You might remember that exclusive sticker sheet that Hasbro Asia was promoting as a purchase incentive for Combiner Wars figures - thanks to YouTube reviewer TeamSKLeader, we get a nice look at this official add-on set, and find out its flaws and pros. There is a full list of videos showing them applied to the different figures, but the one embedded below shows the whole set, and general thoughts by our fellow fan!

Looks like a nice freebie.... but I gotta say I am LOVING the ones I got from Reprolabels a LOT more. Skydive was already my favorite combiner from this set... but the added details on the chest and arms really popped.

These... I don't know. They're ok, but they don't do much for me. Maybe the Silverbolt or Alpha Bravo ones since I don't have any add ons for them... yet.

Paid worse in this hobby, but I don't mind the looks of Bravo or Offroad and am perfectly happy renaming them. I do kinda want Slignshot though, since I have a thing for Harriers

CapturedPrey.com has Brakeneck and Quickslinger for pre-order at $18.00 each. I pre-ordered one of each and with shipping, just under $45.00 for the two. Compared to what I normally pay for 3rd party figures, $45.00 for two Deluxe Class figures is chicken feed.

I think they might have to basically make all the parts of each for that and then melt back down the unused parts, depending on what parts are on what mold sprue. Just a guess.

And I remember back when just getting a new head was something special. And even to back before that, to when it just plain didn't happen at all.

The biggest Issue with the decals is that they are the flat gray, and the overall quality of them are fairly mediocre. I have them on Superion and Menasor, and while they do look quite nice, closer inspection really shows the flaws that they have. Also of note, Prime does not have a set for himself. Only the Aerialbots and Stunticons do.One more note is that here in Singapore, the 'official' way to get them is to buy $50 worth of combiner wars figures in one batch. So while it technically can be considered a freebie, its actually a bit expensive in practice. >:oP

Strange question, but if anyone has Breakdown in hand... is there a way to transform him to better look like Sideswipe? If they're repainting him, I'd be really disappointed if he didn't have the classic car hood chest.

But Sideswipe is not one of the '84 Autobots who are getting CW figures. Only Ironhide, Sunstreaker, Prowl, and Mirage are.

I think I'm going to wait until BBTS or TFSource gets a hold of these guys. $65 for two additional figures I "technically" don't need is a bit too rich for my blood.

Here's to hoping Amazon gets a shipment.

Nope, his chest doesn't do Sideswipe nor Sunstreaker. Only Dragstrip can turn around, of the Stunticon limbs.

Also, I found a better way to make Ultra Prime:

Image

I'm still waiting for Motormaster, Huffer and Blackjack to arrive in Malaysia, and hopefully the stickers too. It would just be a few hours to Singapore by bus, but I'd wait and see, seeing the dismal reviews of the stickers...

One way to store your feests!

Cool turret.

Another way to pimp Optimus Prime. I imagine you'd be able to pull out Menasor's horns for Motormaster, too!

I may be in the minority here, but I've never liked stickers much, and I think the Combiner Wars fires I have so far are fine without them.

So, I got Drag Strip.

He's a great figure with a fun transformation, not unlike Alpho Brava's (Who I got last week).
His weapon is cool, and his hand/foot has some nice wrist-weapon molding. (Reminds me of a railgun.)

His alt-mode looks nice, though it obviously doesn't scale with a helicopter.

I have only two complaints, both probably down to QC.

His combiner joint is REALLY HARD TO GET OUT. I need to use clippers to get it out.

Second is the paint. His small forehead crest is sort of blotchy, and a bit of his face;s paint (near the visor) is missing. His dark-magenta paint doesn't match up with the magenta plastic (though it isn't really THAT noticeable), and it too is a bit blotchy at times. Last but not least, his cockpit's black paint is a teensy bit sloppy as well.

All in all, I give him an 8.5/10, as compared to Alpha Bravo's 9/10.

I wouldnt blame the scalpers. It doesnt matter either way. These are exclusive AND limited items (Hasbro is not making as much of these as the other limbs). And there was a great demand amongst fans. Takara's TF Adventure Nemesis Prime sold out in a day and he didnt have as much demand so why wouldnt this set sell out as fast? Any fan who wanted these bought them as soon as they were available. It's fine to not like the price and hesitate but this is what happens. I wouldnt blame anybody for it (except myself for hesitating).

That said, I am sure other online retailers will have these too. But take note of this and don't hesitate next time unless you are ok with not owning it. There is no way these will ever go on clearance.

It's not prices I'm annoyed by so much as the disappearing act. There isn't even a "sold out", the listings themselves seem to be gone.

The again, I'm not exactly one of the clamorers, I just want them because they go with the rest of the Combiner Wars "Scramble Nation" (I'm trying to make "Scramble Nation" a thing) figures.

Fair enough, I missed out on TF Adventure Swoop as well. But I didnt blame any scalpers for an exclusive item selling out (Japan exclusive in this case). That's all I wanted to say.

Since then I learnt my lesson and kept up to date every day on the availability of figures either by keeping a close watch on online retailers or this news site (which becoming a staff member helped quite a bit). And I would recomend everyone who missed out on these to do the same like that they dont miss it when these figures are available at another online retailer. Seibertron will let you guys know the next time they are available so please keep a close eye on us.

I don't either, or at least no more than normal. This is the same thing that keeps happening all the time with any new figure that people are the least bit excited for. It's available somewhere, word goes out, the fandom descends like locusts, and tough luck to those who blinked. Generations Arcee comes to mind, and I'm pretty sure Generations Rattrap was like that at first too.

Has there ever been any clarification on just who will be able to sell these? I checked with my local comic shop and they looked into it and said they didn't find them available for order from their distributors. I was hoping to support them since they have started carrying the Combiner Wars line now, but am afraid to wait and see if these things are going to keep selling out in a matter of hours. Its difficult enough anymore finding Hasbro's regular retail releases at non-scalper prices (6" Black Series Vader still amazes me, only Vader I have ever not even seen at retail), no way I want to have to track these down on the secondary market.

Aye, he was released earlier this year. After missing out on pre-orders on BBTS I ordered one from a seller on Amazon and got scammed, they sent one of those cheap non-posing brick figures. Fortunately, Amazon refunded me my money, but by that point they were sold out at BBTS and Amazon. That Vader looks awesome too.

The Combiner Wars Wave 2 Stunticon limbs are now available on Amazon.com for 18.99$ each. These are ship and sold by Amazon.com. Those figures include:

Off Road

Breakdown

Dead End

The following figures, needed to complete your Menasor, are also ship and sold from Amazon.com:

Motormaster for 26.99

Dragstrip for 15.99

Blackjack 10.99

Everyone of these figures is Prime eligible. Keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates!

I finally got my Wave 2 limbs from HTS. Boy they're really nice! Menasor has some pretty chunky legs but looks real tough. I'll wait until Blackjack hits the store before I get it though, as my GDO Deadrider figure is making an excellent chest plate for Menasor.

I thought that Breakdown was a little challenging to transform without the instructions. I didn't realize that the shoulders flipped downwards along the figure's sides to unlock the piece the head is attached to. Pretty clever engineering there.

They have already upped the prices of the Wave 2 deluxes to 18.99. Seriously Amazon, you did the same thing with CW Megatron two days ago. I know they have to make a profit but still... Ah well, I found CW Megatron yesterday, so logic would dictate that I have a good chance of seeing the limbs soon as well.

Um, what?

Hasbro decides the basic retail price, unless I'm mistaken.
But it's the retailers, physical and online, that can increase or decrease it.

So, in short, hush.

It occurs to me that I phrased my complaint about Captured Prey yesterday poorly. Figures sell out. This is natural.

When they do, however, the reasonable thing is for their listing to say they're sold out. What is probably not such a great idea is to remove the listings entirely but leave the big picture on the front page saying they're available for preorder that leads to the Combiner Wars category they are no longer listed in.

I spent more time than I'd care to admit thinking I just wasn't looking hard enough before locating the search thingy and discovering that they were just no longer listed.

Amazon will drop the prices down to retail. They always do. I suggest using a plug-in called camel tracker to monitor the prices. It'll send you an update when they drop.

Breakdown would be my favorite Stunticon but the hips are just too wonky and I don't like the amount of force I have to use to peg them into the arms.

People have been wondering what Rook would serve as and I am pretty much set on him being the mold Hasbro will use for Brawl. Sure, the original Brawl was a Tank but if they insist on scale, an APC vehicle might be more appropriate than a tank (still waiting to see if there will be a space shuttle though  ).

Also, the more recent Brawl figures weren't tanks either:

My theory/hope is this:

Onslaught=Hot Spot, redeco/retool (new head, guns instead of ladder)
Vortex=Alpha Bravo, new head

Brawl to be a new mold tank, not because I'm all "geewun" but becuase I think an update to that to with today's engineering as a deluxe would be awesome. If he's a retool/redeco of Rook, that's fine too.

Swindle could pull off a new tooling of Offroad/First Aid, you think? How hard could it be to make a humvee out of that?

Blast-Off will be a new Legends Class fig, turning into a spaceship (not necessarily a shuttle) and forming Bruticus' Chest plate.

He would then need to be replaced with a more scaled military fighter jet, so maybe a newcomer from the Skydive mold?
Re: Video Review - Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Hasbro Asia Sticker Sheet (1671282)
Posted by King Kuuga on April 5th, 2015 @ 2:20am CDT
Well the thing is Bruticus is going to be a 2016 figure, which means there's room for new molds on him.
Onslaught retool of Hot Spot is still the most likely.
Alpha Bravo was always Vortex.
Swindle, Brawl, and Blast Off could all be new molds. Plus whoever their sixth member is.
Re: Video Review - Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Hasbro Asia Sticker Sheet (1671320)
Posted by Jelze Bunnycat on April 5th, 2015 @ 6:13am CDT
I'd rather have them use Firefly instead of Skydive for a sixth Bruticus member, because we still haven't seen his alternate vehicle parts yet. I'm going by the "2 vehicles, 3 heads" rule for that ;)

For those curious, here's what I have so far (yet again).

First name is the original release,
Second name is the vehicle pretool,
Third is the head pretool
Completed lineups are in bold (meaning they shouldn't be able to be used for more)

Skydive - Air Raid - ???
Alpha Bravo - ??? - Blades
Firefly - ??? - Sling/Quickslinger
Drag Strip - Mirage - ???
Offroad ("Ruckus") - First Aid - Ironhide
Dead End - Streetwise - Wildrider/Brake-Neck
Breakdown - Sunstreaker - ???
Rook - ??? - ???

Just all theories mind you, but if the Protectobots and Technobots are upcoming, We can already make some provisional mold pairings:

Brawl - Nosecone
Lightspeed - Prowl
Afterburner - Groove
Alpha Bravo - Vortex (alternate vehicle parts)

It all comes down to Unite Warriors Guardian (Defensor) and CW Prowl.

Listings for Onslaught and Scattershot were uncovered a month ago. Here's the news item:

Combiner Wars Onslaught and Shockwave figures revealed in store database, posted February 12th

For convenience sake:

Autobot Pipes (63050936835)
Chop Shop (63050936836)
Shockwave (63050936837)
Buzzsaw (63050936838)
Scattershot (63050936922)
Onslaught (63050936923)

Before anyone asks: 4 Legends, 2 Voyagers in that list, supposedly. Shockwave being a Legends Class does make sense, as Bruticus once wielded him (and shot him out of his cannon afterwards) in the G1 cartoon.

I skipped on Microblaze because with these interesting remolds showing up, I'm guessing, sooner or later Hasbro will give us a CW Bruticus.

I don't own either mold yet since I am waiting on the takara version. Would you mind telling me what is so different between the two?

Also, Jelze, how do we know that Mirage will be more of a retool than just the head?

I'm going by the standard fare of the second release being the vehicle retool. But that's no guarantee as Blades and Alpha Bravo have proven.

My Walmart is still full of AOE and nothing but.

That's a shame. There's alot of aoe craps at my walmart, at least three pegs dedicated to deluxe.(no aoe voyagers thankfully.

Now I found them case fresh, I bought all four stunticons I needed, plus a friend of mine bought air raid.

At walmarts. Look for a pallet of toys just sitting around the toy aisle. Usually towards the entrance of their backroom in the toy section, cause I also got lucky and found a case of the leader megatrons.

Firefly on top, Skydive on bottom.

I don't like Firefly because to me, he feels rather loose. Not like loose joints, but you shake him and he kinda rattles, as if he's not screwed in all the way. He has the worst back kibble of all the Arialbots, and his wings don't really go anywhere, like he's wearing half a jet on his back. At least with Skydive and Air Raid, their wings fold up and do something.

And this is somewhat arbitrary, but his hands are the same piece and color of his arms, with no clear stopping/starting point for either.

Now, this is all just me pretty much. But even though Combiner Wars Deluxes all have a very similar, simple-yet-satisfying transformation, I find the Arialbots rather repetitive, as their all guys with jets on their backs. That's why I like Alpha Bravo so much, because he breaks up the monotony. And I also plan on skipping Slingshot, because he is the same mold as Firefly.

And yes, I understand that the Stunticons are also all spot cars of some kind, but they have pretty unique silhouettes.

And this is all my own opinion, too.

Actually, Drag Strip is a Formula 1-esque race car. And Offroad is a truck. So is Menasor.

So, in short, not sport cars.

But I know what you mean. I only picked up Alpha Bravo for laughs, and I MIGHT get the other Arialbots later. But for now, STUNTICONS ALL THE WAY, BABY! :michaelbay:
