While many collectors pass on these toys due to their simplistic nature, I think they're missing out on some fantastic engineering. There are three figures in this wave and each one features its own, unique transformation. I think most people will go for Fixit since that's the new, kid friendly character, but Grimlock and even Steeljaw have something to offer.

Do they ask to play with your G1 toys?
Well, my youngest is 1, so he is still safe. My 2 year old, however, is not. My G1 figures are kept out of sight in my toy room, so he doesn't see them. My masterpieces are on display, and those he wants. Hence why I've started giving him armada toys to play with.
That's cute! I'll be a dad this summer, hence all my questions. Looking forward to that stage.
Congrats man! Fatherhood is the single greatest and most rewarding journy a man can take. No feeling on earth compares to your child looking up and smiling at you. You'll find the kids laughter to be the sweetest music you've ever heard. That first time you gaze on your newborns face, you'll finally start to understand the true meaning of life.
That said, get as much sleep as you can now. Trust me on this.

I will be picking up Drift, after that, no more one steps. They increase the price 20%, and give us retools of used molds and the new ones are either sh*t from the get go or a disaster waiting to happen......

And I really hope that when they do make that figure, his alt mode rake becomes his robot mode antlers.

Still, more Con representation so far than the entire AoE line.

If every Con gets a Warrior toy, then they will definitely outnumber the Autobots this time around.Shuttershock wrote:In general, I wish for more Cons at warrior scale. Given what I've seen of Underbite and Steeljaw, it feels like the Cons are going to be fun this time around, plus it'd be nice if they were counted in even number with the Bots.

Not yet. So far, in the deluxe class and voyager class (and corresponding warrior and hyperchange class), we only have steeljaw (unless you also count fracture as minicon deployer) while AOE had both Lockdown and Galvatron.
And for the one steps, while RID has 4 cons so far, AOE did have Megatron, Galvatron, Lockdown , Stinger (walmart exclusive) and now has Junkheap and Vehicon as power battlers.

How would you get his antlers on his head though?

You don't, but the shoulders and chest sorta look right. I was gonna dsay the same thing. Just put his rake on rthe end of Scoop's bucket arm. If that's what it takes to get a decent Genrations quality Thunderhoof, I really don't care about his antlers that much.
And actually, I think there's enough flext in the bucket arm, one might be able to mod a clip into the back of the Robot head so the bucket snaps in. You lose neck articulation though, unless you make it a seperate piece, but I don't think anyone wants that.
EDIT: Dagonit, I fogotabout Scoop's huge front gap... I wonder if you coukd do him backwards?

These toys have a lot of flaws, i.e. price, lack of paint apps, non locking panels, fragility, but I can't help but like them. The character design is so new and different, that I feel they make up for their flaws in style alone.
I don't recall anybody mentioning Steeljaw's cool segmented and ball jointed tail. It's a really neat feature.
Just keeping my cup half full y'all.

Yeah. You can use either head in either mode. If you use his robot head in beastmode, he looks like an actor in a Godzilla suit.

What impresses me is that we now have 4 versions of Grimlock that each transform uniquely, but still end up basically in the same bot mode.

It's also funny that the best articulated one is the Deluxe.

Side note, has anyone had problems with Warrior Bee standing? I just cannot get him to stand for the life of me. He doesn't even have a heel, so I don't see why he should stand. I also got CW Silverbolt and he's also precarious to stand as his heel doesn't lock into a position where it's flush with his foot. Instead it forms a V shape, and for such a tall figure that can be a problem. I'm so happy with the stuff I bought today for the most part, but they all have a nagging problem.

You never fail to amaze me with how illogical some of your posts are.
It doesn't matter psj, all you're saying is that he looks like a Mustang and not a Porsche or Mazda, any TF fan with a brain and an average knowledge of cars could tell you that.

Dude, did you read my reply? I didn't disagree with you. All I said was you were stating a fact that everybody can see for themselves, in other words, it was pointless.

Play with this Too is coming to take over the hero mashers industry over !

Then I bought Drift. I'm hooked on Warrior Class. Except for Optimus. He really is the one I won't buy. I've watched videos, I've seen images, and he's just completely unappealing to me altogether.
I even bought into the One-Steps. Fixit is AMAZING. Underbite is actually quite good as well, and it helps that he's an awesome character on the show.
I hate to admit it, but I'm going to keep buying these figures. They have just the right balance on almost everything. Compromise from animation model to figure, transformation complexity and even articulation.
Impressive considering it's the kid's line.

I enjoy the Hero Mashers as new-school Action Masters. These RiD ones should be a good chance to get some more of these cool Decepticons that they probably won't touch in the actual lines of transforming product.

I have ZERO desire to own a single Hero Masher, but I'd go out of my way to buy them and rub it in the faces of Play With This Too.
All that time spent telling us 3rd parties are basically evil, "Buy Hasbro!" and giving us all a bunch of noncommittal answers at 'cons, only to run as fast as they can to make their own company ripping off their former employers and NOW it's okay to 3rd party all night long.
Screw them.
Also, we've gotten some really killer crap as of late and I have to wonder if the new team is responsible for it and if so, was it the PWTT team that was holding us back? (At least to some degree, I know Hasbro has the final say and they're no saints.)
Just pure crap.

They don't, but I guess they are superficiously similar to HM, so the original post made a comparison and... well nature took its course.
