While the original was more or less a straight redeco, there is some retooling in this set. Scylla has new upper arms, new head, new chest, new knees, and new thighs to make her appear more feminin.
Nautilator isn't part of this group though, which was expected.
Everything included is listed below. It will be sold as a whole set for 20000 Yen (around $190 USD) at the end of October 2020. For residents in Japan, it will only be sold through Takara Tomy Mall. For people outside Japan, it will be made available through various online retailers, as the previous Seacons were. The price will probably be around $200 USD. You can see images below after the description and we also have links to some new chapters of the Transformers Manga, thanks to Sabrblade.
Set contents: Half shell body x 1, Rifle (half shell) x 1, Sword (half shell) x 1, Shield (half shell) x 1, Sea Phantom body x 1, Gun (Sea Phantom) x 1, Sword (Sea) Phantom) x 1, Sea Lagon body x 1, Canon (Sea Lagon) x 2, Sword (Sea Lagon) x 1, Terramander (Body) x 1, Laser Rifle (Terramander) x 2, Beam Gun (Terramander) x 1, Sword (Terramander) × 1, skewer body × 1, gun (Scylla) × 2, sword (Scylla) × 1, fist for combining × 4, feet for combining × 2, instruction manual × 1
In addition, there are two more new manga chapters for God Neptune! Here are the links below as well as images we made of each page for your viewing pleasure. This comic features many Transformers characters from various Universes. Lots of eye candy in these comics. Thanks to Sabrblade for providing us with links to the comics.

This set will be mine! 2 beast combiners in a year! Yay!
And my BWII Galvatron and Gigastorm will finally have some large troops to command!
Much like Tentakil for King P, Scylla is my favorite of this set, she looks so good! I love that they did that remolding, they didn't need to, but they did.

Sabrblade wrote:It looks like this manga is continuing what was started in the e-HOBBY Magna Convoy manga in which Bludgeon was watching monitors that showed "The warriors who have inherited the Seven Lights divided from "The One"," and with this we see those seven groups each led by a Convoy or a Prime (the text uses either name for certain ones) and each possessing the White Matrix, the Green Matrix, the Red Matrix, the Yellow Matrix, the Black Matrix/Black Legendisc, the Purple Matrix, and the Silver Matrix of the Blue Corps.Skritz wrote:So wait is Primus calling some rainbow-hued Lantern Corps of Primes/Convoys redecos?
Another thing of note is that it looks like this manga has officially retconned TFTM by claiming that Unicron specifically used Angolmois Energy to upgrade Megatron and his fallen troops into Galvatron and Friends. This... actually isn't quite a new idea since, back in Beast Wars II, when Megastorm was upgraded into Gigastorm via Angolmois Energy, the same grid-based visual effect that accompanied Megatron's upgrade into Galvatron during the movie was also used for Megastorm's upgrade. This comic is just streamlining the similarities of those two events by making them both having used the same energy.
Skritz wrote:Btw judging at the thematic of each pic, I'd say 'Yellow Convoy' (the RiD2001 recolor) is female, as we have a precedent for that deco being a female Optimus Prime. As it happen, the two bots of her team in the back are also female. Seems like it all ties together.

Yeah, the storyline of this Selects manga has been pretty crazy. All of these colored-coordinated characters appear to not actually the characters that they resemble, but are instead members of a group called the Primus Vanguard, divided into seven units based on color: White, Green, Red, Yellow, Black, Purple, and Blue, and with each of these seven armies led by a Convoy or a Prime (both names are used in the text) who each bear a Matrix based on their respective color.Seibertron wrote:Interesting the SG Optimus Prime has G1 Bugly and Octopunch behind him, while on the monitor next to Cyberverse (?) Shockwave are the Transformers Animated creature versions of Bomb-Burst and Submarauder.
What's more, this world that everyone's currently fighting in is a world that has never been seen before in any TF fiction. It can best be described as some kind of primordial universe, as it is one that existed (and was ultimately destroyed) before the main Japanese G1 cartoon universe came into being. G1 Optimus Prime and Galvatron from the year 2011 were both transported back in time by Primus to the time before time, so to speak, arriving in this universe at some point before its end, and were both upgraded into Star Convoy and Super Megatron, respectively.
Primus has tasked Optimus, now Star Convoy, to defeat an enemy that is threatening to end this world before when it is supposed to end so that this world may reach its proper end that gives birth to the main universe that Optimus had originally come from, while Super Megatron (having evolved further into Ultra Megatron and Ultra Megatron Omega) is currently trying to change his own destiny after having previously learned of his fate to die during the events of the Headmasters cartoon.

Unfortunatly mine can't even stand up, he's so loose, I just hope they work out all the bugs from the last two for this set; but I must say, I'm liking scylla a lot

Bounti76 wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont think they retooled Scylla as much as it seems. The upper arms and knees are straight-up Moonracer/Lancer/Greenlight/Firestar. I think the head and torso are the only completely new parts that she has.
Hmm you may be right, still a new torso and head is good considering they didn't actually need to do any retooling.

Those sure are purdy colors. But I think I'll stick to my guns and not get them. I'm glad they made Scylla more feminine than Tentakill, though. Honestly, there needs to be more female Decepticons.

Speaking of which, I'd love to see a Gen Select Thunderblast. They could make on hell if a heavy retool of the Siege Chromia mold.

You're welcome!
Actually a couple thoughts, giving us 1 whole month to pre-order is a nice change from how the individual Seacons went down, especially the last 2 that Pulse forgot about until it was almost too late.
Also, the $14 savings over the individual prices (based on Pulse prices) is nice as well.
Edit: Also, says ready to ship around 10-24-2020, so taking into account the normal 3 week to 2 month delay for Hasbro receiving Takara efforts, maybe/hopefully for Christmas?

We also have word from AllNewSuperRobot that the UK pre-order is live now from In Demand Toys, and is available for £169.99 right now.
The due date for both of these releases is the end of October of this year, so hopefully only a 5 month wait for these splendid new space pirates!
We would also like to pass along, thanks to RiddlerJ, the news that the final 2 Seacon individual releases for King Poseidon are also now in stock and available on Pulse. You can find them at the links below
Tentakil: https://hasbropulse.com/collections/gen ... iranacon-6
Overbite: https://hasbropulse.com/collections/gen ... iranacon-5
Let us know what you think of these pre-orders below, and let us know if you intend to pick up this Beast Wars II Behemoth!

something like the TCC exclusive from a few years ago, with the window? (that's easily my favorite versions of this character, all six G1 molds in an incredibly nice box with great art!)
so probably not THAT nice a box, probably no windows, hopefully some cool art? but 5 in one box for sure?
the recent generations selects Seacons was a huge let down as far as box art goes. if they had just colored the slip cases in then it would have been a great set for display. but the black and white line art was a letdown for me. im happy I have all six figures but Im thinking of letting it go on eBay because they don't display well individually.
So box for sure with this one? hopefully with colored art!

Because there is no Lobclaw repaint in BWII.

I still think they'll eventually do a separate release of Red Lobclaw, for the Gimlet lover in BWII.Skritz wrote:KeyLargoLost wrote:why don't they just include a Lobclaw figure? they already have the mold. they just had to paint it and add it to the set and could have bumped the price up.

I'm actually disappointed that God Neptune is coming so soon, since I'm probably going to remain laid off until well after the lockdowns are lifted, and will have to pay secondary market prices for all 6 G1 Seacons later on, and there's no telling where or when those prices will stabilize given more pressing global economic concerns.
Posted by Rodimus Prime on May 15th, 2020 @ 11:12pm CDT
It would be cool if we can get a repainted Lobclaw as a standalone exclusive. Like it was said, the mold is already made. Is repainting it not worth the cash it would bring in? Personally, I don't know anything about BW2, but I think that version of the Seacons looks better than the pink and teal.Skritz wrote:KeyLargoLost wrote:why don't they just include a Lobclaw figure? they already have the mold. they just had to paint it and add it to the set and could have bumped the price up.

Yes originally God Neptune was going to be a 7 member team with Rockbuster ( a repaint of BW Predacon Razorclaw), but the idea was dropped, and Rockbuster ended up as a maximal in isolation in BW Neo.
