Hot on the heals of the revelation that Josh Duhamel will be returning to Transformers: The Last Knight, we get a teaser via Micheal Bay's Instagram account that his partner in crime, Tyrese Gibson AKA Epps shall be joining him on the big screen again! Now this is just a rumor shown off via social networking, but it is likely that if Lennox is to return to the movie-verse, so too shall his partner in crime. What are the "Nights of Cybertron" and the "Nights of Unicron?" Don't they do anything during the day?

And Ironhidensh, no. Just...NO. He's a much better actor than rapper. And that's not saying much.

Besides, Epps would totally be the lead singer of the group over Cade anyway. ;)

Yes, there is. But, Transformers fans or not, I think we can all agree that a semi truck driving through space is absolutely ridiculous.

Which, now that I think about it, is probably why Bay has done it. With a flame deco, no less . . . :michaelbay:

The thing about his boots though, from what happened when prime got the sword, it looks like they were a new upgrade rather than something he already had.

As for trucks in space, I'd rather have a winnebago in space ;-)

I've always preferred lint speed myself. Spoooooooooooooon!

So at some point he was a knight, presumably with access to the sword, got that upgrade, said "nah, I'd rather not be able to fly," lost it, and then forgot how to get it back.

As much as I agree with the criticism of Bay's predilection for military narratives or involvement, I agree more with ZeroWolf's point here. It's also being used/explored in the current IDW comics, and so far it's working fairly well (and much better than DotM/AoE, for example).

So long as the military doesn't take over the movie like it did in the first three I'm happy to have Lennox back, especially if his team is back with him. Though I'd rather see Lennox act as an ambassador between the government and the Autobots, with little to no military intervention in the battles themselves. I can't see the Autobots willing to work with the military again after they were hunted down after Chicago. That makes Lennox one of the few people who could be sent to try and formalize relations once more. Thematically it works.

Logically, the military will be involved as the fights are taking place on earth, they aren't going to stand around while the bots fight each other.

According to the English version of Cuban news site Radio Rebelde, there is confirmation that some scenes for Paramount's Transformers: The Last Knight will be shot in Havana, Cuba. This also ties in to the message by Michael Bay on Instagram about the first filming location, and contains a potential spoiler below - for those of you who want to know as little as possible about the movie - so be warned!

Instagram

Next weekend, Audiovisuals ICAIC (Cuban Film Institute) will offer a new cinematographic service to foreign film production, in this case, for the U.S. film Transformers 5, directed by Michael Bay for Paramount Pictures.

According to Granma newspaper, the shooting will take place in Havana by a small film crew and will not require road closures, so it should not cause disruption to normal city life.

The scenes filmed in the Cuban capital, specifically in the area of the seafront and Old Havana will be part of a montage of shots in big cities of the world, to which, in post-production, robots will be digitally added to show how they have integrated into life on Earth.

Services to foreign production are part of the regular work of the Institute and aim to contribute to the income of foreign currency for the national film industry and to increase employment opportunities for Cuban technicians and artists.

With Cemetery Wind no longer a thing, the Autobots no longer need to be on the run since those who were hunting and killing them are gone.

Why is Cemetery Wind no longer a thing? I don't remember that being mentioned.

AoE didn't do any kind of job explaining why the US government was working with the Autobots in DotM and then suddenly against them in AoE. The very fact that the military was working with the Autobots should have made it clear that the Autobots saved the planet.

I should really stop trying to apply any sort of logic to AoE.

Anyway, I'm hoping that Nightbeat shows up to help Optimus sort out this whole creator thing.

In AoE, it was made clear that the US government did not know Cemetery Wind was hunting down and killing Autobots in addition to the cons. That was explicit. Only Cemetery wind knew of the Autobots being killed. And then, their unit was wiped out and the head of field operations as well as the government head were killed, and there were witnesses to their corruption that could testify, and fact that the autobots proved to be heroes would allow further proof of how they had been treated. Thus, Cemetery wind could fairly be said to have been eliminated, or at least disbanded following the reveal of what it had been doing :MAXIMAL:

Some Transformers: The Last Knight tidbits for the weekend, courtesy of the Twitterverse. Isabela Moner is training for her 'streetwise kid' role, and is clearly showing more excitement than the deadpan video announcement we reported on previously - as you can see below. And in additional casting, actor Allen Pheonix, currently working on a bio for Tupac and part of the cast of The Birth of a Nation, has confirmed his involvement in the fifth Paramount movie too!

Allen Phoenix - IMDb http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3979406/?ref_=nmbio_ql @IMDb is showing @AllenPhoenix added as newest cast member of #Transformers5 , here's his bio!

That's a shame. Would've loved to see a Blades kid instead; that's something that would be both cool and would fit in the bayverse.

It's always sweet to see videos like this. Cast members getting along with each other and enjoying each other's company and stuff.

Seriously...? I mean, of all things to protect, the script? The story is hardly what people care about; even most fans know it's mostly excuse plots for explosions and giant robots punching each other.
Well, remember how many things were spoiled from the first three films by their respective tie-in materials? For AOE, it was a completely unspoiled experience prior to its theatrical release.

Depends on who's answering the question I guess. Bay (and the rest of those involved) have their right to say they don't want anything revealed (though in my opinion, there wasn't anything earth shattering revealed, but again, different strokes for different folks) and wanting moviegoers to experience everything first. It's also sidestepping the problem that we still got a bad game, one that may of well still been bad if solely based on AoE.

The Last Knight begins filming in Cuba.

ComingSoon wrote:Production has begun on the upcoming Transformers: The Last Knight and they’ve set up shop in an unlikely place: Cuba! Director Michael Bay made the announcement on his Instagram page, noting they were only the second American production to be filming in Cuba (following the upcoming Fast 8 ).

The Transformers: The Last Knight cast includes the return of Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager as well as newcomer Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School, Growing Up Fisher) as the film’s female lead, Izabella. Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show, Neighbors) is also set to play an unspecified leading role. Josh Duhamel will also reprise his role of Lieutenant Colonel Lennox from the first three films.

Production on Transformers: The Last Knight is set to come stateside on June 6 in Detroit, where Transformers: Age of Extinction was also shot.

Michael Bay returns to the director’s chair for the film, which is set to be written by Iron Man scribes Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto will produce the sequel.

Combined, the previous four Transformers films have brought in over $3.7 billion at the global box office with 2014’s Age of Extinction the second-highest grossing in the series. Current plans call for Transformers: The Last Knight to be released on June 23, 2017. It will be followed by a Bumblebee spin-off film in 2018 before Transformers 6 arrives in 2019.

Find out more here, and below, where we've included Michael Bay's shot of a lime green car - a new Transformer, or just something lying around the location?

Combined, the previous four Transformers films have brought in over $3.7 billion at the global box office with 2014’s Age of Extinction the second-highest grossing in the series. Current plans call for Transformers: The Last Knight to be released on June 23, 2017. It will be followed by a Bumblebee spin-off film in 2018 before Transformers 6 arrives in 2019.
