Last summer a lot of fans online tossed the idea around of the Animated Lockdown mold being done up in the AOE colors. Well Takara must have had the same thought, because this version of the bounty hunter is really close to those gritty movie colors. All of the issues with the first release of the mold are still here, but that doesn't take away from just how cool this figure is. If you've never experienced the mold that spawned the phrase, "Lockdowned the legs" give this bot a look.

Always liked this figure, has a strong look that doesn't really mimic any other.

Canada? I noticed that some way in MN (WolfmanJake iirc)got there around a weeks from Japan release. If it's registered or parcel, the arrival might be faster for you guys.

Well yeah, thats why I mentiones SAL shipping in my post. The others take way less time. EMS being the quickest of course. SAL is you taking the baggage space of a plane and can take more time for the space to be available (as well as not being direct flights).

My guess is that TFSource, from whom I bought TAV Lockdown, Bombshell, and Shrapnel, had their order shipped out just as the figures were being released official in Takara's market (or perhaps a bit beforehand). They likely pay for faster shipping options as they'll make up some of that cost in the mark-up they charge for their goods. For example, each of the Insecticons I bought were $15.99 USD, while Lockdown was $34.99 USD.

Hasbro Bombshell's head had partial paint apps to his face but not the entire head. TAV on the otherhand had the entire head painted but left his antenna plain.
Kind of a bit disappointing that TT didn't go full pain apps.

fenrir72 wrote:Just noticed some pecularities in Shrapnel and Bombshell. Hasbro's Sharpnel aside from including Reflector had left his "horns" or antennae unpainted. In the TAV version, it's painted silver ( so the extra paint was the cost equivalent to drop off Reflector?)

I just wanted to mention that I dont think reflector has anything to do with this. They would have included paint apps regardless of if he came with shrapnel or not and the reason he isnt included is because there is no one for bombshell and they can sell them both as solo figures.
Also, thanks for pointing out something though: targetmaster reflector is a Hasbro exclusive mold for the time being.

Hasbro's? Yes. I've got FOUR copies of Hasbro's "Skrapnel", and with each, in alt mode, its left antenna droops down far lower than the right one. With the two Takara ones I own, the antennae remain level with one another in alt mode.

I forget which antenna it is but this also happens with the G1 reissue of Skrapnel that came out this year.

Maybe Shrapnel had a stroke? It would explain his vocal tic.

The button marked "reserve" will kinda give you a clue.
As for the policies, I have no idea.

Re-stock. All available. Just waiting for a "pay me now" email. Ordered a Roadblock too.

Prices at par or slightly lower than hlj but amiami still beats them. Artbooks are strangely cheaper with them
Accepts PayPal
Policy.
Cancellations, maybe within the day of ordering, if not, you are stuck with the item.
Never had an issue with returns/or refunds so I can't say
Shipping. One negative with them is that they don't have SAL Parcel for the big stuff. It is immediately EMS. So shipping is a bit pricey with EMS
They also do sal unregistered
If you have accumulated points, can be used to discount the price of item.

Shop there only by desperation because their prices seem awefully expensive.
Also,

I also take into account the fact of the mandatory speedier shipping.

Also might snag Sideswipe. I've warmed up to him more on the show and I need someone for my Strongarm to boss around. I'll grab the one with nice paint, as a colorblind dude who especially has trouble with reds, I'd rather not paint one myself.
Not a fan of Jazz, though. He seems a bit too blocky for my taste, and the extra paint unfortunately doesn't help quite enough.
Posted by PrymeStriker on June 18th, 2015 @ 1:39am CDT
Meanwhile, I think it's safe to say that I'll be getting Takara's Jazz. However, I don't notice any major differences between our Sideswipe and their Sideswipe, just some minor detailing on the crotch and wheels and a different shade of red, so I might just grab the Hasbro version. I need time to consider, first. I mean, you'd think I save money by getting the Hasbro version, but that fucking Optimus just fucking comes out of fucking nowhere and it's like....fuck!
