Take this with a healthy dose of salt, but the Transformers Prime "Robots in Disguise" main line may have been found in the US. eBay seller vheryan27 has listed auctions for Deluxe "Robots in Disguise" Soundwave and Cliffjumper in domestic packaging, and claims they were purchased at a California Toys"R"Us location. As you can see in the images mirrored below from the two auctions, the packaging differs from the multi-lingual style that was recently released in the UK and bears the Hub promo sticker. You California members might want to keep an eye out.
Update: .....and it's confirmed! Transformers Prime "Robots in Disguise" Deluxe wave 1 is in the US. The Allspark member Demovere Xeno purchased Deluxe Wheeljack at a Toys"R"Us location in San Mateo, CA. Get to hunting! What does this mean for the "First Edition" figures beyond wave 1 Deluxe?

Ahh well, there's no point in me going back to TRU till after I move. I know my one TRU here doesn't even have pegs for TFP, let alone the pegs they have for everything else is lacking. I'll wait two weeks and hope for the best. (edit: wow, : x = mad? why is that emoticon different every place i use it? i meant it just as ": x")

Hey, did the US even get the First Editions? Hopefully these show up in Canada soon.

I'm also not all that impressed with PRID, anyway.

Deluxe Starscream, Bumblebee and Arcee made it to TRU but in small quantities. The rest are a no show.

I'm happy for my cousins across the pond. And I don't mean that in a 'I feel superior' way: I still haven't bought any of the UK released figures.

Really annoying the rest of the FE's aren't out! What's the point in making them if you don't release them in the country your buisness is stationed >:[ I'm happy Canada got 'em but serisouly, it's like Hasbro is neglecting it's biological child, if you catch my meaning.

WHERE THE F**K ARE THE FIRST EDITIONS?
Yeah. You can take that shit back right now because I don't give a flying f**k until I get my first editions.

I wonder why BBTS doesn't have listings for these though. ever since I started working I was looking forward to just ordering mine to avoid the hassle, But they don't seem to get them first anymore. Hope that changes because my area usually sucks when it comes to getting any line past wave 3

You talking out of country or just in a shit location? Because 90% of the time for me to find ANYTHING other than movie toys I'll need to make a 30 minute drive minimum, or otherwise order it online. But if these things don't show up anywhere then I'll be hard pressed to to even get a good price on ebay.

Might have to sell off some Classics figures to make room on the shelf. Oh well, never really liked them anyway. Just cheap plastic.
I would just like to say...not really. The designs are a combined effort of 5 designers that did not work on the movies. There was a team of designers working with direction from the script writers and Hasbro to get their designs. Although Optimus shares some similarities, and Bumblebee continues to be a mute warrior, I think the similarities end there. PERSONALLY, the Prime design team managed to remove most of the things I did not like in the movieverse designs. The faces, crushed soda cans, gorilla arms and foul language. I do like Prime and the toys, but not because it has anything to do with the movies.

To be honest, outside of a few major aspects on Prime and BB the rest of the cast draws more from War for Cybertron when I look at them. Although I have to disagree about one thing you said, I don't think they did away with everything I disliked about movie designs, particularly BB's. I like how it looks and all, but Bumblebee got his name because he was a yellow beetle. I'm not saying he needs to be a Volkswagen specifically, that would be too geewun, I'm just saying when I think of Bumblebee I don't think Muscle Car, that's more like Hot Shot or Sideburn territory.

I just want these fragging things to start showing up, preferably the FE's, but I think that's asking a little much at this point -__-
If the Japanese one's were so blasted expesnive I've buy them but at about $45 for a single figure (a little less if I buy a bunch and combine the shipping) it's too much for my wallet... but that FE Cliffjumper is very, very tempting... if it weren't backordered >__< Fuu. Should have known Hasbro would be a prat and pull something like they did. Then again, knowing my luck, had I ordered one they would have shown up in stores -__-

Currently looking for FE Figss now, because (Almost) all the powerizers and Robots in disguise look like garbage! Megatron, Wheeljack, and the prototypes of skyquake, and knockout give me hope though, that with a mixed bag of Powerizer, FE, and RID, we can have the Perfect prime cast, but it'll be difficult to obtain them all...

Probably because the toys are geared for kids and kids like that sort of stuff.

It's spotty right now. You should probably call first. The nice people at my local TRU will put stuff on hold for me and I'm almost certain it's nationwide policy to hold items for 24 hours. Save you a useless trip.

WolfDawg wrote:Voyager SKU is 362813, Deluxe is 363356. I called my local TRU and they said it showed up as "Manifest Pending", which basically means the company has (thus far) made no plans to even ship the items to the store.
I can answer that for you. You might get them, but in smaller amounts. They're figuring out which store will get which allotment.
I called two TRUs and the one in Niles, Ohio said they are in the system, they are in the warehouse, but it's a much smaller order. They were given only what's in the system, nothing more.
And that number is? ...1,500 Deluxes. Not cases, but 1,500 figures, period. (Roughly the same amount for Voyagers, as well.) Sounds like a lot, right? Here's the catch. That 1,500 is for the entire distribution region. My region covers Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. (The same story for all distribution regions, it seems.) My region has 5 states, so that means 300 per state. Which is 37.5 cases per state, at 8 figures per case. There looks to be at least 30 stores in PA, alone. Some stores will get only one case with no restock until the end of the Spring season, which means around May/June. Some won't receive the cases at all.
High volume sales stores will receive them first, then the runner ups. Beyond that, if there's any left, the stragglers will receive what's left, if there is any.
So, if TRU was given a small amount, I wonder what it'll be for Target, K-Mart and Wal-Mart?
So... let's recap, shall we?
DOTM/Movie Trilogy has been pushed back to February. Not all molds accounted for, yet.
Prime First Edition has been released in certain areas, while others can piss off, basically.
PRID figures are coming, but in smaller numbers than usual. Some stores may not receive them this season.
Hasbro...WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
prowl123 wrote:Why does Hasbro have to put a stupid gimmick into every single toyline they make? Why can't we just have a straight-up no-gimmick toyline?
First Edition is what you're looking for, then.
Why they cut it down so much, I dunno. Makes no sense to have incredible molds, only to replace them with new ones that don't make a lick of sense and have more parts due to their stupid gimmicks.

As for the toys themselves, I've only opened the voyagers and Cliffjumper so far, but I am already a bit disappointed. I knew that they were going to be a bit smaller, but they also feel a lot cheaper. The plastic just doesn't feel as solid to me.

completely agree with prowl.. i mean.. isn't the transformation the gimmick.. there's no need for gimmicks.
have a transforming weapon.. not a weapon where you have to push a button for something to happen. it's a little ridiculous. focus more on the actual figure than the gimmick.
i have a good compromise.. give ALL the bumblebees a gimmick.. and leave the rest of them alone.
