Transformers The Last Knight Hot Rod News: One Step 2 Pack Found in UK and Price Decrease for Legion

This reminds me: has anyone at Hascon mentioned anything about the distribution issues with the last wave of figures? I'm worried that this would end up like the DOTM fiasco all over again, even if some fans got a hold of Cogman, Bee, and Hot Rod.

I was at the local Meijer store today, and they got discount tags on everything: Buy 2, get 1 half off for voyagers, buy 3 get one free (I think, might have been half off) for deluxes. They're trying to clear inventory, so I'm thinkin' they're either about to get the next wave in or they're just desperate to unload what they got. It's all Slash, Berserker, first-wave Bee, etc. I get groceries there all the time so I check whenever I'm in. If I see Cogman or the other no-shows I'll def post in the sightings. No price changes at Target, Wally World, or TRU so far.

You should look more into this. The TLK line from Takara itself offers the exact same figures as the Hasbro ones, they just cost more for us to import. But its the same figures with packaging and everything. All the different ones you see, like the Nemesis is not part of the TLK line. They are part of another line called Movie the Best, not related to it. You can visit the link I wrote above to learn more about that line.

I feel so silly..I can't believe I read the title different. Sheesh. I've been collecting far too long to not have noticed. Thanks. I didn't realize the Nemesis was in that line up. Seems appropriate tho now you mention it. Appreciate the link.

If anyone doesn't know (like me until recently) you can do Click n Collect on Asda stuff online to have it shipped for free to your local Asda if your local one doesn't have the figures in stock or if it's a smaller store that doesn't stock action figures at all. It's how I got Deluxe Hot Rod last week.

Its been at mine since the deluxe and legion came in a few weeks ago.

They are. But they are based on the flip-N-change Lockdown. I'm not sure if Bee is a new remold because there was a FnC Bee in AoE, but Hotrod definitely is.

Bumblebee is his old one, and Hotrod is a new-head redeco of Lockdown. In the two-pack we are currently discussing, Bumblebee is a redeco and Hot Rod is a new mold that shares a transformation scheme with Lockdown, Crosshairs and Stinger.

Whatever happened to the Legion Class two-pack of Hot Rod and Bumblebee? Did that get quietly canned?

After the first sightings in Walgreens for the One Step subline from Transformers: The Last Knight, regular news source Scottimus Prime has sent us a sighting for the Cogman, Drift and Scorn wave in Toys'R'Us too! This particular sighting is from Lake Grove, New York - if you come across any others, please make sure to use the Sightings Database to register your own spotting of the figures!

Found Scorn and Nitro Zeus at a Walmart near me. Nice to see that they're in stores and available at a closer place. All I need to do is hide at least NZ so I can get him later on! I'll wait for Scorn on another day.

According to online retailer Amazon.com, the supposedly Walmart exclusive Transformers: The Last Knight Hot Rod (from the Autobots Unite sub-line) is actually not that exclusive after all, as it was listed here (though currently unavailable, at the time of writing) for general retail release and pricing - and packaging. Check out the images below!

Ok, this is very weird at best. The Product Number is off. The listing has C4058, but the original releases in Asia have C2019 stamped on the toys, meaning they should be considered two different products altogether.
It could very well be a redeco, or a separate general retail release among the likes of RiD Starscream. Or just a goof.

I'm sorry I got confused. I thought the stock image was of the Legion two pack, not the one-step changers. I didn't know they were coming

I wonder if this was a backup plan, in case Walmart dropped the subline as an exclusive. The packaging is standard TLK packaging-Autobots Unite has its own logo and shows both 'Bee and Hot Rod on the front, with Bee actually more prominent.

So either Hasbro had him as a backup plan, or always planned to release him at retail later on.

Weird...I've been checking Amazon for quite awhile for this. The only deluxe Hot Rod listed was and still is available is from the Asia market and priced at $100+.

Holy Crap that is badass! Hot Rod is one of my new Favorite Movie Bots, and I want that one!! Badly!! It's so sweet! I'll get that and it's repaint if they do one based on his Movie style, I want Gold and Red and Black (spare the yellow)! Bring on an MPM Soon!!

Don't like the face, don't like that he's French, don't like he's annoying as hell in the movie. Don't like his Pokémon gimmick. Practically every Transformer "character" is super one dimensional, super loud and has super few lines, does one or two action attacks and then stands around for the other 5 seconds of screen time they have.

That aside, so his Pikachuuuuuuu!!!! Attack is his thing right, where the hell is his gun in toy form?
It's like not shipping Optimus with his Sword, or making a Megatron toy without his arm-cannon.
Wait, never mind, why would the toys make any sense if the movie...
Why do the only 2 cool characters in the movie have terrible toys? (Dragon Storm / Infernicus)

Well that's a better box even just for showcasing Hot Rod himself as the main picture rather than Bumblebee getting in the way.

Really liked the character in the film and the toy is a lot of fun and while not super accurate it's a great retool of the Lockdown mold and nicely painted. Am happy with it.

Be careful on Ebay folks. There are a lot of Cogman's being sold for cheap from canadian users who have never registered and have no feedback, and there are like 10 or 15 of them. If someone wants to order from them, please do, but be careful, this has scam written all over it

I am not sure if this is just a heavily modified version of the Deluxe, or a Third Party or KO.. But if it's a small conversion.. I would do it! It looks primo and sweet! The chest doesn't look like the standard deluxe.. Is that a TAKARA TOMY Custom? Anyone know what this is?? It says custom but you never know..



If that can be done with a deluxe that already looks amazing, Imagine what a Proper Masterpiece of him will look like?! TLK Hot Rod is quickly becoming a Favorite of mine..

Even without the heavy Modifications someone else did, look at the detail work on the face! For a deluxe, this mold is absolutely fantastic!! Two Thumbs Up!

I personally like Hot Rod the way he is. As neat as it'd be to add more color on him, I think the flame decals would look inconsistent with a dark Lamborghini. Sometimes, if I see the way a certain version of a character looks, I'd stick with that appearance; i.e. Movie Prime looks great with the flames and different positions of red and blue, but without them he looks off to me (doesn't look bad on TFP Optimus). BH Bulkhead is an exception since the Brawn esque colors and the different head give him a new personality.

Still can't wait to get Hot Rod. If we get more sightings of other characters, then I'll be as happy as anyone singing the 12 days of xmas (3 months away, btw!)

That's true. I may modify slightly if only to match what I've seen in media (TV/movie/comic) like I did with Beast Hunters Optimus Prime from that TFP. I do wish he came with his weapon though..

Yea, I get that. To me, Movie Prime does match his flames. There were a lot of redeco versions of Prime in Red and Blue Ala G-1 esque style done with the Leader Class version for both TFTM and TFROTF, and then there were the ubiquitous Red and Blue silver repaints on the evasion from TFAOE. I do prefer the original Colors presented as well. However.. I think that black Lamborghini's can also come in black with flames..It's not like it hasn't been done already.. I just figure if I get two figures, why not try to G-1 it up a bit..
