what is this exactly?

Forget the date thing, man. About all I can say is "....dude..." in a really awed voice.

So that's where the flag on that desktop screenshot came from, eh? I wonder why this one got a poster made of it... is it a special project, or one of the IDW guys' writings? Hmm.

will something happen on that day???? we don't know.

I have absolutely no idea what this is about, but I'm fairly certain that I can make out two Aerialbot silhouettes. Wonder what's this is all about...?

the only things i can think of is: 1. a trade paperback reprinting all the mosaics to date (yeah!) 2. IDW making a new comic featuring mosaic storylines. 3. preview to a major storyline in the IDW universe. 4. Mosaics gets their own website, similar to http://www.lilformers.com where new stories are released every monday or every other day. as the Saturday Night Live commercial states: "Oops!! I've Crapped My Pants!!!"

Iwo Jima great american war victory day. Sybolizes a great feat acomplished. They're in the exact poses of the real american soliders that did this. Possibly meaning when they realese The Transtech figures? Or could be when they decide to realese new clasics waves. Or even a new comic series. but anyway it sybolizes some new product

I think alot of people may have missed this...

At first I thought this was a Mosaic because it had the logo in the news. I hate it when stuff is misleading. I hate it even more when something is going to happen & I go mad trying to figure out what.

Upon further reflection, I agree with Relic Dinobot that the silhouettes look like at least two of the Aerialbots. (In which case, it'd certainly make *me* more intrigued...) And whose green hand is in the rubble there?

Uh, I don't get it.

Whatever the project, I'm betting that it kicks a**. As for the flag holders, I'm guessing one AerialBot (Silverbolt, obviously) and the other 2 being Powerglide and Brawn. The nosecones of the other Aerialbots sat further back whereas the one pictured is closer to being head-region, hence Powerglide, while Brawns back is fairly unmistakeable (and Outback didn't get enough recognition to warrant an awsome poster like this). These are just my guesses.
Whoever the other 2 for certain are, the poster rocks, my curiosity is high and the advertising hook did it's job perfectly. Now I'm stuck waiting and it's going to drive me crazy...er.

As an American I think Day/Month/Year is stupid.

When we say a date we say May 12th, 2007 not 12th of May, 2007.

I think MYoung23 was referring to Americans (or American English) specifically because in England we certainly say "12th of May". Unless it isn't the twelfth of May, of course. No use in saying it's the twelfth of May if it's the first of June.

The only argument I can see against the American date format is that the British version follows a logical level-structure (i.e. it goes from specific level to broad level, day then month then year) whereas the American version goes from semi-specific / semi-broad to specific then broad, which seems an odd pattern. Not that it matters.

Yeah, interesting flag. In fact, I find it interesting that Cybertronians would even use flags.

Does this have anythign to do with IDW finally gettting the rights to the Dreamwave G1 stories? 'Cos the Aerialbots done got blown up by a nuke in that.

And its not the American's fault they cant get anything right, they are spawned from the leftovers of Europe.

Thats a matter of perspective. Being from the states I'd say the same thing about the D/M/Y format. I do a double take seeing that format just like you do on the M/D/Y.

It always makes me do a double take when I see a date in that silly British D/M/Y format instead of the far more understandable American M/D/Y format.

You would not believe the debate that went into the date format! I'm from the UK and when I finished colouring (and then silhouetting the characters...) I put 31/12/07 on it. After some debate we changed it to the US style date. When I post it on my own deviant art page on http://wordmongerer.deviantart.com/ I'll put the alternative version just to keep everyone happy!

As for who the silhouettes are, keep guessin' you'll find out soon enough!

I have to disagree about Powerglide, as his head was IN the nosecone, flush with the front, while the Aerialbots had the cone then the whole head in front. I think that the bot in question is Slingshot, as he had the short, snubnosed plane front, and that nosecone isn't far above his head.

And there may be 4 bots there, not 3.


Personally, I think this is more about the stories surrounding the losses/casulaties of the war, where Mosaics are stories about other possible things going on.

This is interesting, why don't I know anything about it?
