It's not really just a lazy H-tank. It feels more involved and a rotating turret never hurt anyone (except ya'know, the poor guys in its way)

Just picked him up
I don't think any of the rid figures are worth $15; but I had $10 worth of giftcards, so
He is great, has a nice solidity to him, and his pseudo-ratchets in his arms are scary loud, and so are the ones in his shoulder pads. He has a ball-jointed neck! I admit, I didn't watch the articulation part of the video, so it was a nice surprise. But I somehow bought the only one with an unpainted chin, but this makes him look like he has a full helmet on, so
The tank mode is surprisingly large, he's definitely not a 'lazy H-Tank', and, best of all, he has a spinning turret, but he didn't sacrifice anything for it
I definitely recommend getting him
(but I must know what the butt cheek drills are used for in either mode?)

He's pretty great, will canadian tru's get him? I assume since it's exclusive to tru. I would say get the version you like, but be wary that TT will likely release a 'leader version' but this one is great enough to warrant buying both

I was actually at TRU today hoping to find him. Glad you like him as I perceive you to be a fickle connoisseur ( oisseur ) of good TFs. If you like him, he must be good. I want to see him in the flesh because I can't decide if I like him with mask or without. The mask is awesomely evil looking.
I'm excited for all these new Cons coming down the pipe. Especially Thunderhoof. I wanna get two of him so I can do a John Deer custom job. Oh! Maybe that can be my next digi-bash.

Yeah my budget (which is already thin) is spent on cw combiners, so I've gotta be very fickle. He's pretty great with the helmet, I hated his actual face, so the helmet helps, plus, the tru version has more (?) paint apps. And the tank mode is so great, I think they could make both a good G1 megatron and war within The Fallen - assuming they were both heavily re-shelled.

That is really cool. Looks like his transformation will be very heavily involved

I cannot wait for him and fracture to join megatronus

With us finally getting cons, I'm wondering whether or not I should go back and get Steeljaw. Plus I have the main autobots save Bee, Prime and Grimlock. Should I eventually get these guys? I'm not buying another combiner until January and Devy is a christmas gift, so I have time. Are they worth it? I was thinking of getting clash Prime, Warrior Grim and not sure which Warrior Bee. Any recommendations for these guys (feel free to say anything regarding Jazz too)
Posted by Cobotron on October 16th, 2015 @ 9:38pm CDT
The G1y repaint on Grim is pretty cool. wish I had held out, but I like my Greenlock just fine.
All the clash guys were still on sale at my TRU today. Spend $30 get $5 off.

I'd buy that (maybe without the deere logo though) There seems to be a distinct lack of green figures (bright or otherwise) so it would be welcome.

Ok, that right there is cool!
I wasn't originally planning on getting the whole crew but I came to love them all and wasn't sure on toys. But the Clash Prime does look amazing with the black. Greenlock is appealing too. Jazz only showed up once, giving me the impression he is the next Wheeljack. May have to wait on him. But Prime, Bee and Grimlock, we'll see. That Nightstrike Bee looked really cool

Those wheels are pretty nasty and cheap looking though... I still say check into TT armored bee

I forgot to mention Strongarm. I think she is great. So much so I thought she deserved a better paint job, so I gave her one.

I would, but he would need to be a fair price. I'm not too into spending large amounts on deluxes/warriors

Arctic armor, who knew?

If anyone bought the metal version I'd be interested to know if it also lacks upper leg swivels.
Overall though he's pretty cool. I think the Grimlock is perhaps more appealing to more people though as it fixes the scale issues of the Warrior class version and gives us what many wanted which is Hasbro to be making RID Voyagers. (yes I know Takara makes that size toys in the Adventures line).
I'll be keen to see if they do some more in the coming months... Unfortunately the ones you might want to see the most like The Decepticons would likely be the very ones that don't get made... But I have my Fingers crossed for a Warrior Optimus overscale Chinese toy to be made sometime too.
I wonder if Hasbro moving production to Vietnam might make - making this stuff a lot harder for the Chinese Factories than it other wise would be ?
I would have a small concern for things like Thunderhoof though as they don't tend to use bendy plastic and he really needs to have a little flex to his rake to avoid breakage issues happening.

Indeed!
I also would have thought that Clampdown would have been Warrior class instead of Quillfire. Don't get me wrong, Quill's great and I'll still get him, but a bigger Clampdown or Underbite would complete the Steeljaw Pack.
