After last week's sighting of two of the Voyagers from the first wave of Transformers: The Last Knight toys - Premier Edition Optimus Prime and Grimlock, as reported here - we now have some video review of the two figures too, courtesy of peaugh on YouTube and via fellow Seibertronian Madeus Prime. (Edit: We do have previous reviews of Optimus too, enjoy the double feature!)

Optimus is a new mold, reflecting the similar look of the Autobot leader in Age of Extinction and the new upcoming movie, while Grimlock is a silver and grey repaint of the previous movie's same toy, which you can compare in our gallery here. Check them out embedded below!

I like One-Step and simple Transformers Like Minicons or even the Rescue Bots line - being quick to Transform has it's own appeal. I don't like having to take 10 minutes out my day to Transform the average third party toy so much - I find if something is to much of a chore to Transform I don't even bother and leave it on one mode.

Or in the case of ROTF leader Prime I've got 2 of them and I leave one in Truck mode all the time as it's to much of a chore to Transform it.

------

Oh and I notice that Infernocus looks like the Demonic guys Optimus is fighting in the latest Trailer.

I'm actually quite impressed with Voyager Optimus Prime's transformation. Never considered getting him, but I may change my mind--not for $30 though.

That Grimlock bit was not amusing, so stupid. Some people might actually want to see a review comparing AOE versus TLK. I've passed on this Grimlock twice, but i would still like to see the color variations. As would others im sure. Take that crap to politico. Capitalist oppressors. I didnt join this site to hear peoples politically driven statements. Enough already.

The "Capitalist Oppressors" comment was just a joke, I can assure you, not a legitimate political opinion. He was just making fun of the figure. It would be similar to someone saying "Thanks Obama" in response to a straight repaint. It's sarcastic, and is not what the person actually thinks. Don't worry, we wouldn't have posted it if we thought it was politically fueled in any way.

Confirming most of the news we have been reporting since the first sightings (such as this one), Transformers: The Last Knight toys are not technically supposed to be sold in stores until 24th April - but can still be displayed, as shown by latest sightings in the Kmart of Farmingville, Long Island by fellow Seibertronian Scottimus Prime. Among the usual Voyagers and Deluxes, we also have the first sighting on here of the Turbo Changer Bumblebee, along with wave-mate Optimus Prime.

If you come across any new figures, from this or other Transformers lines, make sure to help out the community by noting it in the Sightings Database, and in the regional forums. In the meantime, check out the images below!

We have a video review of Knight Armor Turbo Changer Optimus from Transformers: The Last Knight. We now know this will be available as part of the first wave of toys hitting everywhere the 24th of April. The video shows you the transformation and the helmet gimmick at work.

Enjoy!

Visited a Toys R Us in Evansville, IN and found the new Legends class figures.

They were selling them for 9.99 a piece.

They also had the Tiny Turbo Changers. Forgot to check the price, though.

Alrighty then.

I'm actually looking forward to this line quite a bit. I really hope they don't pull an AoE and make all the good toys TRU exclusive in the UK though. Voyager (or Leader) Megatron is probably my number 1 want, though from what little we've seen of him Nitro looks great too. Barricade and Berserker both look awesome but I wish they were better painted. I kinda want the new Drift and an AoE Drift to go with him as a kind of "Red Oni, Blue Oni" pair (need to come up with new names and identities).

Speaking of that new Drift, anyone know whether some of the photos were mis-transformed, or does his vehicle kibble really hang down all the way past his knees? I've probably said this before, but the paint apps on his chest all severely lacking, and if his kibble really is like that then that's pretty much the final nail in the coffin for me.

In other Transformers: The Last Knight toy news, we have a video review for two one-step figures, or Turbo Changers as they're known now, via fellow Seibertronian chuckdawg1999. You can check out the embedded video below, including some thoughts on the figures, and join the conversation in the Energon Pub!

The One Step changers are back as Turbo Changers. Hound and Barricade are the only new molds in wave 1 and they're fun. Barricade is the shining star and features a rotating wrist gun, gotta love the extra play value. Definitely fun and make great desk toys, worth a pickup.

Megatron's master plan to destroy the Autobots once and for all was thwarted upon realizing he could not bend his elbows or knees.

Drift is a re-tool / re-shell of his AOE toy. So its safe to say his car kibble should fold up and peg to his back.

However, since I do not believe we've actually seen his back directly, its hard to say.

My money is on mistransformation though.

Which Hasbro is showing 0 signs of attending. Plus its in July, 3 months after the movie toys are released. I am pretty sure we wont get the first full image of Nitro in both modes at an event.

Yeah, they are marked with price tags but no one has been able to actually purchase them so far. When I went, the cash froze up and they had to call a manager who had to take the toy away, and put a key in the cash for me to proceed with my other purchases. They were then removed from the shelves until they are allowed to be up.

But we dont know if thats the case for all TLK toys. Like thoe tiny turbo changers, it would be really fun to know if they can actually be bought. Because the whole idea of newsing something is to help out the community and while spotting new toys is still news, it only really helps anyone if they can be purchased. Finally, a Scout/Basic size Barricade. Though I refocused my collection in recent years to G1 and it's offshoots, some movie toys remained such as Wreckage, Dirt Boss and the Real Gears.

Plus Barricade appeared in the background in the IDW comics so that to me makes him G1.

I'll definitely pick him up.

i am just curious here, since when is IDW G1? sure, it uses some G1 characters in new scenarios but so do the movies, animated and Prime. I never saw why that would make it G1 over any other reinterpretation, let me know your thoughts when you have a sec.

Because it was officially stated as such. While it may have moved towards bringing in many other continuities as a reference point with the G1 characters and ideas being a basis, it was very clear from the beginning that they were directly using G1 designs and primary inspiration. I really don't see how you can look at Infiltration Prowl and Animated Prowl and just figure they're doing the same thing.

Regardless, I highly doubt this is a conversation to have here and Windsweeper was simply stating their own headcanon and/or preferences. This is a thread about TLK toys. I'm sure whether or now IDW is G1 is an interesting subject (in my opinion it originally very clearly was but has gradually moved away from that), but let's give it its own separate topic or at least keep it to the IDW threads.
