Below you will find video reviews for all Scout class toys including Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock and Bumblebee. As you will see, those toys do not fully transform. Their gimmick remained largely unknown so this is our first good look at a few of them.
There are also videos for Ultra class Grimlock, Bumblebee and Starscream.
Enjoy!

Wasnt that basically the deal with all of G1 as well?

Not quite. The Autobot Cars and larger toys focused on retooling or switching out parts, while smaller toys like the Jumpstarters, some Mini-Bots and most Micromasters have shared transformations instead. More recently, the AoE One-Steps had a few standard schemes (the "switchblade" has become a mainstay), which RiD 2015 expanded on. Cyberverse seems to be revisiting some.

Shockwave is literally way too good for the line

I think it's perfectly logical

They're definitely f** ugly and very overpriced for their size. I will be bypassing the series. I'd rather own a bad bot like armada hotshot than any of these, im dead serious.

Because Shockwave is objectively the best Transformer, and is deserving of such quality figures.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Why is it that pretty much every Shockwave of the line looks amaze balls, while the rest are quite lackluster?

I'm still sad that he lost the Prime Vote

heck,
its barely a friggin Happy Meal toy.
Having once owned the entire line of the transforming Transformers: Animated Happy Meal toys, they had more play value than what I see here.
I own them all too, and they are alot more fun. But someone said that they had windup mechanisms, and I will say that they don't. The french ones do, but not the american ones that I have
i would rather play with a French Fry-bot and a Rock Lord.

It's VERY impressive overall. Seriously, where's the line is at so far is definitely the Ultras.

Well, Megatron is a worthy buy and even if he's not for me, only good things were said about Optimus. Plus the way this Grimlock transform is pretty original. I want Grimlock, Megs, and Shocky so far. I'm really curious to know how Bee and Screamers will turn out?

And that leader megatron is really not all that great. I only like his alt mode and transformation.

How much was it in CAN$?
Anyway, may be worth buying at the very least on sale.

The toy can be found on the TRU site here, currently listed for HK$169.90 (approx USD 21 at the time of writing), and sporting a whole lotta blue paint all over and the Action Attacker gimmick Lightning Slash. Check it out below!
Thundercracker and the evil Decepticon Seeker jets soar through the sky launching attacks on Autobots.
Convert and attack with Transformers Cyberverse Action Attackers!Change figure from vehicle to robot mode in 7 steps. The last step of conversion automatically activates Thundercracker figure's signature Lightning Slash Action Attack move! Once converted, attack move can be repeated through easy reactivation steps.
Look for other Action Attackers figures, each sold separately, to discover the signature attack moves of favorite Cyberverse characters!

Whelp, guess I'll begrudgingly "good enough" finish my RiD2015 Seekers after all.
I have been eyeballing Starscream at Target and this give me a reason to check out the mold.
I don't know why but this line confuses me. Almost bought a legion class figure until I figured out they were the ones that don't fully transform. WTH?
The warriors look pretty good. Is Shockwave the one everyone's talking about? Almost bought him, hesitated and he was the only one gone the next day.

Ah, explains that. He did look super cool with his "angry eye". Not really filling the bot on his back walker tank though.william-james88 wrote:Yes, shockwave is the one people find serviceable and the only one selling out in stores.
Tomatoes, potahtoes - same thing.ZeroWolf wrote:There isn't any Legion class with this line, what you saw and thankfully avoided was the scouts. Also no surprise there with Shockwave, I think everyone knows now that he's the best in the line.
Oh that's right, this line has that spring loaded action figure thing. And all I want is a complete set of *insert universe here* Seekers. Screamer does look cool and if there is any attack gimmick it doesn't seem to compromise the figures, at least at a glance.ZeroWolf wrote:To do that they would have to retool it enough to do the attack gimmick
Everything I saw looked pretty nice with nice sculpting and good paint apps. IIRC, they are a few cyberbucks less than the mainline figures. I'll be cherry picking from the line for sure, you know if PotP and the special editions stop sucking my wallet dry.

Supposedly that's what we're getting, but they're likely tetra jets like from the cartoon if you're OK with that.

Should we tell him guys?
He has has 0 leg articulation, both are just solid pieces.

You know the irony? All of Shockwave's articulation is a happy accident since the spider tank mode requires all limbs to be able to bend. The rest has barely past the bare minimum for transformation, and in Starscream's case, the legs are a solid chunk for stability when using the gimmick I'm guessing.

Just in case not, here it is:
Unless the thing is on clearance, I will never buy. Once again, it's just a bot with a jetpack.
At least, Grimlock have something original going on.

I know it's more expensive for you Aussies for... reasons, but this is RIDICULOUS. Especially when the CAN and AU $ is pretty much 1:1.

Considering they're right next to POTP deluxes which were (they've been reduced to $29, but they were $35) which are much better looking figures and are slightly more complex, yeah, ridiculous doesn't quite cover it.
