Chefatron is at it again, this time providing us with a review of the new Titan Master Ramhorn! Ramhorn is a retool of the wave 4 Shuffler Titan Master, with his little vehicle transforming from a Rhino to a tank to a missile launching gun. He will be available along with the rest of wave 5 some time this summer. Check out the review below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Could have done with a better closeup of the head to see if it's retooled from the elephant snout, but o well. Hope to see more of those unused HM designs in the future.

He will be renamed when I get him though. In case you're wondering, the Battle Beast counterpart is Rocky Rhino, aka Greysharp.

I am now really wondering why this is the only titan master we are seeing. How can this be the only new guy in the wave? And can we at least know who else is released in that wave? it looks like this is a solid case.

If there was more than one new one in that wave, wouldn't it have been found with the Ramhorn? If Wave 5 has been released over there, they wouldn't just get Ramhorn.

Unless its a solid case. We've had solid cases in the other classes. But yes, that would be odd. But even if this is the only new titan amster, I would at least want to know who is repacked. Clobber, for instance, is hard to track down since his wave was repalced by a repack wave that didnt include him.

Crazy theory: what if wave 4 had the extra deluxe so the figures were released before the movie, and wave 5 is short on figures because they are being released around the movie. The movie has taken priority so rather than release a full wave, they are releasing only a partial wave so they are still releasing the figures, but allowing more room for the movie guys. Might also be why we've not heard anything solid about wave 6 leader because that is when the movie leaders are meant to come

Apeface can barely be seen in the initial pics on the store shelves. Unless that is old store stock.

Not all of wave 5 is out over there...the Deluxes & Leader Overlord have yet to be seen. There is little doubt that movie toys will make other lines scarce (not disappear completely, but very limited)...it happens every time unfoprtunately.

I really like the colors and paint of Ramhorn as a titan master head. Does anyone else worry about GPS or am I just being paranoid? It kinda looks like a coppery color to me although I don't have the greatest sense of color at times.

No need to fear GPS, as Ramhorn has none of the stuff. His missile rack is all paint.

Titanmasters are really hard to get in the UK - short of collectable shops that get them they are pretty much an Amazon buy - they hardly make it to eBay either.

It's strange as I found a seller in America selling Rescue Minicons cheap, it would be great if there was a similar good sale on Legends and Titanmasters as for some strange reason major retailers don't seem to want to list either to buy online.

I think I'm going to end up importing the vast majority of wave 3 on wards on the smaller toys, unless they just show up out of no where like the RID & Rescue Bots Minicons did not so long ago.

I bought Shuffler on Amazon for $8.99 with free shipping. took about a week to get him. The day after I got him, I found him at TRU for $5.99. #-o

I remember finding Wave 2 at TRU. Never saw Wave 1 or 3 of the Titan Masters. Walked in last Thursday and they had Wave 4.

Ugh... Hasbro really needs to rethink the strategy of having 3 similar price points across 3 different lines. I've seen RiD Legions, Movie Legions and Titan Masters on the same single peg, and now my local Walmart has removed the Titan Master price cards. Because they're not selling? NO DUH, they're not putting them out and put the WRONG items on their pegs! Of course they weren't selling! :BANG_HEAD: :BOOM:

*takes a deep breath*

Sorry about that. I just want to find Shuffler, is that so much to ask?

Finally bit the bullet and (way!) overpaid for the Velocitron box set. (I missed the release from TrU in the chaos of moving.) Sweet set. Stickers are beautiful in hand on Laser Prime...but the application.... Fastclash is awesome, though I can see why someone who hasn't the nostalgia I have with growing up G1 would be disappointed. He holds very true to the original. I can also see why Hasbro maybe decided not to release him (though I think a Legends release would have been better than a red Bumblebee Cliffjumper Chase Roadburn). I don't particularly have an attachment to Nautica and may try to recoup the cost by eBaying her, but she is a very decent reuse of the Blurr mold, in my opinion. (It helps that I really like that mold. I think she is my 4th version of the mold...5th?)

Quickswitch.....yeah, I like the deco, don't like the mold reuse here, as many have stated. Perhaps I will come up with some form of fan made butt-ugly hovership and keep him like that...

(gotta find me a screen capture from the Japanese toon...)

Shark Jumper over at TFW2005 has given us some good news: he found Titans Return Blitzwing and Octone at US retail! They were spotted at the Manhattan beach, California to the slightly jarring tune of $28.99 US. Tell us what you think of this potential price hike in the comments, below the provided photo evidence!

I think Scourge rocks it best. If I did not have the amazing Unite Warriors Grand Scourge, I'd be getting this new one.

I've gone all Takara on Headmasters, except for Blaster, Wheelie, Bumblebee, Shockwave, and Soundwave, so I think I will wait for Takara's Blitzwing.

Wow... these two voyagers being sighted in the U.S. mere days after first being sighted in the Philippines, that's either very impressive, or quite a fluke. Either way I'm hunkering down for a long summer drought of TF buying as the movie line takes over, which is fine because I need to build funds back up again.

Even if these by some miracle do make it to my area before August..the only ones I want are Ramhorn (which is inexpensive), then Overlord and Trypticon, which have no indication of release date yet. ....oh and then there's the Cybertron Box Set...BBTS can spring that on us at any moment. I'm wont be in a rush to get it, unless it has limited/short supply...

Yikes! A $4 price hike on Voyagers? That's disappointing. I just picked up Broadside from Target last week for $24.99. Has anyone else seen this pricing?

I think it's very possible that it's the store's own prising rather than RRP. Makes sense considering other recent voyagers they've got (TLK) are that price, so they might have marked them up because they figured it made sense or it's an accidental mix-up. One Transformers Voyager price listing might look like another in some employees' eyes.

If this is a change to Generations' RRP though,

So, Wave 5 Voyagers are being sighted, before Wave 4 has seen any sort of wide release at all, save for Broadside. Only news on Wave 4 Deluxes I've seen is that they were randomly showing up at Walgreens, usually in solid batches of one figure. I just barely found Shuffler at a TRU (Repugnus was already gone) after they'd done a reset for their entire Transformers section...and they were the only Wave 4 figures.

Tell me, am I the only one who has noticed fairly spotty distribution, bordering on awful, since about the middle of Combiner Wars? Nothing from ANY wave of either line has been on the shelf at the same time, and sometimes, only shows up once and is gone. Take for instance, the Protectobot wave. Never saw Hot Spot or the Deluxes on the shelf at the same time, and only saw the Deluxes once. In TR, from the start, none of any wave has really shown up together.

My big question is this: Why is distribution so crap in the last year or two? Is it Hasbro not distributing the figures in a unified manner, or retailers not ordering all of one assortment at the same time, or what? I enjoy TF hunting as much as anyone, but it's gotten to the point where ordering them online, though a bit more expensive, is the easier way to get which figures I want.

Alright, this finally got me to quit lurking and post. I have been searching for the Chaos on Velocitron set since it was first news'd that they were at stores. Not a single box has shown up at any TRU I have been to (every single one in a 50 mile radius of home). Not even a display location for them. Did I really miss out due to the awful distribution and shelving practices of TRU? Or do we think more shipments are coming?

I wanted QS, Fastclash, and Nautica, didn't really care if I got Laser Prime and Rodimus. I definitely don't want to pay the ridiculous scalper prices I am seeing either.

Anyone know if there are sets still available in their area?

Retailers order per product code and each class has its own. For instance here are TRU's MFR# for the different classes:
C0882 Tiny Turbo Changers
C0889 Legions
C0887 Deluxe
C0891 Voyager

They order each individually and Hasbro fulfills the order when they can. When a new line begins, Hasbro has them all ready to give to stores at once and stores want the new product on the shelf so you usually get the first wave or 2 synched up. But as the line goes on, a store will only order and stock what they need. They dont know whats new, its all C0891 to them and not TLK Wave 1 Prime and TLK Wave 2 Hound. A new voyager in Titans Return Wave 6 will look like an old toy to them because its the same class code. The look into their computer, see that they have a bunch of that class code and can thus choose not to order since you have a new voyager class code assiciated to wave 1 of the next line. So technically, the waves mean nothing to retailers, nothing. Orders are made by the corporation to Hasbro when they think they need more, orders are fulfilled by hasbro when hasbro can do it, and then toys are stocked from the warehouse of retailers onto the show floor of individual retailers when stores need more of a certain class. So you have at least 3 big steps contributing to whether a class can be seen on the show floor at any given time. And that class can come from any wave.

Hence why it doesnt look coordinated (because it isnt).

And no one really wants to seem to fix it, which is stupid. Newer product is going to sell through faster, period. Stores and Hasbro need to focus on getting the latest stuff on the shelves to keep customers buying. Product codes should more distinct than just "size class." Stores need to cool it on over-ordering on the initial waves so that they're not stuck with a glut of unwanted figures for months. Hasbro may need to plan it's roll out of new toys better so that there is a bigger selection to ship for a sustained period of time. Honestly, there are ways to fix this that will mean more sales and money and less waste and frustration for everyone involved, but no one cares to change anything.

I really don't understand the distribution either...How can a Target store where I purchased TR Leader Sixshot (literally the only one I've seen at retail to date).. then a month later somehow get CW Voyager Silverbolt & Motormaster...I mean you could tell these were case fresh, not something that somebody returned, or that had "fallen in a hole" in the stockroom last year, these were brand spanking new...?

Wave 4 Nightbeat looks different than Wave 1 Nighbeat!
Repugnus,Shuffler,and Nightbeat are AWESOME.

The sets are mostly sold out for now, but thats the initial shipment. These sets have yet to be found elsewhere in North America and we know Canada is getting them so Hasbro is sending out more boxsets to North America for sure.

One way to do it would be to have codes for each wave, treating them each as new products everytime (which they are).

Not a single box has shown up at any TRU I have been to (every single one in a 50 mile radius of home). Not even a display location for them. Did I really miss out due to the awful distribution and shelving practices of TRU? Or do we think more shipments are coming?
Anyone know if there are sets still available in their area?

The sets are mostly sold out for now, but thats the initial shipment. These sets have yet to be found elsewhere in North America and we know Canada is getting them so Hasbro is sending out more boxsets to North America for sure.

One way to do it would be to have codes for each wave, treating them each as new products everytime (which they are).

Yeah, if every store can have a different code for every lego set that comes out, they can certainly do the same for 4 waves of figures across various price points

Hit 5 walgreens, target, meijer, and 2 walmarts in my town, and found nothing new. I'm beginning to seriously worry that I'm gonna miss Shuffler and Quake - that's all I want, shame the online stores aren't breaking up the waves for them.

Yeah they should definitely at least give new codes each wave. I can walk into almost any store and buy a Lego set that's come out in the 8 months. But of course I'm sure Lego sells better.

And each set having a unique code explains that. I always wondered why Lego was so plentiful.
