Honestly, we can say that for EVERY toys and collectible ever. But eh, we geeks listen to our hearts, not our brain.
Also, based to the pictures, I confirm that Ken and Ryu are absolutely HORRID, while Bison and Chun-Li are GENIUS. Too bad that I can't really find a buyer partner who think the opposite of me and just want KEN and Ryu.

A bold experiment...that had to happen someday.
C'mon, even if you hate it, some mistakes just have to be made for the brand to evolve, right?
Definitely picking these up...eventually.

The plan would be to buy both sets. I'd keep Bison and Chun-Li, the other would keep Ken and Ryu. That's one deluxe and one voyager each. So the bill would be split in half, however, not counting the shipping. If customs hit, that would be split however. I'd pay the whole shipping and get both sets. Then open the boxes, separate the figures, repack a set, then the other would pay his shipping to get his share.
A bit convoluted, but it may work. Such a team buy/trade should only be done between people that have total trust in each others, of course.

Of course, but I was just asking I can't really aford it right now.

That one was completely random. "Gouken" didn't sound Asian enough?
Maybe "Gouken" would have sounded too much like a particular racial slur when pronounced by Americans?

That would be quite the stretch.
Heck, I didn't even knew "beaner" was a thing.

No, there's a number of TF figures alone that I can easily pass on because I simply have no place for them in my collection, regardless of how nice they look.

The key word here is "NEED".
Food, rent, clothing, healthcare, are all needs. We wouldn't die from lack of toys or collectible....

There probably are people out there that addicted to collecting (not necessarily Transformers) that probably do suffer some negative health effect if they don't appease their collecting desire.
I admit, there are times when I may have an absolute shit of a day and I feel the only thing that might make it better is plastic crack.
Then I remember how shit my local K-Mart is so I come home, look at the TF hauls thread and quietly make a list of who to ban.

HA! The one that shall not be named....
Seriously, too many times I've bought things on impulse "just because". Then later, I'm filled with remorse and "whys". Got rid of so many of these purchases when I went full "gamestop" to my local geek store last year with my multiple epic G1 hauls. That's why I just won't buy these Street Fighter figures. Even though Bison and Chun-Li are FANTASTIC, I just cannot justify to be stuck with one or two figures that I don't like but still paid 2 to 3 times a normal deluxe/voyager retail price.
But a set that would have Bison and Chun-Li exclusively? Even though my mind would say "YOU ALREADY HAVE THESE MOLDS, DUMMASS!!!", My heart would be all "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"
Seriously.

I got major love for Street Fighter, and these ended up better than I thought they would. I got a good paycheck coming up. I might go for it

They have been pretty piss poor lately. But as I wrote elsewhere, I think its a shared phenomenon of seasonal toys being given more attention.

It's also because the Voyager set is "Most Iconic Hero vs. Most Iconic Villain" for both series.-Kanrabat- wrote:Arcee rock that Chun-Li cosplay" Why, oh why is she packed in with the lame-ass Ken and not Bison? Sure, deluxes two-pack and voyagers two-packs, but it would have been better two sets with one of each.

Wolfman Jake wrote:Now that Takara Tomy and Capcom have teamed up once, perhaps they will again? It's not just Street Fighter celebrating over 30 years right now, but Mega Man as well! Let's see a nice "Transformers X Rockman" limited series, Takara! Besides the requisite hero Mega Man, several existing Robot Masters from the series are already "Transformers" of a sort and are just begging for their own converting figures, like Turbo Man (dragster), Tengu Man (goblin plane), Ground Man (drill tank), Galaxy Man (UFO), and Nitro Man (motorcycle). A few others, while they don't actual transform in game, already look like they have "alt mode kibble" and could easily be designed to convert into their themed vehicles or objects, like Heat Man (Zippo lighter), Dive Man (submarine), Gyro Man (helicopter), Charge Man (steam engine locomotive), and Commando Man (tank). Capcom and Takara, please make this happen!
While we're at it, why not add Ghouls and Ghost / Ghost and Goblins as well? They could go crazy and use Movie and Beast Wars molds this time around. There's lots of knights to chose from in Aoe/TLK for Arthur and there's monsters aplenty in BW.

Black Hat wrote:Mega Man X Transformers would rock (no pun intended). Not sure what molds they'd use though.
Animated would be most apropriate. Everybody have round and cartoony shapes and the bots in Megaman are round and cartoony. Animated need some reissue love even as random repaints. Especially Blackout.

Nope. I'm trying to not spend money (going really well lol) and this was a Mandarake Special. I saw something cheap I needed, and to make the shipping worthwhile I usually try to find another thing to pair it up with. This order, it ended up being this Ken/Li set. I'll get the Ryu/Bison set eventually, but I'm in no rush.-Kanrabat- wrote:I do hope you got Ryu VS Vega as well? Because for simple repaints, it's pretty damn creative! After the video reviews I still think Bison and Chun-Li are the best, but Ryu and Ken are not too bad in the end.

The Street Fighter Transformers line features four of the most popular characters from both franchises - Convoy [Ryu], Megatron [Vega], Hot Rodimus [Ken] and Arcee [Chun-Li] - who transform into robots from vehicle forms. Ryu, who is a triplechanger, transforms from an airplane to a truck. Hot Rodimus [Ken] transforms into a red sports car, while Arcee (Chun-Li) transforms into a convertible sports car that has Chun-Li's color scheme. Vega transforms from a tank to an aerodynamic fighter jet.
Each figure has a unique transformation sequence, which adds to the excitement of collecting them. And the attention to detail is impressive, with the figures capturing the essence of both franchises. The Street Fighter characters have been given a robotic twist, with their "costumes" and color schemes now incorporating elements of the Transformers universe.
The Takara Tomy Street Fighter Transformers line was a hit with fans, and in 2022, Hasbro re-released the figures with no apparent changes as part of their Transformers Collaborative line to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter brand. This means that even more fans can now get their hands on these amazing action figures.
Seibertron.com's comprehensive galleries provide a close look at these figures, showcasing their incredible attention to detail and unique transformations. Whether you're a fan of Street Fighter or Transformers, or just love collecting unique action figures, these toys are a great addition to any collection.
The Takara Tomy Street Fighter X Transformers toys are a fantastic fusion of two iconic franchises. With their unique transformations and attention to detail, these figures are a must-have for any collector. If you're looking to add an exciting and unique new element to your collection, be sure to check them out!
