeal is in the side figures and not the main one. Hunt is on for the first Netflix Megatron, with Pinpointer and Lionizer.

Yes, the silver paint is excellent, much better than the plain grey plastic from the original Siege release.

Trumping that with FunPub's bio for Universe 2003 Inferno (a Red Alert homage) making him BW Inferno.

Objection! It was Hasbro who named the toy "Inferno" in the first place and 3H who came up with the idea originally (as an alternate BW Inferno rather than the one from the cartoon proper).Jelze Bunnycat wrote:Trumping that with FunPub's bio for Universe 2003 Inferno (a Red Alert homage) making him BW Inferno.
All Fun Pub (specifically Jim Sorenson alone) did was retcon the toy into having first been a Robots in Disguise Red Alert who was killed in the Cauldron and had his body merely be housed by the spark of a deceased Predacon Inferno, who carried on the fallen Red Alert's legacy by siding with Optimus Primal (his new Queen after Primal rescued him) against Unicron.

Hasbro should have included the Earthrise Megatron with extensive silver paint, no battle damage, and all of the classic G1 paint applications included. I would have gladly bought Spoiler Pack 3 if that were the case.
