TRUKK NOT MUNKY
Now:
JET AND MUNKY AND ROBOT
Time Flies....

Simplicity itself! And equally awesome.
Some tolerance issues in the right arm when you retract it during jetmode.
His helmet is painted ABS PVC. Wished it was molded dark purple blue.
The "head mode" black color in the robot "brow" clashes with the helmet blue. Wished there was some uniformity
He's got somewhat kissable lips
Headmaster pilot is painted unlike the plain Skyshadow version
Keeping the back panel locked is a bit of an issue. (That part prevents his hip/lower half from separating).
Tank transformation is a piece of engineering marvel for its simplicity though I find the tank mode to short/squished like the ChoroQs
Base mode would have been nice to have some antennas or towers like the original
Can't wait for the Takara version!
G1 Rules! Again!

Heh, while that second panel is the two them arguing "Truck vs. Monkey", the first panel is both of them in agreement going "Convoy not Optimus Prime!"Albatross250 wrote:Then:

* Twincast (possibly with his TM being dubbed "Broadcast") with the following possible tape/datapad combinations:
** Eject and Steeljaw
** Eject and Ramhorn
** Eject, Steeljaw, and Ramhorn
** Eject and either the Slamdance, Legout, or Decibel combiner pair
* Soundblaster (possibly with his TM being dubbed "Noisemaze") with the following possible tape/datapad combinations:
** Frenzy and Ratbat
** Frenzy and Rumble (since Rumble was shorpacked)
** Frenzy, Ratbat, and Rumble
** Frenzy, Squawktalk, and Beastbox
Speaking of fantasies, Outback or Detritus retools of TM Brawn would have been nice since his vehicle has a good gun mode.
A while back in this thread there was a discussion about a name for Tidal Wave's Titan Master. Some people suggested Ramjet, the name of his Mini-Con partner from Armada, and that works. I don't think I saw anyone suggest Flattop (the grey-and-purple Micromaster jet with a gray-and-purple aircraft carrier that turned into a jet for him), though, but I think that would also work. Altermately, you could treat Tidal Wave himself as an upsized Flattop (in the same vein as Universe Countdown, Dropshot, etc) - the color scheme sure fits.

Also, Octane had a gun form

Nope, it's TLK Voyager Hound's missile cannon assembly.

I somehow doubt it's that either considering A. it doesn't look like any of the accessories TLK Hound appears to come with and B. Correct me if I'm wrong, but TLK Hound doesn't even seem to be out yet. He's listed on Hasbro Toy Shop (where he's listed as out of stock) but not on any of the physical retail chains' sites.

Since he's been reviewed by people, I'm assuming Hound is out in some places, just not to proper saturation (yet). And the part I was referring to isn't any of his guns, it's the turret-thing his guns attach to in vehicle mode, which is normally left on his back in robot mode. However, it is removable.
Of course, it could be something else entirely, so sorry in advance if I'm wrong.

I was gonna suggest Flattop, but never got around to it. The rumored name was "Powerhouse", but that turned out to be part of his function.

I've found Hound at TRU and walmart, and that peg box is his turret attachment piece. Also, the turret piece sim molded to look like a (albeit addly shaped) gun. It just needs a stick on the front and it would look like some sort of futuristic laser crossbow.

Yea that link will show the $299 ones. When amazon has some to sell for $99, that link will reflect it. It's been trickling in though so it'll likely show the scalper ones.

Looks like you want 7 weirdwolves, because there is no way in hell this wave is going to have the 3 most desirable figures in stock during a sale. Tail Enders are hard enough already, but hoping for a sale is just ludicrous!

Eh, I dunno. I've noticed a lot of late-line CW stuff on sale here so maybe. I'm just hoping though; not thinking there definitely will be.

The wave ecosystem must be completely different over there. Near me, wave 5 CW showed up for a few week, then dissapeared. Wave 6 just wouldn't die. (No skylynx sadly)

It really depends. So far I have always waited for sales and the only one I missed out on was TR Clobber. I dont feel its a big loss there for everything else I was able to get on the cheap. And in any case, Twin Twist isnt a tail ender, he's part of the massive return to school restock that is a prelude to the Christmas period. I am waiting for a sale and I will make a post when I get it for less than $10 USD
Of course, I am not recomending one way or the other, just saying what I tend to do and how it has worked so far.

Yup, way easier
What helps is that this time, the line ends at the same time as the calendar year so stores will take a bunch for both the BTS and Christmas restock. The tail enders that have been hard to find were those that were scheduled to come out after christmas when stores are less likely to stock up on large quantities of one toy. So its a different matter here.

Well, it wouldn't be that bad but the lea have 70% of the altmode in them. Mine aren't too terribly loose, but some tightening with tissues wouldn't hurt.

To the point I ordered the tribute set, with the orion pax repaint, so I can get a version of the mold with a correct head. (and probably resell the Kup version).

Yeah, someone on the Hasbro team was a bit too much of an IDW fan (IMO TFTM should always take priority when it comes to designing toys of G1 Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Springer, Wreck Gar, Arcee, Wheelie, Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus because they are TFTM+Season 3 characters first and foremost), but I think the regular head might be correctable with some work.

Speaking of loose, loose legs may not be universal but what is universal is the bad design of the cockpit interior. There's no notch for the tab on the back of Flintlock's legs, and there isn't even plastic lining the area where the TM should be seated so Flintlock or anyone else you put in the cockpit is free to just rattle around.

Not at all. I'm not a geewun, I don't care if they use IDW or g1 design as basis. My issue here is the end result, with big lips and the strange armada-like grin/smirk/duckface.

Well, TBH that Optional Optimus Titan Master head is good for the G2 Optimus, and then the Diac head is good for the PMOP Leader-class

I doubt that Tidal Wave's Titan Master has a distinct name at all. None of the Titan Masters that came with the Chaos on Velocitron set had their own names (except for Titan Master Rodimus Prime, of course). The bodies and heads were just treated as singular entities, more like the Japanese G1 concept of Headmasters with Transtector bodies. In other words, Quickswitch, "Laser Prime," and Nautica were the only names we got for those figures. It's not like the regular retail line where we have pairings with two distinct names, like Revolver and Six Shot, Diac and Optimus Prime, or Hyperfire with Blurr. I expect the Siege on Cybertron box set to be no different in this regard.

I do really like the idea of the vehicle being Rollar and the head perhaps being one that complements the voyager or has a head that suits the Powermaster.
Posted by Kurona on July 11th, 2017 @ 4:15am CDT
The head is one of the problems I have with Kup -- that and the colour layout. That's why I'd prefer to wait until he's done into Crosshairs - if that IS happening - so I can get the mold in a better colour scheme
