Still, they could just cripple it so it would crash and go BOOM! Presumably over an ocean so that humans would have no evidence or sighting of it. Seein' how Cybertronians don't make well in Artic temperatures so Artic ocean would be perfect: even if they'd survive the crash, they'd still freeze till offline (Just like Arcee and Prime would have and Scraplets did.)
Then again that would pretty much reduce the Decepticons Drones numbers from possible few hundred to only several or few dozen. And since the autobots can slag the drones pretty easily as seen on few episodes, that would mean that the D'Cons would pretty much be slagged.
Still, they could cripple Nemesis enough to ground it permanently. (Or at least for long enough to start a new crime-spree to steal construction supplies.)

First off, I'm guessing it is spelled Cybonic Plague. Second, you must never have heard of the Bubonic Plague. Third, it is my guess that Ratchet is going to take control of BB rather than just see what he sees. This would explain the voice at the very end. Lastly, this is not an original concept. It was done plenty of times in G1, one of which was specifically just Optimus Prime, as well as in other TF shows.
Btw, I agree with Ryan that this was seen in Beast Wars, since the fact that Optimus Primal went berserk was not the Predacon's plot. Also, even though it made him go berserk, it made him malfunction and caused the Maximals to go on the offensive to retrieve the cure.
I'm also wondering why it is you are giving the roll your eyes emoticon to the founder of this forum website.

Okay, so maybe not the two of 'em alone, but if they'd bring Bulkhead then the only real threat would be: Starscream, Soundwave, Breakdown, Knock out-

So yeah, we saw how they scrapped the Vehicons aboard Nemesis in "The Darkness Rising Pt 4". But it does take more effort to defeat Knock Out and Breakdown. Screamer and Wavevy are unknown since they've never really been on close-combats (Except for SS, who got kicked by Wheeljack.)
Still, you would think that getting into Decepticons flagship should be harder than that: Bulkhead simply drove up the hill and jumped aboard it, Jackie and Arcee Bumblebee got bridged there (Technically Jackie did get bridged back and RC & BB have yet to warp).

You do realize that commercials can edit things together to give a false impression. That voiceover of Ratchet's was just that, a voiceover. While the berserker effect may have been unintentional, the intended purpose of Scorponok's virus was to make Primal weak and cowardly like a little child. It instead did just the opposite. As for this "Sick Mind" plot, it is true that the exact specifics have never been done. However, as Ryan, I, and others have been stating, the main idea of Optimus being in danger from an illness or malfunction and other Autobots/Maximals going to the Decepticons/Predacons base to retrieve something to save him has been done over and over.

Sabrblade and I had let it go quite awhile ago. You are now bringing up my post for no reason. It doesn't make any sense to bring something up just to tell the original poster to let it go. I wasn't posting about it anymore. Besides, the majority of Sabrblade and my post interactions on this thread have still been about the episode preview. Instead of asking what everyone else thinks about the preview (since we have been posting what we think already), perhaps you would like to comment on your thoughts of it.

Nevertheless, this is far more reminiscent of "Cosmic Rust" but from an Autobot perspective, than anything Beast Wars, in my opinion. However, I think that from an artistic and entertainment perspective, we benefit more from viewing this from within its own lens than by way of comparison. In other words, as unique as Beast Wars was from G1, Prime is likewise from its predecessors. With the threat of "plague" being a common plot device in much of storytelling at large, I think we should keep that in mind.

Besides, I really wouldn't mind if he did kick the bucket. This Optimus is bland, boring, and dull. He was far more interesting in Exodus, but he has since lost that endearing quality of a new leader who just wants to make things right for everyone, including his enemies. At the point, OP takes "stoic" to the letter and can't seem to even spit out some genuine emotion.
Unless they decide to give Optimus some actual character, the less of him there is, the better.
After all, he'd just come back later anyway.
