william-james88 wrote:Have any of you Americans been having a hard time finding the deluxes and voyagers from the Titans Return line in stores? Well fear not, Toysrus.com might be the answer. They currently have both Sentinel Prime for $24.99 each as well as all the deluxes (except for Blurr) for $16.99, which is the MSRP. Better yet, there is free shipping on orders above $19, meaning that two deluxes or one voyager is all you need to get some free shipping. Click on the picture below to be taken to the site if you are in need of some Titans Return goodness.
Oooh, thank you very much, william! Now I can finally pick up some of those bigger figs that have eluded me so.

He is, he was already found in the back of boxes. I have no clue why he wasnt relvealed yet sicne he is in the same wave as Hot Rod. The next reveals are in New York but that would make it super close to their release.

If they do make it a retool then I'd be a little happier about it, yeah. Especially if they use that opportunity to make it a smoother crocodile alt mode so there's no spike kibble in robot mode offputting the silhouette. My complaints right now mostly lie with the idea that it's a straight redeco - face aside - and nothing more.
We'll see. If it's just a few pieces it would make sense. The chest, fronts of the legs, the lail, and the head are pretty much all that need to be changed.
And some way to remove the crocodile feet.
That's probably not happening. I am looking to more reasonable tweaks.

Maybe not... what if it's a new character altogether? Or Gatoraider & Krok switching bodies and names? Krok was named more for his partner rather than his hinted vehicle mode after all.

Thats the way I always saw it. It would be a mix of the two components, just like the new Lione (who was a lion that turned into a head but now is a robot that turns into a head that is paired with a lion).

No problem I knew people were having a tough time with these.

Why is it that these stores (tru, target, walmart, etc.) don't adhere to release dates? Why is it that they don't post online listings at the same time as they offer the toys in store? I mean I can't TELL ya how many times I call up and some employee looks online instead of on the floor (something I could have done at home) and tries to tell me they don't carry those toys! Like maaan, I SAW one in another tru yes-ter-day!
I just vant help but giggle that they've finally done this NOW after I've already hunted for these for weeks.

I was thinking it would be cool of it was Krok, with the colors of Gatorader in his alligator mode, and has Gatorader as his titanmaster's name.

Huh? First time I've heard Scourge being retooled into Highbrow. Checking the Wiki... and I'll be damned. Still, with the amount of parts in common being minimal, it's more of a case of part sharing, like Blurr does with Chromedome.

But Topspin isn't a tank, let alone a ground vehicle.Kurona wrote:That's a point, I didn't think about whether Top Spin might be a remold... I don't know who they could retool him from tho. If he is, my best guess is a scourge-highbrow level retool of Hardhead.

The Jumpstarter. This is a G1-centric line and no-one really knows the other two - one of them's even pretty much the same guy just in a different timeline.

I figured it'd be the Jumpstarter, with the other two being Combiners, along with the reasons you stated. Would be interesting to see an update to the Jumpstarter, and with all the other obscure Transformers getting new figures, now is the perfect time to re-introduce them.
Posted by Sabrblade on August 10th, 2016 @ 3:31pm CDT
FOC Topspin was an attempt to homage G1 Topspin with non-Topspin-looking mold, while the Classics Topspin toy was just a name reuse for an unrelated Club character.EmirateXaaron wrote:I think it's interesting that Topspin is rumored to be getting a new figure. Also topspin is an odd man out in that rumour list. We know Getaway is in the 1st 2016 wave, so that means there are 5 others and a wave only has 4. The redecos make sense and Kup was rumoured a while back. Plus we already have a perceptor head. But Topspin is the only figure we dont know of and he isn't an older "master" figure or an 86 movie bot. Plus that would make a total of 4 waves for TR, and I forget if it was said if it would go on for more than a year or not. Forgive this wild conjecture, but could he be the first in a line of a ruination combiner? Using the Strafe/Blastoff mold? Hasbro said combiners might make a return later.
Also, for Highbrow and Scourge, they were simply both concieved at the same time and engineered together. And Jelze here is a fun article you probably missed that is totally worth your time

At first I was going to say that wouldn't work nearly as well as it did in the '80s, but something just occurred to me. Supposedly we're supposed to get Pounce and Wingspan in this line so what if Top Spin and Twin Twist are pre-re-molds of Fastlane and Cloudraker? It would take a lot of tweaking to make that actually work, but Hasbro and Takara Tomy have apparently learned magic to make this line so anything is possible.
