Also See those Side Legs on Overlord's Base Mode? you can see it below right.
and there's a space for a Third Party parts addition for a turret and a crane for a base mode like this

They've already covered both between Overlord and Sky Shadow. Ominus's design is based on Mega while Dreadnaught's design is based on Giga. So they want us to buy both figures to get both of the Titan Masters based on Overlord's original Godmasters.Rodimus Prime wrote:I wonder if we'll get a 2nd Titan Master with Overlord, or if we'll get a separate one by itself. If not an official one, there will be at least a 3rd party Mega (or Giga, whichever is missing), I hope.

Ah. Thank you. I didn't know this. I have no interest in Sky Shadow so I never bothered to look. I guess I'll try to pick up his Titan Master by itself if I can.Sabrblade wrote:They've already covered both between Overlord and Sky Shadow. Sky Shadow is an excellent figure wo be extension, Overlord will be too. I'll buy a Titan Master that is close enough to fill in the missing powermaster's role. This will give Overlord a face-swapping gimmick!

Was actually hoping the TM would be named Giga, or a variation of it .
Anyways, as for the bio translations in other languages, its been a long time since high school Spanish for me, however...could it be the bios use more of a Castilian (Spain) dialect rather than say...the Spanish spoken in Mexico and the rest of the North and South American Continents? I mean I know they are very much the same. But since people from the United States have trouble understanding people from the UK, Australia etc.... (and vice versa) I know the same goes for different dialects of different languages.
I know close friends of mine are learning Portuguese. The trouble is what they are learning is *Traditional*, yet most of the people they speak to are from Brazil, which presents some challenges.

I'm not really knowledgeable about the Japanese series, but Giga and Mega were husband and wife, right? So if Dreadnaught and Ominus are based on Giga and Mega, what sort of relationship do Sky Shadow and Overlord have? Would they be Metamours? In laws?
Posted by Insurgent on June 21st, 2017 @ 12:10pm CDT
If sentient, no relation. Just work buddies who happen to carry around a friend who hppens to ve married to someone being carried by his Buddy.
If not sentient, then they are married as they would be the persona of their titan master who is controlling them.
Posted by Sabrblade on June 21st, 2017 @ 12:11pm CDT
Dreadnaught and Ominus may have designs based on Giga and Mega (who, yes, were husband and wife), but that doesn't mean that Dreadnaught and Ominus are Giga and Mega.Caelus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:They've already covered both between Overlord and Sky Shadow. After all, Sixshot's Titan Master, Revolver, is designed after Chromedome's friend Jack, but Revolver certainly isn't Jack.

Wait rulers in the Us have centimeters? What folly is this?!?!?!
By the way, want to know the origin of 5 mm ports (and yes, they are 5 mm, 3mm is stuff like Deluxe classics rodimus and legion class figures).
Its because those are the same sized holes as screwholes, or at least they were back then. So they already have had holes on the toys for the screws and thus it was easiest to bore the same holes for them to place accessories, or simply the screw holes served dual purpose for the screws and accessories.
AND unite Warriors Devastator keeps this soldi tradition as having one of his screw holes actually be the place where you place the weapon in one of the vehicle modes.
Posted by bodrock on June 21st, 2017 @ 4:32pm CDT
I can confirm the Pretenders and Beast Wars figures have the 5mm peg holes....I shall check if G1 Soundwave can hold 'em....

Overlord is bloody the heck AWESOME. I earnestly recommend reading Last Stand of the Wreckers and MTMTE for more on him, but the cliffnotes are that he's an insanely powerful Decepticon - probably the most powerful active one aside from Combiners - who's an absolute psycho and carries out sick experiments on both the biological and psychological level. He's a scary motherfucker.

Ah, of course! I'd forgotten about that thread. Suffice to say here that Full Tilt is a pretty decent Deluxe with quite a bit more complexity to him than I'd thought, and Trypticon is WAY TOO BIG to open in a car.

o.supreme wrote:^ I don't think that's a question any of us can answer at the moment, even BBTS. The only suggestion I can offer is to check BBTS daily. Occasionally someone may cancel an order, which will bring that item instantly back available for pre-order, that's how I have gotten a few items actually. If another source can be found to purchase this set (It is I am told only a BBTS exclusive in the United States, other retailers will have it in other countries I assume), I'm sure it will be made a news article here
I second checking BBTS occasionally. Even after it initially sold out, I noticed it popped back in stock at least 2 times. I haven't seen it pop back in stock in a while, but wouldn't be surprised if someone else cancels. That's how I got my UW-Computron.

I'd be interested to see if anyone has kitbashed the origin of TR Fort Max's mold into a more G1 Metroplex to better match Trypticon.

Well, the new Fortress from Brave Maximus in the EX-Chapter from Black Convoy's Chapter, as a redeco of the TR Fort Max, it can be seen here in this picture, which called "Neo Brave Maximus"
This kinda resembles the Fort Max alot,

Maybe will release a version of Overlord with Mega & Giga Headmasters if they skip Sky Shadow.

Qwan wrote:Right so I got up bright and early this (Australian) morning, and picked me up a Trypticon from Big W immediately upon opening! I had about half an hour before work which gave me just enough time to open the box, snap a few pics of Tryp bound to his tray (in the car, which as you can imagine is not the best place for photographing a giant huge box), and extract Full Tilt; not enough time or space to open the big guy himself but I'll get to that in a few hours. Ohhhh boy am I looking forward to it.

For example I have a spare nose cannon from a Micromaster base as a rifle for Classics Bumblebee.
Other sizes do show up though 2.5mm 3mm 4mm & 6mm for example = Also yes it was useful to be able to use screw holes to mount weapons too - such as Terribull's rifle in beast mode or Weirdwolf's blaster (on the screw holes in his chest) in beast mode.
I actually considered making a whole thread about this once - but it slipped my mind.

You mean Dreamwave, not IDW. IDW only reprinted "War Within", Dreamwave made it.Albatross250 wrote:Kurona wrote:Had to pull off Shocker's head temporarily to do this, but was struck by this idea that doesn't really work out well but my god would it be cool if it did. 3mm ports go back to the G1 Autobot Cars, the Dinobots, the Constructicons, and the Special Teams limb members (Well, except the Aerialbots)
Anybody got any connected base mode photos of the Leader-class figures (for these purposes, Sixshot's tank mode counts)?
Speaking of base modes, add me in to those hoping there will be a Dai Atlas (who would probably be packaged as "King Atlas" - precedent plus "Dai" sounds like "Die" and retailers aren't letting any brand other than Star Wars use words like "Die", "Death", and "Kill" these days) from the Sky Shadow/Overlord mold and/or that the "Power of the Primes" successor line will have compatible base modes. Because PMOP's base mode is.. yeah. There's that fan mode that points the decks forward to give driving clearance on the ramps, but it's still not ideal for linking him to other base modes (if only his knees were reversible so that the ramps could point out to the sides like the original PMOP..). That and, well, as far as regular retail goes: The Decepticons have Oversize Soundwave, Overlord, Sky Shadow, and Sixshot. The Autobots have Oversize Blaster and Powermaster Optimus Prime. "Quickswitch" and "Magnus Prime" even the numbers out but they're set exclusives and Magnus Prime is not exactly super-distinct in color from PMOP (at least Overlord and Sky Shadow have markedly different color schemes) and unless he's been retooled to have reversible knees his base mode has the same deficiencies. So we could decidedly do with either Dai Atlas or an Apex Bomber import of Godbomber.
