And Ironhidensh, no. Just...NO. He's a much better actor than rapper. And that's not saying much.

To be fair, the end of AoE made it sound as if the next movie would be Optimus Prime in space looking for the Quintessons (or whatever Bay might retcon it to), but then why would he keep a semi truck alt mode?

Well, there is a precedent for semi truck alt modes in space...

Yes, there is. But, Transformers fans or not, I think we can all agree that a semi truck driving through space is absolutely ridiculous.
Which, now that I think about it, is probably why Bay has done it. With a flame deco, no less . . .

The thing about his boots though, from what happened when prime got the sword, it looks like they were a new upgrade rather than something he already had.
As for trucks in space, I'd rather have a winnebago in space

I've always preferred lint speed myself. Spoooooooooooooon!
So at some point he was a knight, presumably with access to the sword, got that upgrade, said "nah, I'd rather not be able to fly," lost it, and then forgot how to get it back.
Hoo boy.

As much as I agree with the criticism of Bay's predilection for military narratives or involvement, I agree more with ZeroWolf's point here. It's also being used/explored in the current IDW comics, and so far it's working fairly well (and much better than DotM/AoE, for example).

So long as the military doesn't take over the movie like it did in the first three I'm happy to have Lennox back, especially if his team is back with him. Though I'd rather see Lennox act as an ambassador between the government and the Autobots, with little to no military intervention in the battles themselves. I can't see the Autobots willing to work with the military again after they were hunted down after Chicago. That makes Lennox one of the few people who could be sent to try and formalize relations once more. Thematically it works.

If JJ Abrams can throw out logic in the two major sci-fi franchises of all time, one of which was known for its logic, so can Bay (not hat he ever applied logic in the first place)!

Next weekend, Audiovisuals ICAIC (Cuban Film Institute) will offer a new cinematographic service to foreign film production, in this case, for the U.S. film Transformers 5, directed by Michael Bay for Paramount Pictures.
According to Granma newspaper, the shooting will take place in Havana by a small film crew and will not require road closures, so it should not cause disruption to normal city life.
The scenes filmed in the Cuban capital, specifically in the area of the seafront and Old Havana will be part of a montage of shots in big cities of the world, to which, in post-production, robots will be digitally added to show how they have integrated into life on Earth.
Services to foreign production are part of the regular work of the Institute and aim to contribute to the income of foreign currency for the national film industry and to increase employment opportunities for Cuban technicians and artists.

To be fair AoE was mostly in america so maybe everywhere else has taken to them better also there is the small time gap to consider or these shots maybe part of the films finale

Why is Cemetery Wind no longer a thing? I don't remember that being mentioned.
AoE didn't do any kind of job explaining why the US government was working with the Autobots in DotM and then suddenly against them in AoE. The very fact that the military was working with the Autobots should have made it clear that the Autobots saved the planet.
I should really stop trying to apply any sort of logic to AoE.
Anyway, I'm hoping that Nightbeat shows up to help Optimus sort out this whole creator thing.

I've noticed, but there really isn't a way to fix it thus far. Even the swear filter doesn't work from the front page.

D-Maximus_Primal wrote:In AoE, it was made clear that the US government did not know Cemetery Wind was hunting down and killing Autobots in addition to the cons. That was explicit. Only Cemetery wind knew of the Autobots being killed. And then, their unit was wiped out and the head of field operations as well as the government head were killed, and there were witnesses to their corruption that could testify, and fact that the autobots proved to be heroes would allow further proof of how they had been treated. Thus, Cemetery wind could fairly be said to have been eliminated, or at least disbanded following the reveal of what it had been doing
I was about to do a post on this when I noticed yours so I thought it easier to quote
There is illogical circumstances in AoE but Cemetery Wind isn't one of them.

That's a shame. Would've loved to see a Blades kid instead; that's something that would be both cool and would fit in the bayverse.
It's always sweet to see videos like this. Cast members getting along with each other and enjoying each other's company and stuff.

Well, remember how many things were spoiled from the first three films by their respective tie-in materials? For AOE, it was a completely unspoiled experience prior to its theatrical release.Kurona wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Meh, it's not like the game makers of RotDS really had much of a choice in how they made the game considering that Bay wouldn't let any licensees look at the AOE movie's script before the film's release so as to prevent any movie tie-ins from spoiling its plot ahead of time, which resulted in no AOE novel, no AOE comics from IDW, and an AOE game that had jack squat to do with the AOE movie.
Seriously...? I mean, of all things to protect, the script? The story is hardly what people care about; even most fans know it's mostly excuse plots for explosions and giant robots punching each other.
