Anything with the word "Master" at the end of it was part of late 80's gimmick lines. The simple mini bots transformations were consistant with the larger block figures from that era. And they were almost always packaged as an accessory to a bigger toy or at least sold in a four pack.
Legends/Legions on the other hand are just a cheap attempt to score 5 bucks from parents who dont wanna pay for a expensive figure every shopping trip.

Oh I did plenty of that back in 1985. But now I like to display them. Maybe if I had some legends size dinobots to go up against Unicron, (not PCC drones) that would be cool.
