Same, I believe that all non-priority shipments are being done via truck to save space on the freight planes, so I guess that's one mystery solve. Though, if mine don't leave indy soon, mine'll be delayed until monday
*edit: mine just left indy, will most likely be getting them saturday

No need, as you can read from the title, we have here a Generations Legends Class thread that is perfect for speaking of the legends class without having to divide anydiscussion during the transition

What about the wave 2 2016 combiner wars stuff (sky reign and wreck gar)?
Combiner Wars will run along side Titans Returns at the start. At least, that's what they told us in the second session in the Google Hangout w/ Hasbro. Ryan was in the first, maybe he can confirm that. (I'm at work and don't have my notes in front of me )

Well, it may happen at the stores depending on how quickly stock gets purchased, but I doubt they would send out larger waves comprising two series', that would really clutter the shelves or shortchange figures - neither of which would be good for the consumer

Any overlapping will simply be old stock mingling with new stock, I can't see them releasing cases from both lines at the same time to stores. However I think Hasbro has learned a few things from our complaining when transitioning between lines this time. They typically change directions in the Generations line at the end of the year leading to tail end waves being understocked in favor of the next line as well as the entire franchise being understocked thanks to the post holiday glut when stores reset their aisles and clearance out old stuff. A mid year release would avoid that glut and if they have the timing down they can avoid CW 2016 wave 2 from being understocked in favor of TR wave 1.
But I don't really have a lot of hope for stores right now anyway. At least in my area they're really lagging behind everyone else. I've only just seen Ultra Magnus and Thundercracker in stores and the Protectobots are only just now being stocked even though I've seen the Autobot cars for at least a month now so they probably wont be stocked for long. Hopefully they get their act together next year.

I feel like some of you guys are forgetting that the "Early 2016" labels are brick and mortar street dates. Yes, BBTS, TFSource, etc. have all gotten the W1 2016 figures in, but that's because when they leave Hasbro's hot little hands, they only go to one warehouse. It's gonna take another month or so for the Combaticons to trickle through a Brick and Mortar store's distribution from regional to state to local warehousing and then go to the stores.

Thats not another use of the mold, thats still prime just Takara's version. Since when have we counted that?

So you would also count every japanese release of combiner wars molds for the same characters another use of the mold?

Unless you're only strictly speaking of Hasbro releases.

But arent the G2 characters different characters from the G1 characters even if they have the same names?
I a mainly using the mold use definition from tfwiki. For instance, lets look at animated ratchet:
The sprues for this mold included heads for both Ratchet and Ironhide, a later release in a new deco. It was later retooled to make the BotCon 2011-exclusive Fisitron and Autotrooper toys.
That line doesnt mention Takara Ironhide as another use of the mold even though the deco for that figure (which I can attest to) is similar to the difference between the generations takara optimus toy ou brought up compared to optimus.

Hold the phone. So G2 Optimus Prime (Laser Prime) is the same character from G1 Optimus Prime?
G2 Sideswipe is different from G1 Sideswipe. SO I just figured these were characters from that same G2 universe.

Just my own head canon from all along. I didnt know they were the same guys in the same continuity. Thanks, that clears things up.
I guess all along with the uses of he mold we were discussing earlier, I was just referring to deco references and characters. Pretty much that chart which shows all the CW mold uses which ignores the takara releases for the same characters with similar decos.

Yeah, that's pretty unforgivable. And yet the size class is so good it's hard to resist...
(at least the semi-frequent HTS codes take the bite out of the price hike)

Those hts sales are some of the best! Free shipping (usually) and paying a 'proper' price for what you're getting...
On a topical note, I'm so excited for chopshop, moreso than shockwave in fact; I've got my foc shocks, but I love the legends class figures especially nemesis prime.

We've had Movie Generations , regular Generations, RID, Platinum, and a few other smaller sub lines out at the same time and using the same space. (The other smaller lines I'll leave out for arguments sake)
It wouldn't be the first time we've seen an overlap in lines.

That's something entirely different since none of those lines were intended to replace one another, they were intended to run together. What we're talking about looks more like this: Original Generations lines (2010 to 2011) -> replaced by Fall of Cybertron (2012 to 2013) -> replaced by Thrilling 30 (2013 to 2014) -> replaced by Combiner Wars (2015 to 2016) -> replaced by Titans Return (2016 to ????).

Depending on how you count mold uses, this is either the 4th or 5th use of the Generations Legends Optimus Prime mold. You now have you selection of colors and two heads, if you haven't been buying them all along like I have. Pipes is has the tightest joints thus far, which is a good thing, and I do like the color blue, another plus. In the end it all comes down to whether or not you want another Legends sized truck sitting on your desk.

And not a PG on sight. Viper's been that way for sometime now, like when he was released 6 months ago iirc (TRU)
Maybe a testament to Hbs distribution prowess. Like that scout size Windcharger a few years back and TFA Arcee which none of us could find in the retail scene.

I've seen a few Powerglides and got mine at retail. You couldn't find Rodimus or Skywarp when those waves first hit and now our shelves are chocking on them. Got a few Warpaths and Grooves hanging around and oddly quite a few Blackjacks. I'm guess BJ got bundled in a later wave to round out the case.fenrir72 wrote:carytheone wrote:I'm shocked that Viper is peg warming. I've never seen that figure at retail. Either way, I'm glad I nabbed Shockwave from HTS when I had the chance. He's a really cool figure. I might pick up his wave mates if I spot them, but they're not priority.

Seriously, those guys got scalped so hard, either that, or they aren't being included in the case assortment - would explain why there are so many grooves, warpaths, rodimus', and skywarps rotting on shelves.

Chop Shop is just great. We all new what we were in for of course, but he is good repaint with a great new head sculpt. And who doesn't need another small Decepticon minion?
So I am never all that excited about any of Shockwave's modern alt modes. They always end up being some kind of laser log. This one is no exception. I am glad he is actually a gun though.
All that said, He is an AWESOME little action figure in bot mode. Great articulation. Even his little foot articulation and thigh swivel makes for some great poses. Neat deco, and of course I love me some translucenceness.
When he is not busy being somebody's gun up on the Classics shelf, he will most certainly be down on the Legion/Legend/Cyberverse shelf hangin' with Legends Megs and the Seekers.
The only super gripe I have is the dang serial number/product code being totally visible on the top of gun mode. They couldn't find a more discrete place to print that?
... But man, He is a great little action figure! He might even reek some havoc on some Micromen.

Ya I think Superlink might be my fav so far.
Are you working on a list Billy?
Than I'll give a quick Billy List. But this is just based on what I have in my collection.
1. Superlink Laser Wave - Alt mode is maybe the most interesting laser log to date. Robot mode is great. Big and mean. He could even be a fine stand in for a Classics/Gen Shocky. And I love that big stupid cannon arm.
2. CW Legend Shockwave - Alt mode is so so, great that he can be wielded. Robot mode is aesthetically a really nice update to G1 SW. Great sculpt and nice simple deco that gets the point across, and again really good expressive figure to pose and play with.
3. FoC Shockwave - Alt mode is the worst laser log thus far. Robot mode is good. Neat sculpt, cool head. Good articulation.
4. Prime Cyberverse Shockwave - Worst alt mode of all. What is it? Robot mode is great though. Definitely the most sinister looking character design he's received.

Thanks for the feedback, please bookmark this post of your so you can use it when I make my list.
