I just spotted this Give-away for a RID Power Surge Optimus (the big white one with wings) for Canada only.

http://feistyfrugalandfabulous.com/2016 ... /#comments

So I thought i'd mention it here especially as it might give you a giggle at the comments too.

I was tempted to sign up just to say to them - It looks nothing like a truck in truck mode the wings fall off very easily it makes sounds sometime even when you have barely touched it and they often have assembled the elbows upside down so the arms fall off.

Not to mention I can see some kids breaking his spear trying to get it out of his hand. what with that funny key shaped handle it has.

But I didn't want to burst the poor ladies nostalgia bubble.

That Comedy Giant Bumblebee might even be a better toy even if it is so over the top it illicits laughter in me when I think of it.

Guess I should, I've been meaning to get more RiD toys now like Windblade, despite passing on Bumblebee and Steeljaw last year. Can anyone post a pic of the sword in Warrior Prime's fist to see how it looks?
So I got these out and didn't even take a picture because you shouldn't do this. The handle is so long that the part which should fit snugly into the peg can't get there because of the truck grill gauntlets getting in the way.

Now, if you're open to chopping off part of the sword hilt or unscrewing the gauntlets a bit so they can rotate (if that even works), then it'd be a really cool look I think.

I have a Question for UK Board Members who have a local Entertainer store - have they seen the RID 4 packs and if so which one or ones.

So far the only one I know for sure they have is : the set which has :

Purple Decepticon Ball : Anvil - Who looks rather like a Pokemon Ghastly
White Ball (oddly marked as an Autobot) : Undertone
Red Deecepticon Ball (a bird) : Hammer (repainted item)
Red & grey Weapon (Autobot) Slipstream.

Has anyone seen any others than that one - if so which one/s

Thanks.

Our own ScottyP brings us this tasty sighting of Transformers Robots in Disguise themed Pez Dispensers from ToysRus in Raleigh, NC, and confirmed in PA too. Perfect for holiday stocking stuffers, we can see Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Grimlock are available for $2.29 each. They appear to be sculpted busts from the Robots In Disguise series - take a look below.

Should anyone be interested you might find they sell the Larger Bumblebee & Sideswipe with Mini-cons on sale in UK TK Maxx I just got them both for £12.99 each. They also had Combiner Wars Voyagers for £9.99 (but only Hotspot & Cyclonus).

Another oddity I noticed today was that The Hotspot ARGOS was selling (could be the one on it's own number they just added or it could be the generic voyager code) it was sealed in a shrink wrap cover. I've never seen that before - but it might be something they did at the warehouse for some inexplicable reason or other.

Still no sign of Titans Returns Voyager in any Argos stores around me though.

There's a Collector's Market for Pez Dispensers, don't you know? Not to mention my local Jo-Ann Fabrics and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry Transformers Pez of G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron. ;)

Just what is Crash Combiner Optimus Prime supposed to be in vehicle mode? :???:

Bumblebee looks... naked in both Classes, no black stripes. Activator Strongarm actually seems pretty cool with her gimmick, kinda the reverse of Cybertron Dirt Boss. :D

So a dump truck with a hole in the engine?

I know some people don't like Prime as a long nose but jeez you don't need to cut a hole out of him.

I honestly think it is the result of Hasbro trying to do too many things at once. They should have just stuck to combiner wars and kept RiD separate. It seems this could be a very fun concept but the proportions look really ugly.

Also I think the "cheap" happy meal toy feeling comes from the colors looking like they are under-painted. Bumblebee looks especially solid yellow in robot mode. I don't know about you, but for me I love when a figure has lots of colors and details.

I will say that Stuntwing and Trickout look really nice. Though I think their size and cuteness are winning them some points. I also think Strongarm has some great paint apps. Why can't the rest of them be painted that much? *grumbles*

Stuntwing and Trickout look moderately interesting, but the "expanding" gimmick looks dumb.

When Energon did the shirt/pants combiners they looked decent, these just look awful.

Looks like a hard pass on this sub-line.

There is a huge difference between these and the energon toys: The energon toys were the mainline toys. The energon line was made for everyone, kids and collectors. You didnt like the gimick, tough!

But this is whats replacing the one steps for the kids. I dont know why any of us care so much that they arent to our liking. The minaline toys are still around, we are getting super sweet new warriors and those who like seeker repaints are getting them too. These are just the next thing to get for people who liked the one steps.

Those of us who have been around a while know that some of these are meant for the younger crowd. But deep down we're also thinking, 'The crumb-crunchers and yard apes have the Rescue Bots - why can't we have everything else?'

And I admit, these 'combiner force' things don't do anything for me based on looks alone. How does sideswipe feel about being Bumblebee's PANTS? These don't look any better than the 'Power Core Combiner' line...

Actually, I should throw in my two bits on the Combiner Force. I think it's great that they're adding Combiners to the TFP/RID universe; but by Primus's right nostril do those things look bad. Remember the Animated Happy Meal toys? Those were good. Really good (and surprisingly going for high prices on eBay). And they were better looking than these! That's not a combiner! It's Bumblebee with different colored legs! It's like those paper dolls with the different clothes and legs and- I'm going to stop myself from going into an hour long rant. Seriously though!? How can there be something that looks worse than the 1 steps! I'd forgive the bad altmodes if the combined form looked better, but it's not! These looked better when they were first shown, though it may have been bad lighting. I've seen carwash KO's that look better than these!

Give him a missile launcher and a radar dish and that would work. And maybe a satellite alt-mode. And Dr. Claw's voice (And yes, I know Welker has voiced almost every single incarnation of Soundwave whose appeared on screen). Actually, Welker apparently did some sound effects for him in Prime. Think he'll finally get a voice here?

Given that Welker voiced him in Prime, Welker was seen in the RiD booth doing some voices, and the fact that he is getting a new toy, it is entirely possible Soundwave will come back and talk again. then again, Megatron could be coming back and Welker is voicing him, but it's all up in the air

looks like strongarm is the pants in that relationship

Please people If you are going to quote other people just to make a joke or make a reply to images for crying out loud please delete the images that are not relevant to your reply. The previous page is the same images over and over and over and it looks so messy and any comments get lost in the sea of images.

To make that gag all that was needed was the final picture. or indeed for me to comment that Optimus now has lady parts.

If they're interchangeable, anyone can have lady parts

btw the blue parts look like they can be swung down to form proper feet.

While there are of course the much bigger negatives, something that's nagging me about these figures are the heads. Now, obviously, they're supposed to be a mix-and-match of the components' heads with the head of the 'shirt' being the more prominent. Bumblebee with Sideswipe's mask and Optimus with Strongarm's head details, essentially.

But aren't these supposed to be mix and match, rendering that little detail kind of moot and nonsensical? So when you get both sets and put Bumblebee on Strongarm, the face is... still a mix of Bumblebee and Sideswipe. I don't know, just a little detail that's bothering me.

Because the primary audience for this show is little kids? The same audience of the brand as a whole? Honestly, :HASBRO: shows tons of love to it's older audience, far more than most other companies.

Yeah, Combiner Wars and Titans Return are a big throwback to G1. Plus they have details that older fans love. Which is why I am not mad that a lot of the RiD stuff is kind of cheesy. Transformers is an all-ages series but at it's core it is for children/teens.

I will say that the RiD line has had more good figs than I expected it to. Warrior class Thunderhoof would probably be my favorite. I don't own any of the others but a lot of them look really good. I'll def be getting the Warrior Ratchet when he shows up at my retail or a reasonable price online.

they forgot to fold down strongarm's feet for combined mode. you can see the blue parts are attached to hinges.

You read that title right, the latest Robots in Disguise Warrior figures have been found at retail. A toysrus in Glendale, Arizona, to be precise. It was even found during their Buy One Get One 40% off sale (which is happening right now, if you were unaware). This is wave 10 in the warriors class and it is currently unavailable for preorders online. What is most interesting is that the phots provided by TFW2005 user Rabble show the rest of the wave. So along with Stormshot, Blastwave and a white redeco of Drift, this wave also includes a rerelease of Strongarm and a rerelease of the previously exclusive Starscream. It is unclear if this Starscream is different from the Clash of the Transformers Toysrus figure. There can be other rereleased figures part of this wave but that is also unconfirmed. They all sport a new Combiner Force logo on the box, highlighting the 2017 subline.

Blastwave has Bludgeon's head instead of the one seen in his artwork.

I dont know how noteworthy this is, but if you take the UPC codes and look em up on Amazon, you find that Stormshot is labelled as Skyfire :-?
So would this be the RID take on Jetfire?
