This is just the "USA Edition" Starscream that was released a couple years back in Japan. Wings also are a little sharper in certain areas. Nothing new here, though, just a restock. Good find for those who missed out the first time, though.

Good news for those who may have missed the first release. I'm glad I got mine the first time around for $50.

I like this version better than the Walmart Exclusive version. Although it's 99% the same, all the tips are actually sharp, thus making it unsafe for American children.

Yeah, it's not radically different or anything, just an odd find on their site today. Plus, like you pointed out, good for folks who missed it the last time around.
I wish we could get a slightly modified release of Thundercracker, one where they actually flipped his chest thrusters the right way.

considering what other MP's are going for, that really isn't such a terrible price.

I was never able to find this figure. And with this price point it still wont be part of my collection. I really hate store exclusives. Especially when theyre for a store that sucks.

So, let's get this straight: a Japanese figure (MP-03) that was redecoed into a US version (Walmart MP Starscream), then slightly modified and sold in Japan as a US Edition (US Edition MP Starscream) is being brought back into the US as an Import Version.
Particularly note that Japan considers it a US Edition (having the US deco but physically modified slightly) while the same figure is an Import Version (with the Japanese mods) in the US.
Great-grampa MP-03 Starscream is sitting in his porch swing lamenting them young whippersnappers....

I love this toy however, I got the wal-mart version and aint sweatin a few minor changes. But now let me send a message to Hasbro....bring Masterpiece Skywarp and Thundercracker to wal-mart shelves. Stop worrying abou a few hurt feelings overseas, and start thinking about the money you will make...If Hasbro truly represents America, than let it be your Patriotic duty to bring all exclusives and repaints to USA toy stores.

This is the version I already have and have done since it was released way back. I didnt realise that there was another version out there, the version that the US seemed to get. I suppose this varient is a perfect match for the Masterpiece seekers. I use this one to display and put my Takara version of Starscream (the blueish one) back in his box.
