Blister card packaging.
Next we have some of the upcoming Kre-O Transformers Prime Beast Hunters sets: Beast Blade Optimus Prime, Battle Net Bumblebee, Ripclaw Strike, and Dragon Assault.
Based on the hit animated series Transformers Prime, Battle Net Bumblebee hunts for the Predacons with Hasbro's newest KRE-O Transformers set! Bumblebee can be built into his robotic form, or he can tear up the outback as an off-road vehicle! Includes 2 KRE-ON minifigs. 178 bricks.
Optimus Prime and Lazerback battle for control of the Beast Blade in this new KRE-O Transformers set! The struggle against the Predacons from Transformers Prime endangers the world, and the victor of this battle will determine the future! 257 bricks.
The world is threatened by the Predacons and their leader, Ripclaw, in this new KRE-O Transformers set! Build him as a robot, and transform him into a mighty dragon with this 199 brick set! Includes two KRE-ON minifigs.
The Autobots have a dangerous new enemy in the shape of the Predacons in Transformers Prime, and you can build some of the characters from the series with Hasbro's new KRE-O Transformers Beast Hunter Figure Sets! Choose from Trail Cutter or Windcharger.
Next we have Transformers: Rescue Bots Energize Chase the Poice Bot & Chief Charlie Burns. We got a look at Optimus Prime with Cody Burns and Bumblebee with Graham Burns earlier in the week, which just leaves Heatwave with Kade remaining to be seen in-package.
Your favorite Autobots and Decepticons are paired with Minicons in the new Transformers Minicons Packs! Choose from Chase/Chief, Heatwave/Kade, Optmius/Kody, or Bumblebee/Graham.
Lastly we have the officially licensed Transformers vinyl figures from The Loyal Subjects. The assortment features Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Megatron, Soundwave, and Starscream.
From The Loyal Subjects! The Loyal Subjects have redesigned Hasbro's classic Transformers characters for a line of vinyl mini-figures! These new designs feature Optimus Prime, Megatron, and other fan-favorite characters in in a super-deformed style. Each figure ships in a foil bag, are articulated in each arm and at the neck, and feature a scaled weapon from their original 3.75' release. Designed by Les Schettkoe, these blind mystery boxed figures prove that there is more than meets the eye! Collect them all! Blind mystery box packaging.

Isn't Predaking supposed to be the leader of the Predacons?

You can have all the ones that pop up here in Wilmington. I'm strictly going for Generations until... maybe the next series pops up. Collecting decent Prime figures are becoming more of a chore than a hobby.

It means that the Bots and Cons originally came "from" Cybertron. Nowhere in this description is it referring to the events of the Prime cartoon (especially since it refers to their war having lasted for eons, which it did on Cybertron, not on Earth).PrymeStriker wrote:The Autobots and Decepticons from the world of Cybertron have battled for aeons; now, their war comes to Earth with the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager Action Figures

The way they said it was: "now, their war comes to Earth with the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager Action Figures," as if they weren't on Earth before then. The sarcastic response was admittedly a misreading of part of the text, but there's still something off about the line on the other side of the semicolon.
Sabrblade wrote:It's referring to the bigger figures like Deluxe and above, whereas the smaller scale figures are the Cyberverse stuff.
What I thought they meant was that these figures are bigger than any other Deluxe or Voyager we've gotten before.

I'm not sure why as TF fans we should care about these ugly molds, with playschool-like colors. Efforts like this only push me more into the direction of third party toys.
TF fans have been loyal and growing in number since the 80's. Its time hasbro stops putting out junk!

Please realize that these aren't necessarily sharpened for us: they're for the kids of this generation who are just getting into Transformers, and don't care if they're homaging a character from Transformer past. The other day as I was browsing the aisle, and this youngin' was looking for a certain Transformer from the Prime line. I happened to have seen it while searching for something else, and casually handed it to him, remarking they should have had Transformers that poseable when I was his age. The little dude just gave me the greatest face ever, said thanks, and walked on by.

Yes, how dare Hasbro make children's toys for children instead of adult collectors. How dare they try something new instead of rehashing the same G1-homaged stuff again and again. How dare they make toys that bright and colorful instead of dull and drab. How dare they go for something as creative and exotic as mythical beasts and monsters instead of same old cars and trucks that they always do. Hasbro be darned for having imagination and a feeling of innovation.DrRX8 wrote:I'm not impressed with these new Beast Hunter toys.

To think that they forgot about a 6 year old character who could be passed off a return of a old character who was also a multiheaded dragon
Instead of handing off the title of the G1 combiner who is the king of 6 beasts combined making the name fitting as he was also very powerful to be truly a Predacon King/Predaking
If they really wanted this name again so bad, they should have the 2012 Predacons become a new combiner, that would be appropriate.

Ever think that they wanted to keep the name "Scourge" reserved for the Sweep leader? They can't have two guys named "Scourge" running around together in the same Aligned continuity.Autobot-Hellstriker wrote:Seriously couldn't they have renamed this new twinheaded dragon as another incarnation of Jungle Planet's Scourge? As for Prime Predaking, there's literally NO more fitting monicker for the leader of the Predacons. King is in his name! And he's big enough that making him an gestalt would be asinine. xD Prime Predaking is probably nearly as big as G1 Predaking on HIS OWN.
A gestalt with that thing at its core would be monstrously ridiculous!

Predaking is the leader of the Predacons. The king of the Predacons. Predaking. It doesn't make his name any less valid.

I'm going to assume you acted similarly when Menasor was one person instead of a Gestalt in Cybertron.
But, hey...what are you going to do? Some people just don't accept change. It's still happening, and that's one thing that's not going to change.

The larger Predaking doesn't have as much neon paint, although does not lack it either.

BH Soundwave comes with Ravage. Besides, Laserbeak in this continuity is nothing more than a simple reconnaissance drone, not the well-known character from other continuities such as G1. There would be no reason to make another toy of him.

In principal, Laserbeak isn't necessarily just a drone. Since Soundwave wiped his own emotions, perhaps he did it to at least Laserbeak as well?

Technically, he is "just a drone." We don't know what happened during the millions of years of gap that we got from Exiles to Prime, but Laserbeak never really showed emotions. However, he seemed to be a bird of his own on Cybertron. On Earth, Laserbeak is merely an extension of Soundwave, being Soundwave's eyes and ears when deployed and performing tasks for him. He isn't an individual. Instead of wiping his emotions, perhaps he was wiped of individuality.
