The second articles reveals that Shockwave has made their list of top 12 most wanted summer movie villains! In fact he's #3 just behind the Red Skull and Lord Voldemort. Again click here for spoiler-ish detail as it's mentioned here as well.
"He's always been a mean, mean guy, but he's even more menacing and more dangerous," says producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. "He's bigger, badder, with a greater arsenal."

BluePhirePB wrote:Haha morphs into snake bot? Not according to Rising Storm and Foundation!
You two are absolutely correct. It would be hella weird if Shockwave transforms into something that big and it has been revealed that the snake-like bot is his pet not his alt mode.Though there's a spoiler that said that he can ride the snake in his "cockpit".

Lastjustice wrote:I wouldn't be shocked if Shockwave could morph simliar how he could in Transformers animated. I'm guessing that huge beast that knocks over the skyscraper in the trailer isn't shockwave though. (I've been referring to as the dweller till an offical name surfaces as it reminds me of the dweller of the deep from G1.)
It's just simply known as a "Driller" in the novelization.

Heh I guess I was pretty close then.

You stole my thought First-Aid. That's a possibility.

Well, for your information, I read the spoiler about Shockwave piloting the driller, and I'm very disappointed that I did. That's lame to me, on the same lame level as having the little bug spy bots in ROTF. Can't entirely explain why, but I found that part lame, and I think I was happier under the idea that the driller was a sentient robot itself, not robo battle cat. Plus, I don;t think I've ever used the spoiler tag before.

he said he didn't want to be in...how did he say it? Well, he didn't want to be in the movie in short...
Anyways, this is something I won't believe unless it's in the actual film, it's better if it's his pet and I think that's what everything so far has said.
@Dagon:Hm, yeah I guess it would've been cooler if Driller was sentient, though that'd make taking him down all the more difficult. Also, never used a spoiler before...DUN DUN DUNNN.

They have James Avery credited with the part of Silverbolt but in the Novelization, Silverbolt was never once mentioned. They have Mark Ryan listed for TF3 but no character given. He voiced 'Bee in the first movie, Jetfire in RotF and 'Bee is supposed to have a vocal part (not involving his radio) in the new movie and Ryan is also credited with voicing Wheeljack in the DotM video game, so I'm guessing he's all Autobot this time around and it's probably Avery doing Shockwaves part. He strikes me as being able to pull of a deep, menacing tone and I'm not expecting a voice anything like the G1 incarnation.
...and yeah, Burton isn't even listed as picking up Bay's dry-cleaning let alone doing a voice part so you can stop praying. Sorry.

I find it very interesting that Shockwave's voice actor isn't even listed on the IMDB site. In fact, Shockwave isn't listed AT ALL on the DotM page. Very interesting...talk about under wraps...

I wonder if maybe Shockwave will be silent, like just a silent, menacing type....

I just think it's pretty lame that robots who turn into things need what amounts to vehicles.
i'm sure it would be rather difficult to write and characterize a large metal worm, but I just don't like this idea very much. We'll see though.

Well, it sounds more like a pet than a vehicle...besides, if it can do something that you can't then might as well take advantage of it. That's why humans rode horses even though we are perfectly capable of walking, jogging, or running. They are just faster.
