These were released in the rest of the world ages ago, but they were never available online or at brick and mortar in the US previously.

Judging by the picture above, Crazybolt is a muscle car, like Bumblebee. His robot mode from all angles clearly shows that he is actually a reptile of some sorts. Is he a type of lizard or a Dinobot like Grimlock? According to Shuttershock, he illustrated RID Crazybolt as a dinosaur called a Dilophosaurus, and the the original Beast Wars Crazybolt as a frilled dragon, due to his looks and size. What do you think?

Looks like some sort of iguana or monitor lizard, he has a very similar mouth to the monitor family, especially the gila monster

Is he most likely a lizard such as the iguana, monitor lizard, Gila monster, or a dinosaur called Dilophosaurus as Shuttershock once stated? Which one is it?
Dunno
Most of the 'cons released have only been generic animals; We don't know what species of wolf steeljaw is, and others only have aspects of an animal in their design (thunderhoof) so I'd imagine that it's just meant to be a generic lizard.

psj333 wrote:Well, Hellscream9999, given the image of Crazybolt's head, you will notice there is a body part attached to the top of the head that resembles a crown, which suggest he a dinosaur called Dilophosaurus and not a lizard. This means that his robot mode is mostly based on this:

Still not seeing it on the deployer - and the starter has a mask, it's shaped all wrong for the dino theory. First of all, he's a quadruped, that alone breaks the tie to the dinosaur for me. As for the head, those three horns are far more noticeable than the gold thing on the deployer, that plus the head shape and width makes me think of a horned lizard. As for the starter, nothing about it says dinosaur to me, I get more of a predatory cat or lizard from it; he looks like a very stylized horned lizard to me, he even has horns covering his face.

That's what I'm going off of...
This:
Does not look remotely like this:
It looks much more like this:
Worked this up, if you still think it's a dino after this, I don't know what to tell you:

As for what kind of (vomiting) lizard he is, maybe something like his namesake, the Predacon Crazybolt of Beast Wars Neo?

No prob
based on his namesake, and the general design - as pointed out in my convenient graphic - I think it's safe to say that they are both loosely based on lizards of some sort

Isn't psychopath the genaric/default personality for Decepticons?
I would think lizardy is less of a personality telltale than a name like Crazybolt.
Most of the cons are pretty shallow one shot characters on that show anyway. They're just bad guyz doing bad things 'cause that's all they knows how to do. to be read in Thunderhoof's voice

Got mine; Love him so much, he's so dynamic, his weapon is amazing - props to chuck for pointing out the butt of the gun can sit naturally under his arm
And, yes, we do need more of warriors like this, so very much.

You mean titanium The Fallen? Definitely; he's fun, poseable, has a functioning turret - with no sacrifices, plus two heads for your liking

william-james88 wrote:While initial reception on the new Robots in Disguise toyline was lukewarm, it really seems to have found it's footing and the mincons' welcome return into the fiction and toyline (albeit reinvented) is a big help. Seibertron was lucky to get the new four pack in and take some prelminary pictures of them in their box. We had perviously only seen 3d toy models so this gives us a better idea of the deco and detail. This set (W1 341148) includes Backtrack, Swelter, Beastbox ad Scorch Strike. Enjoy!
Lukewarm is a very diplomatic way to say it

Here
and
Here
$34 does seem a little pricey, but with no scale for reference, I guess I can't really say that... yeah, no, they want $120 for a set of deluxe limbs, no way I'm buying anything from them

Legends (Commander)=$10
Minicon + armor = $3 to $5

I had more been thinking $29.99 for the same reasons, minicons being $5 and commanders being $10. maybe even a smidge cheaper being they are a set, but oh well. these are more prices I would see BBTS having.

I think you even get more out of this than a deluxe since you get 2 transforming figures plus armour which can merge into a weapon. The deluxe grimlock didnt even have a weapon.

I think Chuck was just saying that Entertainment Earth is an expensive place to buy things so their price may not be reflective of what the same item would cost in Target or Walmart.
I appreciate the "Commander" class RID items even is some of them are a little redundant - I would be doing what I have to do with the Legends/Basic class and split them into two collections.
For example Optimus/Starscream/Megatron/Acid Storm/Thundercracker/Optimus/Skywarp would be used as "larger" toys and apired with the likes of Legion/Legends class toys from some years ago like : Hound, Bumblebee, Beachcomber.
Where as : Groove, Warpath, Bumblebee, Gears, Swerve, Tailgate, Windcharger, Huffer, Pipes, Viper, Cosmos, & Powerglide fit into the Minibot scale when taken with a Deluxe... those would for exmple Go OK with Jet Bomber Megatron & Orion Pax.
Rodimus, Scrapnel & Bombshell can be either or.
So the same idea with RID-15/16 would be that Optimus & Grimlock would be leadership characters paired with Legion Bumblebee/Sideswipe etc..
Where as the new Bumblebee & Sideswipe would be the smaller characters I'd use with the warrior Megatronus & Optimus toys. (but legions work well for that too in vehicle mode at least - not so much in robot mode).
So I will need to see them as 2 things just like I feel the need to do with the previous Legends/Basic toys that represent bigger and smaller characters in the same price point.
I don't find that a distraction though.

SillySpringer wrote:Why are these Minicons' colors SO WRONG?
becasue these are essentially redecos and the colours on the box are of the original characters. I am just assuming this on Beast box being the case and turning it into a blanket statement.
