It is shipping out this December so these will be the POTP toys on shelves for the (late) holiday season, at retailer who may be wanting to stock more toys from the line. Of course with Slug also being available as part of wave 4, Hasbro also has solid cases of Swoop available for retailers to order so that all four Dinobots could be on shelves at the same time. This solid case is also shown on Entertainment Earth, along with another solid case of deluxe Dreadwind (to go with the abundance of Blackwing we are about to get). For those unaware, a solid case means a case full of just the same figure. So that means if you walk into the toy aisle and see a peg full of just Swoop, it is normal.
So what do you think of all this? Happy to see that Hasbro is listening and trying to rectify the year's biggest issue for Transformers fans? Is this overkill? Let us know!

Lunatic Prime wrote:I got OPTIMAL OPTIMUS this week and I noticed some things that puzzle me and I have some issues with him:
1. The shoulder missassembling: I disassembled his left shoulder (robot mode), turned the shoulder 180 degress and screwed everything back together. But somehow it doesn't fit as it's supposed to be. In the image below you can see on the left that the upper gap of the joint is bigger than the lower one and on the right side they are both equal. I don't know what's the problem and I even had a gap on the other side of the joint because the two gray parts that encase the joint didn't meet togther until I just forced them by tightening the screw over its actual resistance maximum (I hopt that's the correct way to say that in English or you can at least get what I mean).
2. The taps on little Optimus Primal's insides of his knees: The horizontal ones peg into the big gorilla's heels but what do the vertical ones I couldn't find any use for them in any mode.
3. What's pretty weird is that the orange plastic of the gorilla's is is a bit more reddish and neon colorish than the one of his torso. That doesn't make any sense to me.
Huh... That's really weird... My Optimal Optimus (the SDCC one, not the general release version. Haven't found that one yet) had a similar issue where the shoulder didn't go up enough, but unscrewing the shoulder and rotating it fixed it. I think maybe that could be a QC issue if that didn't fix it

You misunderstand me, then. By "square part" I meant the other end of the weapon, the end that would be the muzzle when it's held as a gun. I thought that would be clear because the hinge end where the common grip point is... That has too much of a rounded edge for me to really think of it as a square part ^^;
The suit's weapon mode is definitely as much a gun as it is a club. In fact due to the proportion of the parts it feels like more of a gun, but the kanabo detailing still lets it work fine as a club.
And Solus/Octupunch's weapon mode is also a gun. It's a speargun, specifically.
Oh I've tried that end, it's tapered and just big enough that I'd be concerned about stressing the peg hole. I thought Octopunch was an ax of some sort.

It fixed it but caused the problem you see in the picture now.
And after I posted this in here I noticed another issue you see in the next picture: the black plastic of the Optimus Primal figure is very brittle

*shrug* I haven't had issues so far using that end, though granted I haven't had the toy very long.
And Octopunch's weapon mode is decidedly a speargun. The spear tip and launcher detail are easy to make out in person. I thought it was some sort of axe at first too, but I realized otherwise once I actually got my hands on it.

Amazon hasn't even charged me for my two figures yet... I'm hoping they do soon so I at least know that I'm getting them instead of waiting for a few months, like the last time I bought something on Amazon, where it got "lost in the mail" meanwhile they gave us the wrong tracking number for it

As for the issues with OpOp, I had the shoulder issue on mine. So far, no issues with the plastic (so far... ). I can't get the pegs on the big gorilla feet to attach to the back of the small robot's vehicle mode for the jet. I must be doing something wrong.

Oh, seriously... God dammit... Is that why they haven't charged me yet? Because they don't have the stock to even ship their pre-orders? That's bogus. What was the point of pre-ordering the damn thing if Amazon couldn't even fulfill their orders?!

Did they completely oversell, or is this a case of they can't fill the preorders with the initial Shipment, like they did with Nemesis Prime?

Regardless of that, they still should have cut pre-orders when they did run out of stock. No matter how you slice it, it's still Amazon's fault. They know how much they're getting, and they can see how many someone is buying

you guys do realize they do this all the time, with everything? they did this exact thing (if I'm remembering correctly) for potp wave 1 back in january, shouldn't even be a surprise at this point
Only up side is, they're the only one who can sell this figure, so hasbro only has to supply one company right now

I'm not a prime member, so when I bought them it was just the "$25 and up is free" shipping. Due to that it would only let me select "group my items in as few shipments as possible." So I've had to wait an extra month for Repugnus, and if they don't ship either of them I'll be about as annoyed as humanly possible. I mean, come on, I ordered these TWO MONTHS in advance, you'd think they'd be intelligent enough to know when they've run out of stock and should stop selling.

It might be shipped, it might not. Amazon just calculates when something should be there, if stock allows. They don't factor in changes in stock I don't think

Hold it in a way we can see the toy, put it down, take good videos of it. Snapshots, whatever. If the video have you more than the toy, you’re not reviewing the toy. You’re marketing yourself. The figure transforms between 2 robot modes, one for each named character, and a sweet looking blue car.

My walmarts are only offering deluxes and voyagers, no other size classes anymore. And the section has shrunk, it's only a few pegs and a single shelf, not even 2 layers of shelves

Some do the review just to be the "first". Sometimes it's good, most of the times it's bad.

I don't think it would be too much to ask for them to fulfill/supply the units they promised to deliver right?
They had like 3 months when they accepted via Amazon for orders of P/CP. They even used the Amazon exclusive as part of the selling point.
So once the orders were tallied up from Amazon, if they could not fulfill at least 90%, why not just delay the release?
Then we receive reports he is available at U/S Singapore? WTF?!
This last sentence is what sucks. There are stocks for him yet Hb did not see fit to get the Amazon requisition well stocked?

All reasons why, tall order though it is, we as a fandom should band together to make Bain Capital pay the piper. And to throw Fortress Maximuses at Jeff Bezos (Of course, there's as many reasons to do that as Bezos has dollars).

He's not blaming TRU so much as bemoaning the fact that their demise means that Scamazon is ending up with a lot more exclusives. And they're suffering because of Scamazon's rubbish practices.

I bet that what Hasbro didn't realize (and what FunPub didn't realize 8 years ago) is that adult fans and collectors will want duplicates of Punch-Counterpunch for the collections, so that they can put him with the Autobots and Decepticons in his proper guises simultaneously. Essentially, a large portion of buyers for this special edition figure will want TWO instead of the usual one. Let's hope that Hasbro can simply do a second run. FunPub managed to do that a few months after their original presale for the Transformers Collector's Club Punch-Counterpunch sold out in only three days.
