Great news, Siege leader Cybertron Optimus Prime has been found in the US. he was found at a Walmart in Midland, MI. This toy is a heavy retool of leader Ultra Magnus. The figure's actual name is Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime, meaning this is still technically a G1 Optimus Prime figure, simply in an upgraded form, but that is merely the toy's bio and most fans see this as a Classics version of Cybertron / Galaxy Force Optimus Prime.
He retails for just shy of $50 USD. This sighting was sent to us by Manleybot who also spotted the latest Siege voyagers, Soundwave and Starscream, as well as the latest G1 minibot reissues, Warpath and Gears.
If you have found any of these, share your sightings with our community in the sightings section and on our boards in your region related thread.

I wouldn't say that Omega Supreme "dwarfs" Devastator. He's just about a head taller, really. The height measurement of 24 inches that Hasbro is advertising is obviously referring to the wings on the back, which add a few inches in height. In terms of cartoon scale, again, looking at the height of the heads, this is actually pretty spot on.
Have you seen the bulk to Omega? It's not just the height difference, which is about 6" to the top of his rails, but also how much more bulky he is.
And dang, Galaxy Prime out already. He's like 3 or 4 months early
Posted by DeathReviews on March 24th, 2019 @ 7:03pm CDT
And yeah - I don't classify Omega Supreme's wing-dings as being part of his 'height'. Otherwise, I could make TR Trypticon even taller than Omega by taking the tower/backpack section, extending the guns from them, and turning them so they point up.

Ha! Yes, Sixgun. The real question is, was that a mistake on my part or did my phone autocorrect to Sixshot. I mean, it’s not like I haven’t texted that name a million times.

Sixgun weaponizing? In that case here, have this again:
I greatly prefer using his torso bits as a Doomfist as opposed to guns and/or armor so far, I feel they work so much better that way.

Ultra Magnus's hips/legs want to move together when you only move one (forward/backwards), but they are not fused. Feels like the connections are just squeezed together really tight. If that is the case with Cog might just require a little brute force to break the grip.
Posted by Sabrblade on March 25th, 2019 @ 11:15am CDT
IIRC, when I first opened my Cog, his thighs were stuck moving only in conjunction with each other at first. I had to kind of wiggle them in opposing directions to get them to move freely and independently.carytheone wrote:Maybe? I checked mine and erryting moves independently. Also, isnt that the first offical confirmation for WFC Ratchet? We've known about the Database listing, but this is the first actual word about it?

The chest piece will fall off. It doesn't have a pin to secure it to that hinge, unfortunately. However, knowing of the issue ahead of time, I was able to transform it back and forth with it only falling off completely once and partially another time. It's about the only objective flaw of the figure for me, honestly. There are, of course, some deco difference I would have preferred, such as leaving the nosecone gray (not blue), painting Starscream's face a darker shade of silver, putting a little bit more of the red striping on the underside of the wings, etc.

My hope is that the 10-pack will include missing members for the Micro Master team 2-packs released already. In other words, this might be how we get the likes of Free Wheeler, Tailspin, Sidetrack, Sunrunner, Nightflight, Tailwind, Fixit, Seawatch, Detour, Road Hugger, Mudslinger, Tote, Buzzsaw, Rumble, or Frenzy.

Do we really have any new information about what these "Special Edition" versions of Siege Optimus Prime and Megatron will really be? We can speculate that they won't have battle damage paint apps, but I don't think we know for absolutely sure.

Based on the photoshopped cut-outs shown briefly at Toy Fair, we can probably assume they'll be decoed to look cel-shaded, but we can't really say for sure until we get more info.

I did try to paint the face myself but the paint on Starscream kinda comes off easily. I have a second one on the way so now my current Starscream has a black face. Also the screw in the back of the head is in very tight so I lost most of the light piping lol

I'd have to look back to be sure, but I think those "cel-shaded cutouts" were nothing more than existing stock art of G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron. In other words, someone at Hasbro grabbed something at hand and didn't include something that is a mock-up directly of what either of these figures will actually be.

The art standing on top of the boxes were stylized stock art, but the cut-outs inside the boxes were photoshops of the stock renders of Siege Optimus and Megatron, made to look cel-shaded and colored more like the cartoon (note cel-shaded shine on Optimus' chest windows and white legs instead of gray).

That's a much higher res picture than I remember seeing weeks ago. Thanks for that! I wouldn't be too sure that the figures themselves will be "cel-shaded" just because of the white streaks on Optimus Prime's windows. That's just to show transparency on an opaque image, like that cardboard cutout. The windows themselves on the figure proper may simply be translucent light blue plastic as usual. Likewise, Megatron's legs might be done in a shiny gun-metal gray paint. I do agree that we're likely getting the Sunbow animation colors on these guys, which I am all for.

During the course of this Twitter thread, we get some awesome new shots of the Leader Galaxy Prime, which include some in box shots, a nice look at the packaging, some vanilla robot mode and super powered up robot mode shots, and some comparisons to both the Siege Voyager Prime, and also to some of the Unicron Trilogy Prime figures.
While the figure is a bit smaller than its Cybertron daddy, it certainly appears to line up well with the Unicron Trilogy aesthetic, granting the Unicron Trilogy Prime some long awaited love that hopefully continues to expand as the War for Cybertron progresses.

Eh, the original's chest windows weren't fake per se. It's just that, rather than them being from a windshield, they were instead windows that came from the sides of the truck. The person who took the above photos merely forgot to fold the windows out to the sides for the truck mode.JazZeke wrote:One amusing comparison I just noticed about Cybertron Optimus Prime vs. Siege WfC Galaxy Optimus Prime is that in the original, the shoulder pads are the real truck front and the chest is faux windows. In the remake, the shoulder pads are the faux parts and the chest is the real truck front.
Here's an example of the windows folded out correctly on the old toy:

...NO, no, I know 13 years of inflation have happened since 2006, but for $10 more than the original I still have? Absolutely not. Taking the wait-for-a-sale-and-see approach. If none occurs, this will likely be the only Siege toy I pass on.

The top half slides forward and back, other in hand photos have had it slid forward slightly line up his shoulders with his hips. These photos have him slid all the way back and leaning back.

Siege Cybertron Prime looks like a poor knockoff compared to the original. The plastic on the original looks better, the sculpt is cleaner and more defined and everything appears to peg together much better on the original. Plus the original has more accessories and light and sound gimmicks.
I can't help but feel a little sad that Siege Cybertron Prime is 2/3rds the size of the original with lower quality and basically the same price tag.

These are different toys though, and one is not meant to replace the other. Its just a new toy of that design (the third one, in fact). The whole point of this toy is that you can include this design within one's generations collection with the same level of articulation and scale at the rest of the line.
