You and me both. I'm also waiting on the G1 reissue to go down, again.

It's not gonna happen, guys. These had to be pre-ordered months and months in advance, so they're made-to-order, thus avoiding overstock and the need to reduce the price. Plus, you needed to remove the postcard from the book in order to place your order, and only two orders could be placed per card, thus anyone stocking up on these would have to buy multiple books as well, further pushing up the cost...
If you want to add this holy grail to your collection -- and what self-respecting collector wouldn't? -- then suck it up and pay BBTS prices (while you still can!), or check eBay around New Year's... you might be able to score one *slightly* cheaper.
These will only go up in price. The gold-plated ones always do!

Gold has nothing to do with it. Look at Henkei Strafe. Nose dived like a boss.

Previous figures of similar exclusivity would beg to differ with your assessment...not to mention the large quantity still available for pre-order, whose numbers just so happen to be increasing over the past few weeks.

With 300+ "in stock" for preorder at BBTS I think I'll wait it out.
If I miss it, that will be a shame, but the buy in price is just too rich for me at the moment.
There is just too much other cool stuff at the moment.

I assume you read Japanese to know this ???
Well if you are indeed right, this will open up another great opportunity for CHMS.
They could make great use of the Jazz mold:
1. Stepper
2. G2 Jazz
3. Dead End

Artfire with that PCC Pinpoint repaint sounds nice, but probably ain't gonna happen.

Yeah, they said they have no plans to make Artfire and Nightstick. Guido Guidi said that he just made up that design for them on his own, using those existing toy molds as inspiration.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Rodimus Minor wrote:Oh hell yes can't wait to get mine come on united repaint inferno into steppers partner (Can't remember the name)

Unfortunatally KO toys has been banned from selling anything that comes from a KOed Hasbro mold. Hasbro used a low blow by crying to the internet server. However the CHMS factory is doing great and preparing to release another run of figures from the Sideswipe mold. There are other places to get CHMS stuff so it's all good. Dont be suprised if CHMS brings out Stepper next.

Why in the blue hell would you want to do that ????
CHMS:
Hasbro:
I would rather shut down Hasbro and have Botcon contract CHMS to make the convention sets every year.
CHMS: The Peoples Champ.

CHMS would have less toy designs to steel then.

You got a good point. But actually they need each other. CHMS needs the molds. Hasbro needs someone to knock out all the repaints they will never do because little kids wont buy them. CHMS doesnt hurt Hasbro's profits. CHMS only KO's figures that are either no longer available through retail or never were. CHMS doesnt KO figures that Hasbro is currently selling. The only people who's profits get hurt by CHMS are e-bay dealers. And that helps us collectors because it forces them to bring down their outrageous prices if you prefer the original.

That's the only good thing out of being a cheap copy cat. Hasbro does all the Research & Development, and CHMS gets all the dough and credit from merely copying Hasbro's homework. Can we please stop talking about that now, I feel so dirty having spoken my mind and further derailing the thread.

I'm hoping for it. They tend to not revisit molds they've used in previous years though. I'm still waiting on a Hooligan from the Cybertron Starscream mold to finish off the jets from 2009.

You mean Energon Speaking of Starscream, the Classics mold is an exception in the fact it was used for two years: 2007 and 2011. Besides, RtS Grapple is different enough from Inferno to be considered its own mold.

You got me, I do mean the Energon mold. I'd think Grapple would be it's own mold as well. Bear in mind he's a Voyager or Ultra. I'd assume they might have the one or two larger guys be the focal figure for the set. Maybe, it's all speculation and we're way off subject now. Sorry I keep derailing.
