But they're much cheaper than the Energon combiners, so that's a plus for those who like 'em. So far I'm not seeing anything I like tho.

Yeah, but no worse than the energon limbs before FansProject. I've gotten used to them.
De-sensitized as it were.

Not really. The Fan groups are by the Collector, for the Collector. These toys are by a toy maker, for kids. Sometimes it amazes me that Hasbro even listens to us at all considering how most collectors treat them.

Ain't that the truth. We are, collectively, a bunch of whiny little brats.

Wow, what needs to be done to please you?
Anyways I think everyone knows my opinion on PCC's already. This line was made for me and I'll collect it like no other.

They could make better figures or not make them at all
I was excited when we first heard about these coming out, and now that I see them, they are hideous!

It's obvious that Hasbro is trying to save money. The drone idea in my opinion is LAME. The combiner modes look like crap. The makers need to take note of these fan groups and what they are doing. I can see Fans Project coming out with some add ons for this new line that will put Hasbro to shame.
maybe fan projects wont have to make an add on set for this combiner if there add on set for energon bruticus can combine with this series teh nthey can save some money & time & only make an add on kit for pcc superion but any other way it may or may not happen fans projects would have to make 4 new bots for these combiners if thats the case combiners have crappy looking limbs but nnot as bad as enrgon combiners i can deal with these combiners with out an add on kit but energon differnt situation.
ill still buy tehm if fp decides to make kit for this seriesi buy it if not i can deal with it

IMO of course, but there are far better and cooler things that FP, ImpToys, etc can do instead of wasting time on the PCC figures.

Pwn'd by a Gobot... that hurts.
I have nothing else to say. It's just 'sigh'.

I just wish the paint job on this set was a little more G1, but that's okay, it'll pass as a Bruticus homage.

Mkall wrote:Oh by Primus. Let's all drop the thought train that if something isn't 100% perfect, then some 3rd party will make it better. Don't like it, don't buy it. If you buy something with the sheer hope that FP will make something for it, then you're sending the wrong message to Hasbro.

I could not agree more.
As for the figures, the price and the endless mix and match possibilities, these suckers are pretty cool.

Aluus wrote:You know it's really not a hard concept to grasp. Hasbro's had no problem getting combiner sets to sell in the good ol days. I mean honestly, who here didn't collect all 6 constructicons individually? Or how about Rail Racer? Now THAT was a combiner. 3 figures, no extra parts you had to add to make hands or feet. Instead we get these crappy little sets with "drones" that turn into barely passable limbs. Energon had the right idea, it was just executed poorly. Honestly, i think even G1 did better. How hard is it to give us a Voyager with 4 deluxes that turn into limbs without having to add any extra parts? I mean we've seen what hasbro is capable of. they're just cheap.

Aluus wrote:Gotta give em credit though. Puzzler was WAY ahead of it's time. I think the main difference between him and a TF gestalt is that his designers started out with the combined mode in mind. the result is that the individual robots, while passable and IMO pretty interesting, suffered a bit as compared to say the constructicons. When it comes to their combination gimmick though, they blow all the old G1 gestalts away, robo penis or no robo penis.

Puzzler still sucked, he broke due to his poor waist design.
