Let us know if you find this set in the sightings section and forum since these are very sought after for several reasons. Unlike most exclusives, these are new molds and this is the only way to complete the set of clones Hasbro is releasing, with Pounce and previously offered Fastlane/Fastclash in the Seige on Cybertron and Chaos on Velocitron Titans Return sets.

He is coming to a retailer, but that retailer has yet to be identified. We assume its TRU, but it could be BBTS or Walmart or whoever.
Just FYI if you type the word "Grotesque" by itself into TRU's online search, all the results are for "related products" which are Transformers. Their system has tagging for the name.

Same there as well. A bit of entertaining trivia to note, though: while "Grotusque" yields 67 products, the first 15 or so of which are Transformers, "Grotesque" returns much the same Transformers products, followed by those 'madballs' things... and with the second-highest result after TR Arcee now consisting of a DVD of Teen Titans Go

More importantly, for both searches the only transformers to be listed are all Titans Return and as you said, Arcee is the number 1 result for both. TFWiki has said all along that he'd be a TRU exclusive so that seems to have been accurate.
Speaking of TRU, I got the "valued customer" email from them regarding the Arcee delay so maybe they'll be shipping out a second batch today.

Walgreens had the clones! And Walmart got in Wave6 deluxes (Slugslinger!).
Happy hunting!
I was seeking Misfire, but I'll live.

It looked like Walgreens just got them in (thanks to Will for the heads-up!), yesterday or this AM, as there were several clone packs. They were hiding behind a single deluxe Quake, right there on the shelf. Good luck, o.supreme!

I haven't opened up the clones yet, but Slugslinger looks great. As I had read previously from others, the quality is definitely a bit higher with the paint apps & tampos. I thought I would've preferred that G1 visor-look, but he seems a lot more shady with the eye-slits. >) His knee joints could be tighter, but for $15, he's certainly a fun figure if he's on your list.

but thanks all the same . I went to the same 3 Walgreens I went on Monday. 2 of the 3 did have them - yay!. I left my results in the sightings section of this site. They were on the same shelf space as TR Deluxes. One store had them in front, the other had them hiding behind the deluxes...

LOL Awesome that you scored the clones. And do you think the store clerks at Walgreens were having fun by hiding the clone sets like that?
I almost missed out on Slugslinger this morning and he was staring me in the face -- I was just so used to not seeing any new TRs I initially glossed over him.
Just curious, but did you ever see wave5 at b&m in your area?
Posted by o.supreme on November 8th, 2017 @ 4:55pm CST
But as for wave 5...I've seen the Voyagers, I just scored Overlord about 2 weeks ago, and I've seen the Legends class on shelves as well. Still no sign of Deluxes or Ramhorn.
Though, I did see the wave 5 Deluxes as listed on TRU website (though out of stock at the moment), so I think they may be coming soon. Still no sign of a Slugslinger either.
At this point I've completed my TR collection sans Ramhorn. I just want to see the others to say that I've seen the complete line in stores.

I could live without Windblade (dat face tho) and Twintwist, but I'd love to get Misfire.
I consider the three TR 'Con spacecrafts (Misfire, 'Slinger & 'Happy) to be the Nü Seekers.

How are your Slugslinger's fists? Mine are hella loose, and don't really lock the same way Misfire's and Triggerhappy's do. Is it just mine, or widespread?

Can't speak for his copy, but mine aren't exactly loose. They're just not as solid due to how the joint is built.

Same here - loose-ish wrists and knees, for sure. Triggerhappy was certainly tighter for me. But he's not floppy...

The Deluxes by and large for TR look great. It's just the lack of cross-play pattern (specific to my preference), has stopped me from getting them. Of course I'll end up with a few because of the box sets, exclusives, and "free" bonuses from TRU. But all that being said, I think many such as you and I consider the 1987 Decepticon Targetmasters to be the "seekers" for that year. Though I wouldn't purchase it, I'd love to see a platinum set of the original 3. However...that fan-made combined mode though *almost* got me to reconsider, until I found that it was not a stable combination.
Also, I'm just curious...does anyone here ever go to unicron.com? I've found its usually a great place, and nicely organized to see pics of the various toys grouped together. It's just that its been falling behind lately.

bodrock wrote:Slugslinger isn't quite as dynamic as Triggerhappy due to the looser knees, but the identical points of articulation are appreciated.
The knees are a joint held together with a screw, so it shouldn't be too difficult to tighten them up.
The only issue I have with Slugslinger is his floppy wrists. At some point I'll try to figure out how to tighten them up.

That combined mode looked much more stable than the Decepticon headmaster formation, o.supreme! But yeah, too bad it's not an actual formation HasTak envisioned. Not that that necessarily means tight connectivity.
I'd like to see a platinum set of the three Targetmaster Seekers as well -- only for the packaging, though. If I want to complete the Three Amigos, I just need to go online....I just don't know when to quit.
I have the TFDb app on my phone -- it updates the sightings, but it's been awhile for pics.

On a side note my TRU Arcee order continues to be backordered, but I was charged for Broadside and for some reason they separated my Toys for Tots donation from the order and then proceeded to tax it which isn't how it appears on my account. Morons.

Let us know when yours is due and if you were able to get one. So far there is no word on Arcee getting a release at brick and mortar stores but you can always sign up to be notified if she becomes available online again. There is also still no confirmation that Toysrus will be the exclusive retailer for the Titans return Grotusque set which completes the collection of four die cast Titans Masters representing the four tech spec categories (the one that came with Arcee was Ultra Magnus representing intelligence).

Dang. Maybe I'll nab a second one.
My Triggerhappy and Misfires' wrists actually have a locking point. My Slugslinger does NOT lock - AND - his right hand falls off relatively easily. It's not Scourge-levels of flop-wrist, but it falls apart... :/

My Slugslinger is the same. Hands don't lock in at ALL, whereas Misfire's and Triggerhappy's definitely do.

I've all but given up on arcee considering I'm yet to hear of any confirmation for a UK release and she seems to be going for leader price or more through import. Hasbro, lads, I love you but sort your problems with distribution (particularly for non-us markets and the old wave skipping habit) before you start chucking around esclusives, please.

Does anyone else that missed out on the original release think that this might just not happen? If it is going to TRU, considering the mess the made of Arcee, I'm not very hopeful. It is weird that we have heard absolutely nothing from Hasbro.
Posted by o.supreme on November 10th, 2017 @ 10:07am CST
You have "add to cart" - ok obviously the item is in stock
"Out of Stock"...ok we know what that means...
But then Arcee & Trypticon say "See Details"...now I don't want to give anyone false hopes here, but there is an option to get an e-mail when the item does become available again (which to me means they anticipate getting more). I would not put much stock in this if it were just Arcee. But we know Trypticon is a regular release, so they will no doubt get more at some point. I would think/hope that if it were not the same case with Arcee, it would truly say "Out of Stock"...
Oh and also the placeholders for the wave 5 deluxes they had up are now gone... so I have no clue.
But I guess it could be worse. On HTS, you have no idea if an item is in stock or not, until you try to click on it.
As for Grotusque. All we know is that Hasbro stated at NYCC they would be "available at a later date via another retailer". We don't know when that is, or what retailer. I would think more are coming. It would look very bad from Hasbro's perspective to not have the toy available for purchase at NYCC, only available via HTS so more people at home who were savvy enough to be online during that couple of hours they were available, could have got them, then the ones who actually attended the convention.

With a mug like his, I think he can pull it off!
The price for deluxes shall be going up in the States as well, once PotP arrives -- 20 USD, iirc. I prefer 10-15, but sometimes ya just get desperate when plastic crack is staring you in the face.
I was hoping for a b&m TR Arcee (actually, Grotesque plz!) release, but I'm not gonna hold my breath, needless to say.

I'm pretty sure deluxes are staying the same. I believe it is the voyagers and leaders are are going up to match the TLK pricing.
