Tell you what: Bruticus has an awesome case of VHS that works so well for him! It really does work! not to mention how different he and Hot Spot truly are and how different they look and transform in some cases. They did an awesome job here (and his the combiner ports: amazing) Cannot wait to get him

Man, Bruticus looks sooo F#$KING beautiful

Onslaught looks like quite a bit of love went into making him. It's cool to see the added heel's (especially since he longer has hotspot's third-leg-backpack) and it's really cool that you don't even need to partsform the weapons if you want



Oh, and scattershot looks really, really dumb; I'm not sure how I would feel if hasbro never made a proper scattershot if they do indeed make limbs for him. That might be doubly insulting

D-Max I agree this onslaught remold is impressive in every way, it works better than I thought it would. I might have to get this set, well done. I also like this reviewers, everything is simple but well done.

The Bruticus torso looks quite nice - though I am a little unsure about what I think of him having such a darkly coloured combined mode head.


Don't play a drinking game for every time he says "Hotshot" instead of "Hotspot" in that Onslaught Video that might prove lethal.

The thing is, I think it's just a bad choice of color hues and a lack of a new combiner head. It COULD have worked (and may yet still down the line).

At it's core, the Silverbolt torso is still the best of the ones we have.

Also, people say they would like the rest of Computron to be released but I dont. This scattershot is terrible. I dont want to just own a to called Computron, I want to own an actual nice computron toy with a nice nosecone and not the crappy brawl repaint they showed for ramhorm with the teeny tiny nosecone.

I do hope to get a computron since he is the coolest combiner but I dont want him looking like anything they are offering.

They put every care they could into that mold. Probably some of Scattershots too. That is a beautiful mold. I cannot wait for it

You know, the thing with Scattershot is the space ship and the robot mode almost work for me. Well enough at least, but the torso mode is just a joke.
How could Cyclonus be such a win, and Scattershit be such a lose? All they had to do was give him a Computron's head and I would have fallen for it.

I'm with Will. Even if they do the Technobots, I'm not buying it if that is the torso we are supposed to use.

In love with Onslaught (no surprise), even more so with the knowledge that we don't even have to disconnect the cannons (mucho surpriso). Can not wait for Onslaught and his merry men to show up in the mail!

The only reason, and I repeat, the only reason I plan on getting Scattorshot is because it'll be the only way for me to get Onslaught this early in the game. Everyone's individual preorders are sold out.

I'd be more compelled to keep Scattorshot if a) it was confirmed Technobots were on the way, b) if Abominus was also being made (I like even teams, okay?), and c) if he wasn't such a joke in robot and torso modes.

Now might be a good time to consider buying Quantron. And Maketoys is re-issuing the set individually to attract more budget oriented collectors who are disgusted with Hasbros "Silvershot". Smart move by Maketoys. They need to supplement for the loss they are going to take on Guardia.

I did consider it but in the end chose not to get any of the 3 p combiners. While the cost is an issue, the reason I am not fond of them is because I have fun with the scramble city style Hasbro is doing. I like keeping the option to be able to mix and match even if I might not do it. And I really love playing and transforming my toys often. Quantron, from what I read, is not fun to keep transforming back and forth and is made more to be a collector piece for a shelf. Thats not my preferred play pattern at the moment since I have no shelf to pose my tfs on. They are in boxes and I take them out to transform them, have fun, maybe take some pics and then transform them back into the easiest mode to store them in, back in the box.

If Hasbro fails on Computron, it will be sad for sure (they are off to a bad start), but I am not in need of the character that much to go third party. And I would much rather have a combine that matches with the rest (like go third party for most or go Hasbro all the way for consistency's sake).

And Cobotron, glad to know I have you backing my corner. And while you and others find that the vehicle mode is not the worst part, I think it is just as bad as the rest of this toy. The only reason I forgave the insane amount of undercarriage kibble on Silverbolt was because I found it a fun homage to the G1 toy. But using that mold for any other character makes the undercarriage a serious shortcoming. I think it looks really silly on Scattershot especially when there are a bunch of holes across the ship's top that shows the kibble from the top as well as the bottom.

Wonder what G2 Shockwave will look like ? Hope its the all grey pre-transformers deco. I look foward to this so I can finally display my FOC Combaticons as individual bots. I never transformed them before just pulled him out the box and added the boosticus set.

You may be in luck as the pic does seem to be tending towards the cool/grey side of the spectrum, shame he isn't shown in the art

Sadly though, Bruticcus would be the only G2 with the wrong limbs being released. Sups and Menasor both include the right set of limbs that was at first not available at retail, making them perfect homages to their G2 combiner selves. This one though uses the jet mold for Blastoff rather than a space shuttle.

I am also curious to see the deco on the shockwave they include.

And I wasnt trying to be a ballbuster, I just find it cool that while it is perfectly fine for us to reffer to that as galvatronus, we still technically know nothing of what it looks like. While I probably wont get it, I am super curious.

I'm super tempted, if only to have more limbs (as on galvatronus will be a separate fig if they are both cyclonus) but I'm waiting to see pics first, I love all the molds, so it's a no-brainer for me. Wow, TT's galvatronus, and G2 bruticus, that's a lot of cash to drop on repaints, might have to go without

I would like TT's blast-off, but as a separate figure - I don't want a shuttle on my combat vehicle combiner

I have similar feelings. Recon jet that has orbital abilities does sound and look better with the combat team. idk, just makes sense to me

I'm holding off to see what Takara does for Bruticus. Shuttle Blast-Off, torso fix for Brawl, and maybe an extra gun for Onslaught; I hope. I really don't like they're using hot SPOTS guns like that.

So with the limbs and torsos out, when are the legends coming? I'd really like to get that Shockwave in hand.

If the Combiner Wars G2 Menasor and G2 Superion sets announced earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con were up your alley, then you'll be equally excited about Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus! A poor quality image of the front of the box leaked online yesterday, but now we've got some official images directly from Hasbro that we can share with all of you that Hasbro showed us during a presentation earlier this week.

Bruticus is a Decepticon Combiner made from the Combaticons Onslaught, Swindle, Brawl, Vortex and Blast Off. As an extra bonus, a Legends Class Shockwave figure is included so that you can recreate those classic scenes from the Generation One episode "The Revenge of Bruticus". This giftset presents all 6 of these characters in classic Generation 2 colors. Of special note is Shockwave, whose color scheme homages his 1990 G1 Action Master counterpart.

While an exact date was not specified for this product's release date, we're estimating some time around next summer (early 3rd quarter).
