Only for the Voyagers and Leaders, who have Scorponok-styled helmets for the Titan Masters to wear to make their head modes bigger. All the Deluxes lack helmets so the Titan Masters end up forming their whole heads.MR Optimus Prime wrote:So EVERY one of these new Titan Masters are actualy Headmaster JR's? They only form the face.

I think only the bigger figures we've seen so far have a "helmet" feature. They form the entire head for the Deluxe figures.MR Optimus Prime wrote:So EVERY one of these new Titan Masters are actualy Headmaster JR's? They only form the face.
Edit: Ya. What Sabrblade said.

There was, and still is, probably no way to take those little stick-boy props as pictured in this image and turn them into the beefy, organically armored arms pictured for his robot mode.
Neither of which of course look like what the 86 toy actually was....
It goes without saying the upcoming Generations toy blows the G1 version out of the water. Whatever flaws it may have, I'll take it over the G1 toy or the Universe Rubik's cube version any day of the week.

I'll always like his universe mould for what it is. It's far from perfect, like his arms never want to stay attached when transforming him but, I like it. Of course, it's nothing compared to the titan returns galvatron. Interestingly though, as a kid when I played with the G1 toy, I have him a ship mode as well by spreading his upper arms out but keeping his treads attached and having his handle flat against the back of his legs facing up.

Well...
If the cannon and the flight systems are powered from the same source, flying would diminish power available for the cannon's output. And of course, there's the problem of dealing with recoil in flight - that limits the firepower you can dish out with a forward-facing airborne cannon.

This is Galvatron we're talking about. Rational thinking doesn't apply.

I also hope the jet cockpit can be flipped of extended in to the signature support leg in cannon mode.
I hope the cannon will stay in without the use of the shoulder supports as I think those should be flipped back not forwards to look more like the original's design.
Also he doesn't need 3 Decepticon logos that just looks silly one was fine. - But at least they are covered up in robot mode.
I'll likely knock the pin out of the cannon hinge if it's feasible to do that I don't like that hinged piece hanging down like that. It might have made more sense to have it parts form and then you could stick it on the Titan=Master vehicles as a bonkers engine or on the bases as decoration when not needed.
I understand why the minifigures don't have separated legs and knees as they are so very small A small shame though that they do not-
I'm a little concerned that all toys will have appropriate storage for them (not just the Deluxes) as you really don't want to loose Galvatron's head as the only place to put him is upside down in the cockpit or standing on a peg I guess.

The face formed by Titan Master Megatron looks far too recessed into the "Galvatron" helmet. I hope this is more a problem with poor transformation at the show than the design of the toy. I'll wait to see what Takara Tomy does with the paint job, though. Hasbro's paint looks very good, but could still be improved in some subtle ways. I'm REALLY digging Blaster. His sculpt is fantastic, but it's just TOO BIG as a Leader Class figure. Still, I will probably get it for the playability or as a placeholder "Masterpiece" version. Again, I'll wait to see what Takara does with the paint. I'm not digging the yellow optics.
Yeah, in the videos, it is shown to be on a pin, and was hastily shown off, so it should sit more snugly to the face (but it might not, only time will tell, since these won't be out 'til next summer)

Especially if these were rushed for the event or test molds. Weren't these only shown off in bulk this early to address the leaked art at botcon - and to a lesser extent the rumors and computer listings?

Anyways back to Titan Wars. Am I the only one who's excited about Hardhead? Seems like most people are too distracted salivating over the other figures.

You are definitely NOT the only one. The deluxe figures are the ones I'm looking forward to the most, as that means more characters from the G1 cartoon for my Classics collection. I've already got a decent Galvatron and a Blaster that looks great and scales correctly for my Classics shelves. Technically, I also have a Classics Hardhead (Universe 2009 Wal-Mart exclusive repaint of Ultra Class Onslaught), but this new one fits the bill SO much better. Hurray for the Headmasters (and maybe Targetmasters if we're really good?)!

I mean, the tank mode is awesome, but his bot mode head is kinda dumb lookin', it's all scrunched up, like he accidentally bought a helmet that's too big with too small an opening for his face... I'll wait 'til in-hand pics come out, then decide, or wait a year 'til they're actually released and see if there is a cooler repaint of him coming

...but it would be a perfect base for an extensive retool into Powermaster Prime in my opinion, because at least he would actually LOOK like Powermaster Prime. I do agree that I want him to have his own mold, but I would much rather him be a retool of UM than a retool of something else. (*cough cough* CW Optimus.) Who else would be a retool of UM? But I don't want that mold retooled. for me, that mold is perfect for Magnus and anyone else using the mold wouldn't be near as good. besides: the shoulder pads on magnus are half the length of the top part of the trailer. what would happen there? Prime with magnus shoulders? No, we have got enough of the retools/repaints, they should have the ability to make new molds for this line, especially when we have got 3 repainted leaders in the past year remolded from a leader last year plus another set of retools. That is 7 leaders in the past 2 years using 3 molds. Not that i am against them, but new molds are needed

I do agree that I want him to have his own mold, but I would much rather him be a retool of UM than a retool of something else. (*cough cough* CW Optimus.) Who else would be a retool of UM? (Actually Scourge would be an AMAZING retool of UM in my opinion lol, even though it wouldn't make much sense.)
I wouldn't mind as it looks cool enough. But the qc issues would have to get ironed out first.
