That video interview Ryan and Jon had with Tania Gunadi and Josh Keaton had them hinting at Miko having gone from being comic relief into a serious character, even as far as season 3.njb902 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:This is it. I knew Bulkhead was going to get his ass whooped! I'm so happy!
...*cough*, okay, okay. Well, I'd like to see Bulkhead return by the end of Season 2 to fight MECH Breakdown.
Honestly, I could care less if he dies, but it would be...cool..if.....he....oh who am I kidding. Kick Bulkhead out and bring in Wheeljack!

Actually, I meant that the descriptions for many episodes of the series don't usually explain everything. (Yeah that doesn't make sense.) Example: Miko and Wheeljack embark on a quest for revenge. That could mean two things such as bulkhead recovering and them wanting payback, or him dieing and them wanting blood (or in this case energon). Sorry for the confusion.

Ironhide ain't a Wrecker.
Actually, I didn't know Ultra Magnus was a member. I was trying to hint at Wheeljack getting shafted as well, to make way for whatever new characters/toys the show needs. Poor research and writing on my end.
If Miko becomes a more serious character, losing Bulkhead could be the push over the edge; but losing BH's best friend in the process could be the impact.

Remember when optimus prime said that the wreckers got killed off mainly because there too rash in there actions.
And wheeljack being like that he would probably end up fighting to many decepticons

Well, Shockwave appearing in the show at a later point is a known fact. But, as to what exactly he'll be doing, that remains unconfirmed.TFMelissa wrote:sounds cool but not to get anyones hopes up but i've heard that shockwave is to appear in later episodes if not episode 16 and i've also heard that he is going to try to take over the decepticons by killing megatron

Is Ultra Magnus turning up in Prime? or just a rumour. It'd be quality if he did!

Ultra Magnus, nor Ironhide, have been confirmed for Prime.

I said they weren't confirmed, which is the reason for the "nor" in the sentence.

What would you have liked me to say? Ultra Magnus, nor Ironhide, haven't been confirmed for Prime? That doesn't make grammatical sense. The "nor" part of the sentence is really all that is needed for you to know I'm saying that they were not confirmed for Prime.
Sabrblade wrote:My bad. Read "nor" as "not".

I think he's asking for a "Neither" to be placed at the beginning of the sentence, as the "nor" by itself looks odd.PrimeStriker wrote:What would you have liked me to say? Transformers Prime

That just furthers my point. They create an interesting character with a backstory and began to expand upon him for a little bit, then he gets ignored, and then they kill him off.buddhaquest wrote:Sabrblade wrote:This just reaffirms that this show has no guts.

I agree with you there Saberblade. I've loved TF Prime as a series so far, but I've felt there are many characters that are stuck in a rut. Be it Arcee, who quickly went from interesting in the first season, to a predictable loose canon in the second, or Breakdown, who was looking to be a complex Decepticon, maybe even calling in question of his allegiance in the future, and they take him out without even having it tie into him and Bulkheads rivalry.
I can't say I wanted Bulkhead to die, and the character is one of the better ones (I'd hate to be stuck with just Ratchet as the last interesting Autobot) but still, I'd like to see more depth. Get some of these characters out of this rut of storytelling.
And kill of Rafe. I can't tell you how much I hate Rafe.

I tell ya, with Bulkhead, the writers seem to have written themeselves into a corner.Lord Onixprime wrote:I've loved TF Prime as a series so far, but I've felt there are many characters that are stuck in a rut. If they kill him off, it would create a sense of emotional shock among the Autobots and shift the show into a new status quo. BUT, at the same time, it would also just further erase the interesting backstory he and Breakdown shared with their rivalry that show had been building upon ever since Breakdown showed up, and then completely dropped after Breakdown got canned.
And with the other way of keeping him alive, it would keep the possibility of exploring said backstory alive and open, BUT it would also keep the show at its exact same status quo it's had for the majority of its run and would rob the show of the opportunity of having a dramatic game changer for the Autobots to forward their development as a whole.
Stalemate.
Best they could do is to at least have Bulkhead gain a permanent handicap from this experience so as to have both a shift in the status quo with a shock drama moment for the 'Bots, and them still be able to visit his backstory.
Don't know who that is, but Raf is here to stay.Lord Onixprime wrote:And kill of Rafe. I can't tell you how much I hate Rafe.

Prime is just dull, which is one of the worst things you can say about any example of media. The Autobots themselves aren't great, and the most interesting Decepticons got little screentime. The humans are friggin' annoying.
As for not killing off Bulkhead, I'm not surprised. Prime doesn't really take many chances, it only appears that they do. Breakdown, Skyquake, and Cliffjumper were all minor characters.
It makes the most sense for Bulkhead to be threatened, as he's the least developed character next to Bumblebee, who's practically mute. He's also the only character on the cast without a G1 analogue, and he just feels non-essential. Arcee's the token girl, Prime's the leader, Ratchet's plot exposition, and Bumblebee's the kid appeal character.
