Here's hoping this is what it looks like. An image of a box has surfaced on the Cybertron Philipines facebook page and this is a box set for the Transformers Prime 10 year anniversary. The side of the box shows the contents are War Breakdown and Vehicon. Unlless these are new molds, which sounds more improbable, this set could be a rerelease of those two toys from the Prime line. It could also be redecos of newer molds made to emulate the two characters. If it is a rerelease, it would be interesting to see what it looks like since we never did get a release of Prime Breakdown as intended, since the Takara release had additional holes all across the alt mode to support their micron gimmick. Could this be the toy we've been asking 10 years for? Let us know what you think!

EDIT: fans have taken a very close look at the package and it indicates that this contains just 1 deluxe figure inside. So, that removes the option of a reissue of the voyager. It's anyone's guess at this point.

Prime is already at its 10 year anniversary? Man, where did the time go?

While a nice idea, a bit grating that its prime they're starting with this, oh well, maybe Animated can get some love in 2028

...’Scuse me?

Like neat that this might be a reissue and I’m totally down to get this set if it’s a real thing, but gee, this kinda feels like a dagger in the heart for Unicron Trilogy nerds like me. :(

It's not like most of the vintage UT molds aren't cheese by now.

Dang, a Prime 10th anniversary, and yet this is the first like this? I like this, but it feels like a shot at some other older franchises.

Interested to see what comes from this

Wasn't the Takara UW Breakdown that was a repaint of the CW truck who's name escapes me at the moment called "War Breakdown"? It could be a reissue of that and maybe a repaint of Dead End or Breakdown for extra limbs

That one was called "Zombie War Breakdown".

"War Breakdown" was TF: Prime Breakdown's Japanese name, with the "War" part consistently spoken onscreen in the Japanese version of the show. Same with their renaming Knock Out as "Medic Knock Out" for whatever reason.

Interesting. That box is very much like the generations selects boxes, but the print on it makes me think of the Amazon dead Optimus. I would like this set, particularly if the vehicon is one of the flying variety that we didn't get stateside.

None of his figure are good,a bad design with a giant breast like Jazz or Prowl. Not sure what is this nerdy-expert-snobbish talk about the FE being better,it's mostly the same.

His head has the shape of MegamanX.

Wouldn't the packaging still be correct if there were 2 deluxe figures in there?

When Pulse uploaded their unboxing video for Cordon and Spin-Out, the box just said their typical Deluxe Class labeling despite containing two Deluxes:
Cordon Box.JPG

So it is entirely possible for that box to have a Vehicon and a Breakdown of some sort, especially since it looks bigger than a typical Deluxe Selects box.

Then you wouldn't like the first edition either. Bumblebee is kinda like Arcee where both the FE and RID have their pros and cons and are as good. For Arcee, that's great it means you have two good options. And for Bumblebee, well...

Really? Huh, I guess I should check out some reviews. The chest area looks a lot better on the FE imo, I just assumed it was better.

I'm guessing these are the molds we never got in the states? Since Breakdown and the Flying Vehicon were never released here and were only Takara releases.

I feel like everyone is overthinking this. I'll be surprised if it isn't retooled Generations figures. Maybe Hoist/Trailbreaker for Breakdown and maybe the upcoming Tracks figure for the Vehicon. Reissues feel a little optimistic from Hasbro since it isn't G1, but I'd like to be surprised.

I just watched a review and I still think it looks great as far as I can tell. Doesn't have the really long chest, weird head panel that sticks up in the back and never sits flush with the rest of the torso, or the arms that are always angled forwards that the PRID version has. Is it a QC thing with the FE? It looked like the chest may have some issues tabbing together.

Always angled forward?No,something is wrong.

The bottom of the box might be advertising other figures in the wave and not just/only what's in the box. From what I remember War Breakdown couldn't be released because it couldn't pass the US drop tests. I doubt that's changed 10 years later but stranger things have happened.

Also the (apparent) reasoning is that Hasbro had the mold available to make but decided not to go through with it as taking out the Arms Micron ports would’ve been too costly.

http://tfu.info/2012/Decepticon/AMWarBreakdown/breakdown.htm
and from TF Wiki:

While the mold is available for Hasbro to use, its production cost is in "no man's land",[3] which stymies Hasbro's ability to put it in their normal price points. Why Hasbro elected not to make a toy of one of the show's few bad guys and left it up to Takara... we couldn't tell you.
This mold was differently redecoed/retooled each time into Swerve and Silas Breakdown; the latter was retooled further into Timelines Megatron.

Maybe it's a change? I hope it's not two Legion Class figures that due to inflation and limited production are being sold together at the Deluxe price point. Then again the box does say, Deluxe Figure not Deluxe Figures.

The only way I'm cool with two smaller figures, is if it's a retool/paint of battleslash and roadtrap. It won't happen but I could see a convincing breakdown out of the roadtrap mold.

That's "figure" as in singular.

I just learned a new term today. Who said TFs couldn't be educational.

That said, unless they are doing some sort of weird BWU/TFP crossover, I agree, 2 figures, 1 vehicon, 1 Breakdown in the box is my guess

Thanks, I couldn't make that portion out, however, the reference to labels is giving me pause. For shits and giggles I checked out all the Selects packaging, specifically the micromaster 4-pack and sure enough it is accurate, 4 figures and instructions, no reference to accessories or labels. All the others I have so far are single figures with varying numbers of accessories and the # of accessories is correct to the exact number of accessories. None came with or referenced labels.

So I'm thinking it is either 1 of 2 possibilities. 1) The text is accurate and there is only 1 figure with a set of labels to make it either War Breakdown or a Vehicon? (Which makes zero sense to me.) or 2) this is placeholder/standard verbiage that they forgot to update to be accurate and we right back where we started. :HEADHURTS:

Perhaps it’s a Deluxe sized figure (Breakdown I’d wager) with a singular Micromaster (Vehicon?)? Whether it’s a retool of a preexisting mold or what is up in the air.

There's just not enough information here to make any convincing speculation. Part of me won't rule out that it's an elaborate troll. I can't imagine a single toy that would excite everyone more than one of Prime's holy grails.

Maybe Hoist/Trailbreaker for Breakdown and maybe the upcoming Tracks figure for the Vehicon. Reissues feel a little optimistic from Hasbro since it isn't G1, but I'd like to be surprised.

Yeah, this is actually my guess as well. A retool of existing wfc mold. I am thinking of hound mold as breakdown.

PLOT TWIST: There's nothing inside because it's something someone made up for their Graphics Designer course.

I'm thinking it's just a mock up or package sample and there probably isn't anything in the box. That would explain some of the quirks like saying "figure" but having two names or mentioning a sticker sheet when Hasbro swore those off with PotP. It's all very odd.

Well, there's not a huge rush to move on these, they have plenty of anniversaries to celebrate thanks to have sluggish the launch was. The series started with books in 2010, the cartoon and FE toys in 2011, and the RID toy line in 2012. I think they'll be angling towards 2020/2021 both as the anniversary window.

As someone who has owned both Versions of TFP Bee, I can say that FE Bee is superior as it lacks any spring loaded gimmicks and has less obtrusive 5mm ports

Is it because the real subject look fake more and more? There's not even a deluxe Breakdown.

Oh and the FE has shoulders made of wheels. The reviews make the PRID look worse than possible.
