I want all of them... but for now, Domey is top priority

I think Soundwave and Rumble are the only two from the wave that I am not getting

Having now looked at that review... Chromedome's leg transformation is VERY impressive. I don't have the Dead End mold - not yet, anyway - so I don't know if Dead End's is the same but I assume it's the same accordion thing as the Aerialbots and Offroad? In any case it's still really impressive how the legs transform like that yet still have the cockpit be that accessible. I really love having my Transformers be pilotable in vehicle mode; something about it just feels more... I don't know, authentic and believable to me. So it's definitely a really big selling point.

Speaking of pilotable vehicles....it's a pity Hasbro(or Takara) don't give us human Titanmaster sized versions of Arcee ect(sort of what they did in the episode of Almost Human).

I think that could be cool, yeah. Like even for creating silly mass situations from the cartoon where Galvatron rode in Cyclonus' cockpit, Octane was in Sandstorm's, Hoist was driving Huffer etc.

For those with Alpha Trion in hand, is there a way to fold the lion paws behind his torso and make it less boxy?

No, not in the slightest, but it's a flat top, only so many ways you can make one of those - especially ones that also turn into a lion :HEADHURTS:

So I FINALLY found Crashbash! This is after making rounds on my way home from work and random walks for a solid two and a half weeks. I'd seen a peg with three left from wave 1 on it a week ago, but no Crashbash were left.

I gotta say, it was totally worth the wait. With ALL of the vehicle/vehicle titanmaster/minicon sets, they just fall flat; they don't feel like they do much, and the titanmasters don't really integrate in any kind of way that matters (you could replace the vehicle ones with a 2x2 lego brick and never know the difference. However, the beast mode ones are all spectacular so far. I spent most of the afternoon yesterday fawning over the newest addition to my shelf, and taking pictures aplenty. Oh, and the silly fanmode potential? THROUGH THE ROOF. I'll post some pictures later, but they're pretty grand.

Oh, and that smirky little face is great. :CON:

I really want soundwave for the sake of finally retiring my FoC soundwave off my Classics shelve and he's a cassette playe...in 2016. Rumble and all the other cassette/tablets(except rewind) I'm fighting the urge because I already have the United rumble Frenzy tanks and those are still the best reinterpretations of those guys.

I like my FoC Soundblaster, so I fear not getting the leader class one. Plus, the only cassette I don't have is Laserbeak, and I really want a good Ravage for the Lost Light shelf, otherwise I'm good

I'm getting Soundwave (along with Frenzy Blue Tape Guy Rumble) to use as discount Masterpieces since I can't afford the real ones.

My preferred collection of Soundwave and his tapes is... quickly getting VERY confusing.

Soundwave - FoC Voyager
Rumble - United/Adventure
Frenzy - United/Adventure
Laserbeak - FoC
Buzzsaw - FoC
Ravage - Titans Return/Device Label/Masterpiece/Universe (omg he is hard to decide on)
Overkill - Titans Return dinosaur mode
Wingthing - Titans Return Clobber dragon mdoe

And I don't even have a Ratbat!
Yeah, Wingthing seems a pretty weird choice, but... I think it works.
And as for Slugfest... well. If they're doing Grimlock and Swoop as Titan Masters, they're probably doing the other Dinobots, right? And if they're doing Snarl, they'll probably make Slugfest out of him. Hell, he's more likely than other to get a toy because of that redeco opportunity.

... jeez I need a Squawkbox.

The Titans return Ravege looks pretty solid even with those wings folded like they are. I'm still using the Universe Ravege that came with hound in 2008 with the G1 missiles attached.

TF-direct has deluxe wave 2 instock for $59.99 but not boxed. I ordered them, and once I saw they weren't in package I contacted asking how they got them. They said "we're direct" so now I'm a kinda worried I just bought figures that were stolen from the factory. Honestly I'm not sure what to think but the word "guilty" comes to mind :???:

Trends have shown Grimlock and Swoop to be the most famous, having been released the most times and sometimes together (Dinobots, Energon), so I wouldn't necessarily expect the rest to be released just for completion sake. SlugSlag and Snarl are pretty much equal, so they may get a chance, but poor SlogSludge. Hasbro is so prejudiced against Sauropods... :(

I'm sortof irked by the way he says 'takara will fix it' in at least 5 of those reviews. Even for weirdwilf where takara's paintwork is only marginally different...

I think sometimes as a fanbase we have a tendancy towards being really entitled.

I get a feeling about that Alpha trion figure that a heavy retool into razorclaw is in it's not so distant future. Everything seems to have a way it can sit into a configuration that looks a shitload like a predaking torso. The lion head on the chest, legs folded up to form thighs, a large waist skirt for the crotch plate, even the titan master cockpit can be shifted onto the top in prime position for a combiner head.

Just where the arm connectors would go is about the only thing I can't figure out, but then the chest has that whole mechanism in it for the springloaded automorph that could be gutted to accomodate more parts, sort of the reverse of how domey shares the dead end tooling but drops the combiner peg to accomodate the cockpit.

Dude, we are entitled to nothing. It is a choice for you to be an adult and buy this stuff. This isn't water or food we are entitled to none of this. Hasbro and Takara owe us nothing.

It also really confuses me when, like... I don't really see anything wrong with the colours at all that would need to be fixed? Am I colour blind or something because I literally can't see how they could be any 'better', unless 'better' translates to "Accurate to that one 1987 Japanese cartoon".

What irritated me was that he knocks the wolfwire head mold saying it looks nothing like the card art, and that 'hopefully TT will fix this', when:

A) we've seen the TT head and it won't look like the card art, and

B) the card art is from the Legends game that preceded the line by a couple of years

It'd be like saying the cw aerialbot's were trash because they don't look like their card art

If you're talking about the yellows on wolfwire, he is right, one shade of yellow is molded yellow plastic, and the other is yellow paint over navy plastic, they are noticeably different, and has been the case, since at least thrilling 30's BB (if not before - and, I believe it was an issue with the TT sunstreaker), and will continue to be the case (I surmise that a similar thing will occur with the TT wolfwire as they're using the same plastic and paint in all likelihood - but I'm sure he'll say it's great because: TT) as yellow allows most color's to bleed through it.

It's more than a couple of shades of yellow that matt finish texture pinkish yellow on his crotch is another shade too.

So it look like he has various kinds of yellow plastic the glossy plastic in the upper arms, the matt plastic in the crotch i'll have to re-watch the video to see if it has any of the bendy stuff too.

So it does look a bit eccentric - The Takara one has the abdomen on the mould mode cast in yellow so I don't know if that will make a big difference or not.

I find I often tend to raise a brow at Chefatron's video he is either gushing about mediocrity and giving it 10 out of 10, throwing things across his desk in disgust, complaining about distribution when he's usually got it weeks before the rest of the world, moaning about a 'bad paint app' that is so slight it doesn't even register to the viewer.

He's useful sometimes but like a lot of video reviewers he can be rather exasperating at times. But I usually have to just put that down to individual tastes - I know some things like curling forearms drive some people nuts - that i'd likely barely notice.

I'd certainly not vociferously complain about a 5mm hole being to small - i'd just go fetch some clear Nail varnish.

Mindwipe looks better in that video than in still pictures. I was gonna pass on him, but I'm not sure now. He may be one that I may have to see in person to make a decision on, but from what we see in the video, I'll definitely at least consider him now.

Not really. I'm not shooting for headmaster series style accuracy, it's more that I have some degree of attachment and reason to get them. Plus, after watching the reviews, All 3 look pretty killer.

Ugh, my Skullcruncher is so bad. Loose hip balls, loose thigh swivel, nearly impossible to tab his legs together for gator mode, titanmaster flap gets stuck. He looks so damn good, though. Such a shame there have been so many duds. Have there been any quality ones around at all?

Mine had the same leg problems, but at least mine could stand. My buddy has one that won't even do that much... #-o BUT. I have seen some better and some worse cases among the multiples I've shifted through for parts. There are some good ones out there. And it's practically a moot problem with some joint thickener. ;)^

Most people here accept that they simply share engineering rather than being retools, don't worry

No he doesn't. He shares engineering, the way the parts move around and fit together, but no actual tooling (parts) is shared between the two figures.

Hellscream9999 wrote:B) the card art is from the Legends game that preceded the line by a couple of years

Incorrect. This is Legends Weirdwolf's art:
Image

TF Legends art was used for a lot of the Combiner Wars characters, but not all (of the CW cards I have, Blackjack, Legends Groove, Shockwave, Bombshell/Hardshell, Chopshop, Buzzsaw, Alpha Bravo, Onslaught, and Ultra Magnus were not game art, despite most of them having cards in the game), and all of the Titans Return figures use original art. This makes Wolfwire's completely different stock art head even stranger.

As far as the figures go, I do find it slightly annoying that the yellows on Wolfy don't all match but I guess it'd be harder to get all the yellow parts on the same sprue. I'll live. The rest look great.

I'm a little late to the party on this one, but grabbed Skullcruncher at Target today. He's awesome! Had loose hips, but those were an easy fix with some scotch tape on the ball joins and thigh swivels. The croc mode is so cool. Rivals Blurr for best of wave 1.

I had Hardhead for a hot second, but his arms were really floppy and pin joints are much harder to tighten up. Plus, I just wasn't all that impressed one I got him in hand. I love having the Universe Hardhead with the Headrobots accessories more. He's just so huge.

Yes, I know. He shares a transformation scheme, a shoulder pin and a vague silhouette, not a mould. They share engineering. It was a slip of the mind. #-o

Could've done without 2 people jumping to correct me and nobody mentioning the point of what I was actually saying.

We kinda missed it last time so we are announcing it now, it seems the second wave of Titans Return is also trickling down Canada. Fellow Seibertronian Steevo was not only able to find all of wave 1 but also the Wave 2 Legends figures, which include Rewind, Ravage and Laserbeak, along with the second wave of Titan Masters (which has been out in both the US and Canada for a week or two). While most Titans Return toys were found at Toysrus when it comes to Canada, these Legends were found at Walmart and came out at the same time as the first wave of Legends figures. Walmart is currently redoing its display modules for their Transformers section across the country, which is great news to many Canadians who were tired of seeing that Transformers section shrinking to non existence. This simultaneous release for at least two classes posits that both waves are currently available to retailers. If its happening in Canada, the odds are the second wave of Legends figures will be hitting the US soon as well.

Aw man. I'm jealous Canada. I haven't seen a SINGLE figure from the Titans Return line in ANY store. The only Titans Return figure I have is Galvatron who I got off of Amazon.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been combing the local stores on my way home from work, and the Transformers sections are still packed to the gills with RiD and CW shelfwarmers. I did manage to find a Crashbash at Toys R Us, which I was incredibly happy with.

I don't see how this was missed as there was a picture and that is specifically states wave 2 was released at Canadian retail in the previous new post.

Doesn't seem like this post was really needed.

For which one? Or, I guess they are decent prices for both. Only bummer is, they are exempt from sales and promos.

Both, but specifically the one you wanted. not much more than what you would pay at retail but with cool exclusive deco.

Do we know for sure if we're getting Overkill, Flip Side, Beastbox, Howlback, Garboil, Glit, Slugfest, Slamdance, Nightstalker, Playback, Rosanna, Sundor, Legout and Decibel for both Soundwave & Blaster :-?

Well, Overkill is getting a release, as a redeco of Crashbash called "Overboard" (blame people being so sensitive with "kill", "death" and the like):

I'm not exactly wanting all of them lol. Especially not the really obscure ones. Like, y'know, who cares?
Maybe Howlback since she's technically the first trans character in transformers

I'll reserve my opinions on Weirdwolf till more reviews come out. I think he still looks quite promising.
