But hey, June's back.

It's a simple question. How would she possibly know that the Omega Lock would affect Earth differently form Cybertron?PrymeStriker wrote:Another example Miko doesn't use her brain.
Only thing I can find wrong with her asking it was her delivery, which sounded a bit too calm for the severity of the situation. Granted ,she did sound concerned, but the worry is still a bit on the subtle side.

What baffles me is how she came up with such a dumb question in the first place. Megatron just took over Cybertron, the Autobots are held prisoner, Optimus says "No" in worry right after a bridge is opened preparing for the Omega Lock's beam, and the Omega Lock is supposed to be a good thing for Earth? She can't put the puzzle pieces together?

Overall, she is a character trying to [pathetically] move the story along by asking some questions the audience might ask.

Look, I'm not saying Miko should've already known that the Omega Lock would destroy all of Earth's indigenous life. I'm saying that she shouldn't have been as optimistic as she was about what the Decepticons are doing with her planet.

You're missing my point. Aside from what the character is feeling, the writers are using Miko to have the audience understand what's going on.

She wasn't optimistic at all, she is a frightened child trying to make sense of a situation where she has zero control.

Optimistic? There was a sense of hesitance, confusion, and subtle worry in her tone. She asked out of bewilderment and fearful concern.PrymeStriker wrote:I'm saying that she shouldn't have been as optimistic as she was about what the Decepticons are doing with her planet.
Listen to her dialogue again. Her delivery was anything but cheerful.
She just didn't ask the question in one of those cliche, over-the-top, cartoony, "PANIC PANIC WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!" spats that children's entertainment has so accustomed us to in situations like these. Sometimes, mere concern is all that's needed.

She said that if the Omega Lock could restore Cybertron that it should do the same for Earth. Whether this was right or not, she was hoping this was the case. While she was probably still frightened, she came off to me as being optimistic, to whatever little or big degree.

The "right" is the key here. She's asking for reassurance that everything will be alright, which is what any frightened person would ask for in such a situation.
And you are completely ignoring her facial expressions and body movements, which show obvious signs of fear and uncertainty.
Look, I'm not all that fond of Miko either, but I don't bash her for the sake of bashing her, which is what this very much feels like.

I'm not bashing her just for the hell of it. I hate it when any character does this. I understand why it's done, from a writer's viewpoint, but it always makes me feel like the character is asking a stupid question (scared or not).

So season 2 hasn't ended yet?
When is it time to start torrenting the series? Will there be a season 3?

No. This is the last episode of season 2. Last season ended in October. This one ends in early November. But we had a long summer break.

Season 3 is coming some time in 2013. This time with the sub-title "Beast Hunters" and 13 or 16 episodes instead of 26 like the first two seasons.
Prime is supposed to last until 2015. Whether that's the toyline or show is up for debate right now. Jeffrey Combs hinted at a fourth season, too.

It was on dutch television, saturday morning 07:00 or something like that. Horrible dutch voices (Y U NO use subtitles? oh yes, dutch kids can't read dutch eventhough they can speak english)

Truly, we should be glad there are any left given this season's penchant for thoughtlessly killing Decepticon fan favorites...

Yet, Megatron asked for reinforcements after those events, and we saw some Vehicons hanging around Starscream right after he does.

Her question was perfectly valid as it provided the necessary exposition to the audience. Any one of the kids could have asked it any would have gotten the same effect.PrymeStriker wrote:njb902 wrote:Which is something you would expect a frightened child to do

If I were in one of those canisters, I would have asked the same question. Though I might have rephrased it a bit (like, "If the Omega Lock is used on Earth, what's gonna happen to it?" or something), but I'd darn well want to know what that madman was going to do to my homeworld. Especially if he went to such trouble to hunt me down, capture me, bring me to another world, and threaten to kill me as part of a ransom. I would be scared and fearful for myself and for my home.
It also bears a striking resemblance to Project: Genesis from the Star Trek movies, only a Cybertronian equivalent that uses mechanical life instead of organic life.LiverMatrix wrote:Is it just me that thinks the Omega Lock appears to be riffing on the Key to Vector Sigma with the whole 'changing Earth to its new Technological Matrix and destroying indigenous life' thing?

One of the key word was "Gee." If in the last video the Autobots and humans were captured, how do you conclude I would ignore that and find any surprise in this promo snap, which just mirrors the aforementioned clip?
The expression on the sipping coffee emoticon said a lot as well.
And my "wall of text" was split into two "walls," the second one suggesting I was speaking in spite of the first with "nonetheless."

Well, if the Hub is anything like it's G2 counterpart here in the Aligned continuity family, that system would be cyberformed. Then again, I'm not sure if you would consider it a planet.
I would assume that Velocitron and Gigantion are cyberformed, but like the Hub, we haven't seen these planets in the Aligned continuity family yet. Only read about them.
