As you may remember, this sword was an exclusive offered on Single's Day in China, which was November 11 and is the equivalent of Black Friday. The sword was only available with the purchase of a full Predaking figure on Single's Day.
Poweredconvoy reports that the sword holds the unique function of splitting apart and becoming a pen in addition to being the might Beast Combiners's sword. What is also noted is that the sword is made of a not overly impressive soft plastic that is also slightly off color from Predaking himself, a minor disappointment after the promo images showed the colors being in shade with each other.
Check out his photos below, and let us know what you think of this sword in the comments section below!

Uh, it's the same unmatched color it was in the promo pic which really turned me off the first time we saw it.
The sword reminds me of the ones that came with those Optimus Prime KOs you could find at Big Lots.

If they were going with soft plastic they could have made it dark gold with no trouble. Heck, even harder plastic could pull it off if it was the right type of gold.

If that's the case, I'm just going to equip my Predaking with a Bic.

There is a SNL "Celebrity Jeopardy" Joke in there, that isn't appropriate for this forum, but if you are a fan of that sort of thing, google it.
Also...Predaking's a BIG BOT and deserves a BIG pen...

Is that actually in the instructions?

Indeed. I think with the arms unextended the wrists hold together more securely, but the tradeoff is definitely worth it IMO.

Whoever's pic it is... That is awesome, and I never expected to see that turn up as the head

I didn't look at the instructions and just assumed the arms extended was correct based on the smaller combiners.

It is accurate to the original toy, in both instances: Scramble City arms have them extended, but Predaking has them retracted.

The exception to Scramble City arms being extended is when attached to Motormaster because of how short his torso mode is.
Edit: Groove is also an exception because he does not extend. Groove feels half-finished.

Technically Predaking's arms aren't retracted since they can't be extended in the first place. Rampage and Divebomb's legs flip open rather than extend and unlike other G1 combiner limbs that have peg holes at both the knees and feet they can only connect the fists at the knees. The PotP version gives us options and I'm thankful for that.

Yes. I thought it was a fine experience, no difference than applying the G1 stickers to the Platinum Predaking I bought a few years ago. I still havent finished applying Trypticon's stickers. there are just so many and they all seem small and insignificant. Here, they add a lot.
Anyways, I would love to finally talk about my thoughts on the figure. This is one of my favourite toys of the year and will end up on my best of 2018 list for the site. I honestly have nothing bad to say. I can see why certain things are they way they are but the trade offs make sense and in the end, I have great looking toys that are fun to handle and easily the most awesome and solid combiner I ever had. He poses so well, nothing comes apart. The plastic feels better than Devastator too, and the bots feel less like oversized deluxes than with Devastator's components.
And I have handled (and owned) some of the 3p outings and anyone who thinks those are better than this toy is fooling themselves. This predaking poses far better than any 3P predaking and looks better too, a nice mix of toy and cartoon. I sold my 3P predaking to make room for this one and I have 0 regrets (especially since I lot no money).
I really love all about this guy.

As far as time is concerned, it didn't take too long to do them all, but I have two copies (because I'm crazy like that) so it took me several hours to get all 10 figures done. The first time was the roughest, but the second time through was MUCH faster. Divebomb's many stickers were at first intimidating, especially the ones for his huge wings (front and back), but they went on quite easily, and the molded detail on the wings helped guide their placement very well. I'm quite happy with the results.
I agree with Will too. Power of the Primes Predaking is a solid figure. He stands well, poses well, has good heft to him, and all the joints are tight and solid. The combined mode is the star of the show, but the robot modes aren't bad (combiner kibble, et. al.). The beast modes don't look any worse than the G1 figures, but they're definitely the weakest part of the whole set.

o.supreme wrote:Just applied all the stickers on my Predaking. Did anyone find it much easier than on past Titans (Fort Max/Trypticon)?. Of course it helped there were only about half as many overall, and most of them were all on Divebomb. But it appears even the adhesive used seemed to come off the sticker sheet easier, and there was less tearing. The trade off was, it required greater force to get the stickers to actually *stick*, but that's preferable to mangling/tearing them just to get them off the sheet initially. Tweezers were still required for some stickers, but overall I found the experience much less frustrating.
Wow. I'm glad you, Will, and Wolfman had good experiences with the stickers. I had trouble with nearly every one, with about half coming off with the backing still on. My sticker sheet was pressed just a bit too hard with the cutting die, I think. Well, except for the two places where the sticker actually ripped.
So, results probably vary. I know I got so frustrated that I stopped twice. I finally got all the stickers applied last week.
Still, he looks great. I don't like that every time I try to handle him in combined mode his waist collapses into itself. But, he's more fun to play with in combined mode than nearly any of my Combiner Wars/PotPie figs.
