With the launch of the Transformers: The Last Knight toyline, there have been plenty of awesome events going on around the world to celebrate the new movie. Well, thanks to the UniĆ³n Cultural Mexicana de Fans de Transformers Facebook, we can tell you that Mexico also got in on the fun! The first event, held in a Walmart parking lot, featured an animatronic Optimus Prime, complete with purple eyes, Souvenirs, toys, and prizes to be given out. It even included some cars based on the characters in The Last Knight, with Hot Rod, Bumblebee, Barricade, and Crosshairs being represented by unofficial cars that come close to duplicating their on-screen alternate modes.
Check out the images below, and if you live in Mexico: follow their Facebook. This set will be traveling around the country to set up and celebrate the new movie!

I feel it's very possible it's an exclusive. Not a very good one, but an exclusive nonetheless.

Oh, well make sure you quote where it comes from. I was confused as hell as to what you were talking about.
And I doubt this is some sort of upcoming figure. the thing has voyager Megs pictures as a legion class figure. It's just wack

Easy mistake to make with multiple figures name "Megatron" in the line. Same for "Optimus Prime"

Roadblock (ha), Barricade's annoyingly dedicated tiny deputy that always wants to tag along on patrols.
Plus he can do the smooth criminal!!!

Forgot I have that mold in my box of figures I don't particularly need to keep.
Maybe mine here is Smokescreen before obsessing about Barricade enough to turn into your 'Roadblock'.

BTW, I doubt a knockoff Optimus Prime would have such intricate flame work or leave the clear panels intact on the top of the truck hood and roof. Very strange looking figure, and a strange choice to go with DotM (why not Evasion Prime or the new Voyager?). The way it's painted almost makes it look like it's being shot back into the Earth's atmosphere from space.

That is an awesome idea! Now I'm going to need to do this with my Smokescreen

In the past, what was the time frame for the next wave of figures up to the movie release? I'm guessing (hoping) the next wave would be in May sometime then the rest to coincide with the film release?

Sometime in May was said for Wave 2. I'd like those three as well.

So, definitely the weakest of the 3 wave 1 guys I purchased. He is not bad, but he is beneath Barricade and Prime. The robot mode is awesome and I love looking at it. The alien head and dreads are really cool and the chest looks pretty sweet as well. The legs are pretty cool too and I love that the figures in this line seem to be taking heel spurs seriously. He is pretty stable and fun to pose. His weapons are pretty sweet too. Transformation is difficult because the arms and legs just don't want to behave themselves when hooking up, but it has gotten a bit easier with several transformations. Alt mode is pretty nice, and I appreciate the fact that they are painting all the windows and lights or using translucent plastic for all of them on these figures. the gaps between arms and legs are a detriment, and it feels a bit small, like the robot was good but the alt mode needed to be voyager sized. But he is an alright figure, though I recommend Barricade as the best of wave 1.

I was gonna get Berserker just for his predator robot mode anyways but probably when i find him cheaper. I like Barricade a lot especially since being told his backpack can be taken off and used like a riot shield but my fave of wave 1 is easily Optimus Prime. Only niggle I have with him is kinda tricky to get the front panels of the truck all lined up but I mostly have him in robot mode anyways and I'm quite enjoying painting up extra and correct details on him and awaiting the hopefully inevitable reprolabels for all those missing robot mode flames.

Does this mean that Cybertron is the planet in the trailers? Could also be a reason why it looks Different in 2007 compared to DOTM

Vulvatron will be mine.
PS- just cheked it out and filled out a bunch of false info to eventually learn the offer is only available in the States. Super lame.

RAR wrote:Speaking of Movie toys - has anyone noticed how expensive Movie ROTF Leader Jetfire has gotten recently ? even ones with bits missing are going for decent prices - bit of a puzzle I thought.
Makes perfect sense since the Leader Optimus that it connects with has been rereleased a ton of times (and the best version got released this year) that many people are catching up and buying a jetfire to go with it.

Thanks, I was basing my analysis on the official shots of Hound so far. I had not noticed that it was removed from the recent trailers as well.
And Bumblebee21, while it doesnt ruin the figure to me, it does take away some nice detail that broke up all the same coloured plastic.

Prowl4 wrote:Thought it was odd to give him medical symbols but then again he's probably going to do more medical work than ratchet did.
I know head canon's are not true and all but I just chalk it up to Ratchet getting rusty (literally) in his hands from age like from the MTMTE comics so he isn't as good as he used to be so I consider Ratchet to be more of a "knowledge" type doctor who tells you what your symptoms are and not as much as a physical one who saves your life.
What we do know is in movie 1 Ratchet's analysis of Bee's voicebox as well as Sam's uh pheromones, talked about the consequences of Optimus merging his Spark with the Allspark and presumably helped fix Bee's legs, In ROTF He told Jolt what to do with Optimus and Jetfire (in the novel he does the work himself) and he probably checked up on Prime after he died, In DOTM he provided analysis on Sentinel's state while on the moon with Optimus and presumably fixed Prime's arm after the movie.
So the problem isn't really that Ratceht doesn't do medical work but that most of hands on work takes place off screen and when it does it's not obvious lets hope Hound does otherwise in this movie.
