Hello
I may be one of the first to post a video review (in French) of Core class Megatron from Kingdom.
Part of the second wave core class, it is perfect for titan and commander class size like SkyLynx and Scorponok
Deluxe and Core class wave 2 has been released here in France.
Enjoy the visuals

I'm scared of getting this one and then a new one comes out with a more show-accurate raptor mode and gray hips instead of the orange. And a non purple rapier lol

Same. It is such an obvious problem that even the original figure didn’t have.
Randomhero wrote:-cough-
While I wasn't talking about the orange itself, to look at the original figure is to see the needless problem the Kingdom figure has. That I was referring to. The alignment of the Bot Mode feet, in place of the Bot Mode hips = no robo boobs. Reversing the orientation of the legs seems like a negative to the overall design.

The current rumor is a Selects redeco of Dinobot as Beast Wars Grimlock.Razorbeast88 wrote:Just saw primevsprime's review of Kingdom Dinobot and do we know if dinobot will get any recolors in the Netflix line or in a spoiler pack or something?

Thank you! I'd heard the rumor about BW Grimlock
Nothing so far about a repainted dinobot though, right?

I thought it was supposed to be in an Amazon-exclusive 2-pack, not Selects, but yeah. Yeah, but the contents of said waves leaked months ago at this point.aronjlove wrote:How many waves are left to be revealed in Kingdom, two?
Exactly those, yeah, the only character redos we've had mentioned so far are Sideswipe and Mirage in Amazon 2-packs with BW repaints, and Red Alert as the Walgreens exclusive.aronjlove wrote:How much space is there for more Earth re-dos? But as for Selects, Netflix, or any other retailer exclusives (Target ??, Amazon??...), There is a lot left to be revealed.

This, however, I did not realize.o.supreme wrote:I'd say most of the "standard" Kingdom releases are known, though we haven't seen official photos of several of them (with ToyFair cancelled, hopefully before month end or early March Pulse will have some reveals)

Also only a portion of the Netflix 3rd wave has been revealed. If ER is anything to go by (both of which had exclusives at Target and Amazon), I'm sure there is more to come.
Lastly, are any clues as to what this years Walgreens exclusive might be? If it was reported I missed it.
Posted by Nemesis Primal on February 15th, 2021 @ 6:18pm CST
I mean, leaks and/or rumors exist for all of those things, we just don't know if the stuff in said leaks is all we're getting for each of those releases and don't know the full contents of a few multi-packs (which is basically all we're missing Netflix-wise).o.supreme wrote:Its an assumption based on an educated guess. The only new Selects toy that has been officially revealed in this Calendar year is Deep Cover. I am almost certain there are more coming.

Walgreens is an Earth Mode Red Alert, between leaks/rumors and someone I believe finding the listing for it.

How is it that a legends/core-scale figure has by far the best head sculpt for Megatron of the entire generations line? If only Earthrise Megs had received this sculpt....

They would have probably been the same line if not for the beasts

I'm sure they would have, which is unfortunate Hasbro was in a rush to do too many things at the same time. A great line to finish the original series and an amazing line to start BW had to be compacted together so both only gets half the toys they could have.

Well the solution is simple...Go back in time and get Beast Wars made either a year earlier or a year later same the 1986 movie Just how the anniversaries fell for the respective parts of the franchise.

If it were only that simple. A year earlier and the final year of G2 wouldn't have happened, removing from exsitence the ball-jointed articulation that Beast Wars took advantage of, while a year later and Transformers would be too dead for Beast Wars to exist.ZeroWolf wrote:o.supreme wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:They would have probably been the same line if not for the beasts

true, and something I've had to remind beast wars haters through the years (and to an extent, live action haters), that the franchise survived (and thrived) because of these choices.

Though it should be mentioned that Mirage is an Earth-style repaint, not a retool like the Sideswipe mold.

No, it's almost all been revealed
Spoiler Pack ER Megatron with purple Paleotrex
Voyager Optimus Primal with Rattrap
Voyager Sparkless Seeker
Deluxe Sparkless Deep Cover
Deluxe Sparkless Barricade
Deluxe Quintesson (black Ironhide)
Deluxe Cheetor
A leaker said there wouldn't be five Deluxes this time around so that's it for that class. I think it was said that the Seeker comes with a repainted Ractonite, but can't remember if that's right. Only thing not revealed is what, if anything, is packed with the Deluxe figures this time and what else is padding out the price of the Spoiler Pack because we're only up to $50 on a $60 set and we don't have a $5 price point anymore (and after Nemesis Prime they have a lot to live up to). That's basically it.

Exactly. Those were rebirth/milestone years.
Beast Wars saved Transformers.
2007 Bay movie brought a whole new generation of fans AND brought back many who gave up on the franchise years and years ago.
But haters will never understand those facts. They WON'T understand. Luckily, they are a tiny minority.

Hasbro hasn't always been the most exact when it comes to anniversaries. In fact I'd say they really dont care more often than not (BW 10th, TF 20th, T30). Many BW fans would agree they got snubbed heavily on the 20th. Doing a full original series line this year to finish the WFC trilogy, and then full on BW in 2022 I dont think would have been that hard to conceptualize.

I mean if we get more BW I'll be thrilled, but for now what I'm seeing with Target and the BB line, also basically all of what Cyberverse was, has me concerned.

In the circles I keep locally I was one of the only ones to never give up on Transformers. Some thought I was crazy but I normally don't give a crap what others think of me especially with something I am super passionate about.
If they really want to up the ante they could work on future lines and include Pretenders/mega pretenders like Thunderwing and the basic pretenders. Monsterbots, sparkabots, triggerbots and cons, there are still a lot of Transformers that have not been modernized.

Yeah, I think they will in some way or another keep that going. they've been bringing characters from other iterations of the franchise into G1 for 10 years now - no reason to stop now. Also, like you I've never been away from Transformers.

When I became a teen in the late 1980's, toys were no longer "cool" and I was only in video games. Then in my early 30's, I heard the TF siren's song in 2007. By 2009, I plunged deep in the TF collecting rabbit hole and I never looked back!
As for modernised Pretenders? ALL OF MY YES!!!

Watched the original show all the way through, even reruns until 1990. Stopped getting the toys in 1988. Stayed with the marvel comic until it's end in 1991.
Picked up Gen 2 Marvel Comics in 93/94. Started recording reruns of the original series on VHS in 1993 on "Sci-Fi cartoon Quest" early in the morning. Purchased select G2 toys
Purchased select BW toys and watched BW all the way through. watched BM (never got any of the toys). Watched CarRobots (yay! internet and torrent files prior to RiD broadcast in the U.S.), and purchased select car Robots and RiD toys.
watched Armada and Energon. Purchased all DW comics, and select Armada/Energon toys. Watched Cybertron, but never purchased any toys.
I sold my entire Toy collection up t that point on eBay in 2007. Started buying random Animated and movie toys for my son (But stopped getting toys for myself from 2005-2015)
Watched Animated, the live action films, and Prime. Rid15, and Cyberverse
Started getting back into toys late in CW in 2016, and have been collecting select toys from all generations lines since.
I collected all IDW comics from 2005-2018 (end of first continuity), then sold them all on eBay in January 2020.
Currently I really enjoy the Netflix series, and the WFC toys, though each year I seem to get less and less toys. The designs are great, but my collection mainly focuses on Combiners, Titans, and a few other select favorites, and anything that integrates interconnectivity between different toys.
I collected No Prime toys (despite enjoying the series very much). No Rid15 toys (my interest in the show was minimal and my son had some toys), and no toys of Cyberverse as I neither had any interest in the show or the toys. I have also had zero interest in the IDW comics for some time.
I'd say I was never 100% out. But of the 3 facets (Toys, Animation, and Print Media). I am usually only into 2 at any given time, occasionally down to 1. It would be nice if a time came when all 3 were great at the same time...But I guess only time will tell.

I've said this before and was shouted down but I feel Pulse and Amazon have to hold back so Hasbro's brick and mortar retail partners get a fair shot at selling the product first.

Last week my Amazon BW Megatron got pushed back to May 15th and Grimlock got pushed to June 5th, then a day later I got a cancelation notice for Grimlock. So good luck on those. Guess I'll cross my fingers that they eventually show up in my corner of Western PA.

Good, he addressed the broken pegs on Grapple and confirmed that they did fix them on Inferno. The pegs are now shorter, almost half the size, and no longer hollow and better mounted. Not sure why the people who got him earlier said the pegs hadn't been fixed, I didn't think that sounded right looking at their pictures.
