Site sponsor Robotkingdom has posted in-package images of Transformers Prime Deluxe wave four. This wave includes three new figures; Dead End (Wheeljack repaint/remold), Shadow Strike Bumblebee (RID repaint), and the highly anticipated Airachnid. Robotkingdom currently has wave four sealed cases in-stock and ready to ship!
Robotkingdom wrote:Sealed case include:
TRA PRIME CLIFF JUMPER 1
TRA PRIME SOUNDWAVE 1
TRA PRIME KNOCKOUT 1
TRA PRIME AIRRACHNID 1
TRA PRIME SHADOW STRIKE BUMBLEBEE 2
TRA PRIME DEADEND 2
Long exposure to radiation and Dark Energon has changed DEAD END. The formerly talkative DECEPTICON mercenary now broods quietly in the shadows, staring hungrily at the power cores of his fellow warriors. He's always freaked out the AUTOBOTS, but now even his friends think he's scary.
Outfitted with new chameleon tech developed by AUTOBOT RATCHET, BUMBLEBEE finds he is free to to anywhere and do anything. As his high-tech paint shifts colors and patterns to hide him from view, he easily slips in behind an unwary DECEPTICON, and then moves to finish him off.
Conditioned to battle and hardship by her years spent hunting rare creatures across the depths of space, AIRACHNID is a primed and powerful warrior. She has returned to the service of MEGATRON after her long absence, determined to prove herself as a leader - no matter who she has to destroy to prove it.

Dead End looks halfway decent, would love see him in the show.
But as for Airachnid...
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

I don't think so mate, just her helicopter alt mode.
Out of interest, have you seen any wave 2 round your way?

Hmm, thats a shame. Maybe a voyager triple changer will come along.
If Soundwave is in wave 2 then I got him from an Asda near me but thats it. I have seen Wheeljack, Bumbleebee, Cliffjumper, Voyager Prime and Megatron at TRU.

I think Soundwave was wave in 1? Seems to be all BB's round here. Thanks again.

I've found Bulkhead, Starscream, Hot Shot, and Knock Out at ONE of my Wal Marts. All except Knock Out were at a Target three towns over.
No Vehicon yet, though.
Also, Soundwave was in Wave 1.

Wave 2 with Ratchet and Arcee has hit the UK only a few weeks ago. You should ask Pretender Skywarp to see if he's spotted anything new, he's only spotted Arcee so far.

Believe it or not, I can top that. My TRU here had 21 BBs and no other deluxes out two weeks ago. Surprisingly, they are now down to 16. I was stunned to find out that there were people who didn't have him yet...until I realized that I'd been bashing the case packing and the number of BBs so much that I forgot to get him myself.

We can at least agree they aren't consistent with each other, so much to a point where they could easily be taken as separate universes. They do have as many glaring differences as they do striking similarities.

Oh I'm serious.Sabrblade wrote:orangeitis wrote:Prime isn't in the same universe as WFC.
Are you saying that the G1 cartoon is in the same universe as the comic? Or hell, the Armada anime with it's comic?
While both may be in Aligned, they are obviously separate universes.

Oh I do like him, but I don't like the same mold twice on my shelf.
It's why I have Banzai-Tron and not Bludgeon (that, and the fact that it was easier to get the former in the UK), for example.

That Bumblebee isn't half bad actually. That the "black" looks grey-almost silver helps. It makes him look a bit like a bin man. Which is cool.
edit:I acutally held off from Wheeljack in the hopes he'd get a repaint, like the original BB became Hot Shot. The wacky repaints are great in this line. Bring on RAVE MEGATRON!

Nevertheless, that is what Dead end used to look like in the Aligned Continuity. The WFC/FOC bodies are what the characters looked like in the ancient past, while the Prime bodies are what they look like in the present.orangeitis wrote:Oh I'm serious.Sabrblade wrote:orangeitis wrote:Prime isn't in the same universe as WFC.

That's why I keep WFC and Prime separated by applying the concept of Time Streams. Same Universal Stream =/= Same Character.
Posted by Anonymous on May 28th, 2012 @ 12:18pm CDT
That makes no sense. The WFC designs are collectively a totally different aesthetic than the collective Prime designs.Sabrblade wrote:Nevertheless, that is what Dead end used to look like in the Aligned Continuity. Yes, I know they're millions of years apart, but we don't have evidence to show that Transformers in those two universes work that way. It's best not to jump to such conclusions. Until we have confirmed proof that they can look however they want to, or that there has been an in-continuity shift in their species design(not to mention every single TF giving up all those stylish noses), there's no need to claim that they can.
Posted by Sabrblade on May 28th, 2012 @ 12:28pm CDT
What more proof do you want than Hasbro openly declaring them to be in the same continuity? One has one look, another has another look, yet both are in the same continuity.orangeitis wrote:That makes no sense. The same applies to G1 and Beast Wars/Machines. both are completely different in aesthetics (especially G1 and Beast Machines), yet no one questions their being connected.

REVISION: Airachnid's not actually that great, but she'll do.

Because one Hasbro representative might not know a thing about how universes, continuities, and universal streams work?Sabrblade wrote:What more proof do you want than Hasbro openly declaring them to be in the same continuity? We need more solid ground to go by than that. I'm sorry, but we still need some clarification on the matter.
It's not the same simply because Beast Wars/Machines had aspects of both the G1 cartoon and the comics. Not only that, but Beast Wars was done by primitive CGI. We don't have that excuse now.Sabrblade wrote:The same applies to G1 and Beast Wars/Machines. both are completely different in aesthetics (especially G1 and Beast Machines), yet no one questions their being connected.
Not to mention that Beast Wars had an in-continuity reason for the aesthetic shift to take place from G1(from Autobot/Decepticon to Maximal/Predicon), and Beast Machines had an in-continuity reason for the aesthetic shift to take place from Beast Wars(namely, technorganic shiz). Once there is fiction that explains how WFC/FoC Cybertron got invaded by the nose-snatchers, there's no need to jump to any conclusions.

All she's missing is a Subway logo behind her?
Posted by Sabrblade on May 28th, 2012 @ 1:12pm CDT
Um, Aaron Archer is Vice President of Intellectual Property Development at Hasbro. He's the man responsible for keeping all the continuities stable and in order, and the one (along with Rik Alvarez) who's completely developed the entire history of the Aligned continuity, from it's ancient past of WFC and the novels, to its present day of TF: Prime, and well beyond into whatever its future may be. He's well above being "one Hasbro representative".orangeitis wrote:Because one Hasbro representative might not know a thing about how universes, continuities, and universal streams work?

Not everything between the two looks complete different.orangeitis wrote:It's not the same simply because Beast Machines had an in-continuity reason for the aesthetic shift to take place(namely, technorganic shiz). I still think she looks a bit bare. Looks more like an AM toy than a PRID one.
