Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It's time for a new episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast/Podcast, featuring Counterpunch, Jon3.0, Tigertracks, Seibertron and Razorclaw.

We have another week thick with news, but first we do a bit of housekeeping, and discuss the emails that Razorclaw received at ihaterazorclaw@seibertron.com regarding the last episode's discussion of TFC Toys' Hercules and Maketoy's Giant figures. We answer some listener emails from joevill, rpetras, and Ariel Brenman. Will Razorclaw be swayed? Listen to find out!

In terms of news, we get angry at Counterpunch for finding the brand new Transformers Prime Arcee, Bumblebee, and Starscream deluxe class toys at his local Toys R Us.

Image

We then discuss the upcoming and highly anticipated Encore Constructicons / Devastar (Devastator), as well as a few flaws that have been reported.

Image

We then turn our attention to the latest version of the Dark of the Moon Leader Class Optimus Prime toy which Takara Tomy released a couple of weeks ago: Striker Optimus!

Image

After that, we turn our discussion to the first ever official China exclusive: "Year of the Dragon" Ultimate Optimus Prime.

Image

Speaking of products coming out of China, we also share our three cents about the latest news in the unofficial 3rd Party world: Minibots, Battle Tanker, and TFC Toys Heavylabor customer service.

Image

Image

Image

After a month hiatus from galleries, Ryan launches some all-new Seibertron.com galleries. We discuss these galleries for MP-10 Convoy (Optimus Prime) and Toys'R'Us Exclusive Rodimus Prime with Offshoot.

Image

Image

Finally, we discuss our featured topic for this podcast - "Holy Grails", hot on the heels of Seibertron's recent purchases of Grand Maximus and Black Zarak. Ryan's purchase of Grand Maximus ends a 15 year hunt that began back in 1996.

The Podcast staff follows suit discussing each of their currently owned and desired Holy Grails.

Good episode. LOVED the Grail discussion. Favorite moment: Ryan said he is looking for a figure I have! Holy Schnikeys! Good work guys.

I agree. I would definitely buy 3 3/4 human figures. Not only movie, but G1 figures as well. A Marissa Faireborn would be awesome!

It does look better in those colors with a different head, but the Einstein head is too much...too awful.

Que/Wheeljack didn't always have that head. ;)

You got it, Jon. Grand Maximus is the younger brother of Fortress Maximus.

In addition to hacking DVD players, one could watch the UK/Australian DVDs on a computer. ;)

Hey Ryan, will your BlackZarak gallery include images of his Dakatsu Mode?

Oh, I hope the recording of the next podcast is at a time convenient for me to call in. It's gonna be tricky working this in around work and school.

But come on, Wheeljack/Que comes with a handheld power-drill. That's awesome :P

I actually sold my 20th Anniversary Optimus. He was unstable, and way to tall compared to my Grimlock and Skywarp. He was worth some money, and I wanted it.

Always look forward to the podcast guys.

My holly grail: BW MISB Grimlock, or BWII Gigastorm

Which figure do you have that is on my list?

Glad you guys liked the Grail discussion. I think it's a topic that should be revisited from time-to-time as this group obtains some of the special sought-after items that we wish to obtain. If Bob or Mike ever gets Shining Unicron or if Matt obtains his Lucky Draw Fire Convoy or if Jon lands a MIB Scorponok ... we ought to use that moment to cover this conversation again.

This was a turning point in my collection. It feels weird after all of these years to not be on the hunt for this item. It was just the right time, the right moment, the right price, and the right place. It just all fell together and I love that I did it by selling extra TFs that I've obtained along the way. That made it even more special ... and the only way I could rationalize all of this craziness to my wife. I'm a very lucky man that she is so understanding of this hobby.

If Wheeljack had a more Wheeljack head a more Wheeljack color scheme, I wouldn't be so opposed to it. He was just a mess in the movie. Thank goodness Soundwave solved that problem for all of us.

I agree. Hopefully one day they'll realize that we'd all love to have this. Heck, it'd be really awesome if the BotCon folks could figure out a couple of human homages with the GIJoe toys.

One day maybe we'll get this!

Of course Black Zarak will get that special mode featured in the gallery!

We generally record on Thursday nights between 9pm and 11pm Eastern. I think the next recording is on the 8th, unless the guys want to move it up one week to recoup the week or two that we lost last month. I think it should be the 8th unless they want to override me.

Grimlock's best left in package. I wouldn't mind getting one sealed so that I never have to see the gold plastic crumble ever again.

As for BW2 Gigastorm, I can't wait to do his gallery in the next year. He's on my "sooner-than-later" list along with Metroplex, Metrotitan, and Trypticon.

That's definitely why I want Grimlock MISB.

Look forward to seeing the Gigastorm gallery.

Also, there are 19 TF toys that suffer GPS according to tfwiki, the most recent offender being Chewbacca from the Millennium Falcon set. Makes me worry a little bit about some of the toys I have with brown/gold plastics.....

M(super cherry)IB Dai Atlas. I got him on Ebay about 5 years ago, had NO idea who he was or what Zone was. Paid like $60. I was actually convinced it was another toy line, that had borrowed the autobot symbol  I have since been educated.

Agreed. ANYONE who owns just one Transformers toy, has atleast one more than they KNOW they want. Whether it's worth the money or not (to them). Everyone has a Grail. The joy of getting one or the heartache of knowing that during the course of you collecting, you could have purchased your Grail with the money you have spent  ! It was fun to listen to. I'd love to hear more Grail acquisition stories! Congrats btw, EPIC figures, both of them.

Loud and clear buddy. My Grail story is similar: Overlord, MIB. Bought him when my first custom Transformer auction closed. Never thought in a million years something I made would have been in such high demand. Overpaid for my Overlord, but the wife put it into perspective for me, explaining that for once, the hobby is self sustaining. I am very lucky aswell.

All round great podcast. I love the show, keep it up. And get cracking on those galleries!

I'll keep that in mind, as I usually work evening shifts. It's too late for me to request that night off (as we need to give more advanced notices for days off), but I'll pray that my schedule doesn't have me working that night. I'll keep you posted.

Great Episode, and Congrats to Ryan on the Grand Max and Black African American Zarak.

Ryan, if Scorponok's plastic colour layout is any indication, the chromed leg parts will be on a base of red plastic, but that chest plate is gold plastic with chrome on top, so be careful (For reference, if you notice, all the gray parts on Scorpy are gold on BZ, while all the orange parts are red, since scorpy's chest is gray and under the chrome the leg parts are orange, it stands to reason)

Great discussion on the grails, love hearing the stories, and glad to see at least one person shares a grail with me (Black Fire Convoy, Hellz yeah!) Granted that I'm far too poor to ever get one (indeed too poor to get retail deluxes sometimes these days) but it will always be one I chase after... the pics of the combined mode with Black God Magnus made me.. well that's best left unsaid on these boards...

Also, depending on my schedule, I'd love to assist in a call-in show if y'guys would have me.

How does Gold Plastic feel in your hands? Its feel fragile or it seems just like regular plastic?

I wanted to comment on this sooner but it has been a busy four day weekend for me.

I listened to this episode Thanksgiving day as I drove to and from my parents house. I also listened to remaining amount on my computer. I have I have to say this podcast is my favorite one. Good job guys! It was a lot of fun to listen to.

There were parts where I was laughing so hard, points I could relate with, and I also learned some things too. There was only 10 green Unicrons made and two of their minicons were sold? WTF!

I always fantasized about owning Fortress Maximus, Brave Maximus, and Grand Maximus for a long time. I got Fort for my birthday early 2007. That same year I bought Brave. A few months later I almost bought Grand Maximus I decided not to at the last minute. Maybe one day but I didn't want to buy it with credit and risk not being able to make the payments.

Brilliant episode. It's always cool getting a little insight into the main brains of the site. The holy grail talk also made me realise I know next to nothing about Transformers.

At the start of the podcast, mention was made of an acquisition by Matt (am I right in thinking Matt is also known as Tigertracks?) that he said he would leave until 'bragging rights'. Since this section was omitted we never found out what it was. Based on the opening conversation of the last episode, are congratulations in order?

He totally made a baby.

We were totally tired and skipped over that discussion at the end of the night.

It's entirely my fault.

Please prepare presents and college donations for the new addition to Matt's family. :D

Download Skype and set up an account.

You will need a computer mic and speakers or a headset.

Otherwise, it's just an internet phone call.

This is the stuff I tried:

http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/Produc ... ?SKU=17312

I haven't tried it on Black Zarak yet. The Fast Track repaint is pointless. Don't even try it on that figure. It's either loose or extremely tight. I've seen both.
