Comics Continuum has posted a 30 second preview of the next new episode of Transformers Prime, "Sick Mind", scheduled to air Saturday, April 30 at 7PM (ET). Click here to watch or take a look at the embedded video below!

Well, at least it seems to be an original name instead of a rehash of some existent disease.

I tell ya, whatever goes on in this episode, it's gonna be very tough to top last week's episode. I mean, "Predatory" was the best episode of this series yet. Quite possibly this show's first "quality episode", going above and beyond the standard episode formula that we've seen in this show until then. I want more episodes like that one. This new episode, however, will have serious difficulty in making such an impression.

Did anyone notice what appears to be Bumblebee's voice. At the tail end when it zooms to his eyes, you hear a voice that is unlike any voice we have heard in the series yet. Also, remember that Bumblebee in G1 had superior visual abilities in addition to a fuel efficient body which is why his job was a scout. I am really hoping we hear Bumblebee's real voice and none of this R2-D2 nonsense.

I thought about that at first, but then I listened to it again and it's really Ratchet's voice being spoken in a different tone.

They previously said that they'd go into Bumblebee's voice issue during the show's second season.

I think it's more like whatever BB sees is shown on screen on the monitors at the Autobot base, so that Ratchet can guide both BB and Arcee through the Nemesis's corridors.

So, they just go to the Nemesis again? Just bridge there like goin' to a mall? Why not then just cripple their ship and then bridge it to alaska or Artic ocean. (Oh, right. I rmemeber.)

Still, they could just cripple it so it would crash and go BOOM! Presumably over an ocean so that humans would have no evidence or sighting of it. Seein' how Cybertronians don't make well in Artic temperatures so Artic ocean would be perfect: even if they'd survive the crash, they'd still freeze till offline (Just like Arcee and Prime would have and Scraplets did.)

Then again that would pretty much reduce the Decepticons Drones numbers from possible few hundred to only several or few dozen. And since the autobots can slag the drones pretty easily as seen on few episodes, that would mean that the D'Cons would pretty much be slagged.

Still, they could cripple Nemesis enough to ground it permanently. (Or at least for long enough to start a new crime-spree to steal construction supplies.)

Do you really think that just Arcee and Bumblebee alone have the means do disable the whole Nemesis by themselves? And without getting caught by any of the many Vehicon troops onboard?

First off, I'm guessing it is spelled Cybonic Plague. Second, you must never have heard of the Bubonic Plague. Third, it is my guess that Ratchet is going to take control of BB rather than just see what he sees. This would explain the voice at the very end. Lastly, this is not an original concept. It was done plenty of times in G1, one of which was specifically just Optimus Prime, as well as in other TF shows.

Btw, I agree with Ryan that this was seen in Beast Wars, since the fact that Optimus Primal went berserk was not the Predacon's plot. Also, even though it made him go berserk, it made him malfunction and caused the Maximals to go on the offensive to retrieve the cure.

I'm also wondering why it is you are giving the roll your eyes emoticon to the founder of this forum website.

Okay, so maybe not the two of 'em alone, but if they'd bring Bulkhead then the only real threat would be: Starscream, Soundwave, Breakdown, Knock out-

So yeah, we saw how they scrapped the Vehicons aboard Nemesis in "The Darkness Rising Pt 4". But it does take more effort to defeat Knock Out and Breakdown. Screamer and Wavevy are unknown since they've never really been on close-combats (Except for SS, who got kicked by Wheeljack.)

Still, you would think that getting into Decepticons flagship should be harder than that: Bulkhead simply drove up the hill and jumped aboard it, Jackie and Arcee Bumblebee got bridged there (Technically Jackie did get bridged back and RC & BB have yet to warp).

Being as it is now just past 8pm, on the 30 of April, This trailer is about a week off. This week was Convoy,next week will be Sick Mind I must say this series is almost as addicting as the original G1, however I find the animation of GI Joe: Renegades just a little more organic. Hand-drawn, while I know both are computerized.

A plague from Cybertron!... again. And they have to get inside the Nemesis!... again. But in order to do it they have to defeat a large number of Vehicones!... again. And let me guess, all will be fine by the end of the episode... again.
Although Megatron is supposed to appear in the following episode, right? Maybe Sick Mind won´t be as predictable after all.

You do realize that commercials can edit things together to give a false impression. That voiceover of Ratchet's was just that, a voiceover. We cannot say for certain what it signifies, other than that Ratchet may be forming some kind of remote connection with BB's optics from the base.

When did G1 Optimus Prime become internally sick with a disease that left him bedridden?

While the berserker effect may have been unintentional, the intended purpose of Scorponok's virus was to make Primal weak and cowardly like a little child. It instead did just the opposite. While it also may have been intended to kill him gradually, that wasn't the virus's only intention, as is seen here with this new plague.

Not to mention how tough the Vehicons already are by themselves. Sure they get beaten a lot, but they don't go down that quickly. It takes a while for them to fall in close-quarter combat.

Your statement of it being a new name was not specifically to the TF universe and, therefore, I was stating to you that they got the name of it from the Bubonic Plague. I was not intending to be rude, but I think it is hypocritical for you to say that I was being rude. Yes, we are all human beings on this site with the same rights. Yes, Ryan, you, and I have the same freedom of speech (and type), but I think it was uncalled for to give him a roll your eyes emoticon just because you disagree with his statement. I would have thought it rude if it had been to any other poster as well. If you want to continue stating that other posters are incorrect, then that is fine with me, but you have, in my opinion, come across as arrogant and/or condescending at times.

As for this "Sick Mind" plot, it is true that the exact specifics have never been done. However, as Ryan, I, and others have been stating, the main idea of Optimus being in danger from an illness or malfunction and other Autobots/Maximals going to the Decepticons/Predacons base to retrieve something to save him has been done over and over.

Well, when I use this eyeroll smilie ( :roll: ), it's more of a neutral expression than if I were to use this eyeroll smilie ( 8-| ) that conveys more of the feeling that you assumed I was thinking when I used the first one. I use either to differentiate the two feelings, yet it was the first one I used. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

So... what's the problem? Since it's been done so much, we ought to expect it to happen. Though, it is still good that the specifics do differ, otherwise it'd get old if there were little-to-no difference each time. ;)

Looks like Optimus might begin to show some real emotion in this one, instead of always looking so stoic all the time. Though, he did kinda show a bit of sadness over Megatron's apparent "passing" in episode 6, but that was very minimal and was quickly brushed off by the mild explosion of Raf's science project.

Sabrblade and I had let it go quite awhile ago. You are now bringing up my post for no reason. It doesn't make any sense to bring something up just to tell the original poster to let it go. I wasn't posting about it anymore. Besides, the majority of Sabrblade and my post interactions on this thread have still been about the episode preview. Instead of asking what everyone else thinks about the preview (since we have been posting what we think already), perhaps you would like to comment on your thoughts of it.

Wooooh, glad you picked up on the sarcasm, there! I was worried for a second.

Nevertheless, this is far more reminiscent of "Cosmic Rust" but from an Autobot perspective, than anything Beast Wars, in my opinion. However, I think that from an artistic and entertainment perspective, we benefit more from viewing this from within its own lens than by way of comparison. In other words, as unique as Beast Wars was from G1, Prime is likewise from its predecessors. With the threat of "plague" being a common plot device in much of storytelling at large, I think we should keep that in mind.

No one brought that up at all. :roll:

Besides, I really wouldn't mind if he did kick the bucket. This Optimus is bland, boring, and dull. He was far more interesting in Exodus, but he has since lost that endearing quality of a new leader who just wants to make things right for everyone, including his enemies. At the point, OP takes "stoic" to the letter and can't seem to even spit out some genuine emotion. :sad:

Unless they decide to give Optimus some actual character, the less of him there is, the better. :-|

After all, he'd just come back later anyway. ;)
