Not too long ago we reported a sighting of the Hasbro One-Step Stinger at US retail, but Seibertron.com user chuckdawg1999 got his hands on the Takara Tomy Lost Age version, and share his video review of it - check it out below!

While many collectors turn their nose up at the various simplified figures released for Age Of Extinction, Takara/Tomy have really put in a lot of effort making these same figures interesting for everyone. With premium paint jobs and comically strange commercials to match the Lost Age line really stands out. Stinger makes for a fun desk toy while making one hope for a Deluxe version of the character

I have avoided all One-Step figures until now...I picked Stinger up because he's the only vehicle-accurate representation of the character released so far. I'm hoping for a Deluxe with the Pagani Huayra altmode!

I would say give them a chance. I picked up optimus, hound, crosshairs, drift and stinger and I gotta say they are quite the little things. Hound has sculpted dogtags for christ sake. :D

plus drift is awesome to transform.

I picked up Grimlock 1 step changer after thinking about it long time and will be the only toy I will buy from this movie apparently. Basically it has no articulations, dull plastic, poor paint app, not accurate movie colors and $9.99 before tax, very disappointing. Pass on this too.

Y U NO BUY THE VOYAGER? Or the Leader? Those two are great toys, with tons of details and the articulation and complexity you'll expect from a normal TF.

because those were the only options we have had at my local store, and the only store, in key west

Aside that the couple voyagers we got around time ago were even worst talking about inaccurate colors, poor apps and way overpriced, even hasbro online is dreaming on $99.99 for a set of 2 leader class (http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/transforme ... ck-figures) that are not only poor enginiering but really bad modes. I might wait for further revised releases from takara, for now hasbro has just disappointed me, nothing compared with previous movies, were you got real stuff for less that $9.99 or amazing detailed toys. In few words, I pass from movie toys this year.

Amazon Japan has updated its listing for Takara Tomy AD-31 Armor Knight Optimus Prime with some high res official images of the figure. The figure is heavily retooled from the Age of Extinction Leader Class Optimus Prime featuring new weapons, chest, forearms and feet. The image also shows off the new head with either a removable or retractable mouth plate.

It looks like the face switches in the same sort of way Generations Blitzwing's face does. Or more like the top of the helmet opens, allowing for the masked face to be switched with the unmasked face.

I was thinking about just skipping the leader Optimus figure, but I might want to save money for this guy!

If only I wasnt suckered at buying the regular AoE leader OP at 60$+tx at my local TrU, I would consider buying this new one. However, the regular still feel plenty "premium" for me and I wont be spendiong 100$+ on a new leader.

now THATS what im talkin about! this thing is so nice it looks like its a custom job! and yes, total eye candy, but it deverts my eyes from the backpack which is a plus.

someone please tell me that this isnt an exclusive or something? i want it, but since is my second bout with the mold i dont feel like paying crazy money for it. though i probably would.

Ha! Sabrblade, I love that stupid Penguin!

I have had no Interest in AOE (toys, movie, etc.) until NOW. That Prime is too sexy. He is SOOO knightly. Hail and well met, Sir Prime.
Now I can overlook the Gundamus Prime look.
Will he be worth the price tag?

$80.00
Not bad at all for a import.

You're thinking of either:

- Plantinum Series Optimus Prime & Grimlock Voyager 2-pack (with extra chrome)
- Plantinum Series Optimus Prime & Grimlock Leader 2-pack (with more movie-accurate deco)
