A Transfan from Australia has been kind enough to share the list of voice actors that starred in the movie premiere!

Here is the list of voice actors and their characters:

Optimus - Peter Cullen
Megatron - Hugo Weaving
Bumblebee - Mark Ryan
Ironhide - Jess Harnell
Barricade - Jess Harnell
Ratchet - Robert Foxworth
Bonecrusher - Jimmie Wood
Jazz - Darius McCrary
Starscream - Charlie Adler
Frenzy - Reno Wilson

Of note, there seems to be no Keith David as Barricade, and it is rumored that he is only appearing in the video game as a VA.

And for the link-a-phobic...

Optimus - Peter Cullen
Megatron - Hugo Weaving
Bumblebee - Mark Ryan
Ironhide - Jess Harnell
Barricade - Jess Harnell
Ratchet - Robert Foxworth
Bonecrusher - Jimmie Wood
Jazz - Darius McCrary
Starscream - Charlie Adler
Frenzy - Reno Wilson

Just found a clip with Robert Foxworth in it on YouTube(my fiancee is a HUGE Ratchet fan), and I've got to say, good choice. And Jess Harnell's got tremendous range. So, no new big names, but people who can pull off the job, IMHO. And it looks like Keith David is Barricade in the game only, if this is accurate. Makes sense, though, given what we've heard about the lack of 'Con dialogue in the movie.

Anyhow, thought it was interesting and wanted to pass it along.

Front paged!! Thanks!

Wasnt someone else doing Starscream? And has anyone ever heard of half these people? I thought that movie were supose to have real voice actors or famous people doing the VO. I think bay spent to much on ILM and had to hire people no one would know to well.

WHO CARES. The movie is going to make insane amounts of money. Nobody needs Will Smith voicing an autobot to go see it. You've got your mind made up after seeing the visuals, not who's voicing Blackout or something. Come on.

i had hoped will smith would have nothing to do with it regardless.

When Bumblebee is rebuilt, they might rebuild his voicebox. That would explain the voice actor. I really hope so, at least.

I could be mistaken, but didn't Charlie Adler do the voice of Kranix in the original movie (and probably some other voices as well)??

I was also thinking earlier today -- Tom Hanks stated in an interview some time ago that he was a HUGE Transformers fan. I always thought there was the POSSIBILITY that he would voice one of the characters, especially with Spielberg Executive Producing and all... I never READ anywhere that he would be, just thought it was a possibility, that's all.

Charlie Adler did, in fact voice some G1 characters, plus he was the voice of Buster Bunny on Tiny Toon Adventures.

I think he'd make a pretty good Starscream. Not great, but good.

[quote="Wikipedia"
The Transformers:
Decepticon Targetmaster Triggerhappy,
Silverbolt,
Duros,
Vorath and Dirk[/quote]

I won't believe this list until the movie comes out. I can see why they'd hire Keith David as Barricade for the game...I'm sure he'd have more lines because they've got to make the game irritating in that respect. But I seriously doubt they'd pass him over for the film as well.

There are so many rumors, we won't know until the final product hits theaters July 2nd at 8:00...until then...all we can do is listen to these untruths.

Ratchet - Race Bannon(The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest)

Starscream - the voice of Cow, Chicken, Red Guy, and I.R. Baboon

Umm, I've been following this production for quite a while now. As best I recall, the only CONFIRMED voice was Cullen as Prime. Everything else was unconfirmed or rumor.

Both IMDB and Wiki can be edited by anybody, so for all intents and purposes those sites can only be considered rumor mills. Especially when it comes to uncompleted projects.

What I love about this cast... we, and the fans who are brought in by the movie, will be able to think of these characters as the CHARACTERS. The problem with big name voice overs is that, in a good number of cases, you're not listening to a character. You're listening to the actor. Some actors can pull it off... in Toy Story, I've never been overly conscious that I'm listening to Tim Allen or Tom Hanks. For a more recent example, I'm pretty stunned that Ratatouie's main character is played by Patton Oswalt. The G1 movie is a pretty good example, too... except for maybe Eric Idle, I was never real conscious of the big names playing the parts.

Of course, I admit, this has been one of the big things I've wanted to find out about the movie, and I'm not disappointed with what I'm seeing.

...though, does anyone find it ironic that Lorenzo di Bonaventura bashed on "cartoon actors", and now the majority of the v/o cast features them? =p

just because Adler did the voice of cow and chicken doesn'r mean starscream is going to sound like that, hell hes done way over 100 voices in his time and if you checkout his IMDB page you find he even did voices for a certain cartoon about giant robots way back in 1984

The Autobots couldn't fix it on Cybertron but humans can fix it here on Earth? Also, I think we've always just assumed that Bumblebee gets damaged and rebuilt but I read somewhere recently that he switches forms after Spike encourages him to take on an alt mode more visually appealing to "the ladies".

Contains Spoilers:

The reason I think BB's voice couldn't be rebuilt is because the Autobots didn't have the rescources to do so. At the end of the film the Autobots make Earth their new home seeing as they can no longe return to Cybertron now that the Allspark is destroyed. Useing earth rescources I think Ratchet builds Bumblebee a new voice modual.

What I think is funny, is that they had wanted to try and get some well known actors to try and bring in some "star" power for the voices. The only one I know of(besides Cullen) is Hugo Weaving. I just find that funny. If I was Welker, I'd be pissed that they had picked some of these people over me.

Did i say adler sucked? No i said that no one knows who most (notice i said most not all) of these people are. I also dont remember real mosters being that big of a show. I remember it being just another nick cartoon. And think about it. We heard all these rumors and some confermations of know acotrs and vas were going to do the voices but after the movie was done and it came time to record the vo most of the actors changed. Im sure there were better but they couldnt afford them. Granted from what ive heard the VO is good in the movie. But i was pointing out that all the humans are played by know people and the bots are played by alot of people know one knows. So think about it, how much does it cost to use ILM? How much does it cost to get all these know actors to play the humans, how much does it cost to film a movie. Doesnt leave much for paying VAs. Oh and by the way im glad i made your eyes bleed. Um...when people fight on the Internet, everyone loses. Unless you fight with a mod. Then...

Back on-topic: if this list is an actual bill of voice-actors, then I won't lie. I am relieved. Some of the talent have been around for quite some time, and have proven (in the case of Adler and Harnell, anyway) that they're fully capable of pulling-off some great characterization using voice alone. The fact that this isn't a list of big name talent (even amongst voice actors) might be evidence of two things: either none of the "big" names wanted to be associated with this project (quite possible), or the auditions served their purpose to such an extent that it boggles the mind, and the voice actors chosen are the new characters. Now, even if it is a slim chance in the Pit that the latter is the case...this preliminary news still serves as a source of optimism.

'Cause, when you think about it, these people might not be the crop of solid voice acting talent...but Messick, Welker, Burton, Bell, and Cullen had to start someplace...

Ah! Real Monsters was one of those shows I grew up with and watched religiously, so for me that's a huge bonus point that they got Adler. Depending on how old you are, I don't suppose it would mean that much to you as it does for me.

That kind of voice, from those kind of people? Everyone keeps saying that Jazz is "black" or "brother" but Hasbro didn't have the balls to make a black pretender shell for him. Hmmm, the voice cast seems approraite to me. The onyly thing I dont understand is how come Keith david is only voicing Barricade in the games?

But Jesse Harnell (Captain Hero) for Ironhide sounds freakin cool!

No David Sobolov? Danm!

Charlie Alder for screamer I am amazed about. Although I was really expecting Mark Hamill or Dave Mustaine to play Screamer.

Overall, Good chosen cast. Now if Victor Caroli can be the narrator then I'm happy :D

wouldn't be too hard, considering hes done a few commercials including voicing over for a commercial for the remastered tf movie.

but yeah I definetly want to hear his voice narrating. He's got a great voice. i know I had chills down my spine from awesomeness listening to the original tv show and movie with his voice.

I remember on new years eve (going from 04 to 05) when the ball dropped, I started going "it is the year 2005..." with my impression of him (it's not that close to victor as it is to jigsaw's "i want to play a game" voice, or the guy who always goes "this summer...")
