Remember way back in September of last year when we got word that Hasbro had trademarked "Transformers One"? At the time it was only classified as “Entertainment Services”. That classification has now been updated with the following:

Could another television series be in the works?

My theory is that Hasbro has gotten so huge in the entertainment biz that they're creating a Production Company :D Thats what this sounds like.

I say its the title for the show based off of the robot heros line (or what ever they're called, the new kiddie line). TF:Primes to new to be ending (unfortunately) so it cant be a new flagship cartoon and as far as we know so far theres no plans to reboot bayformers(also unfortunate) so i doubt its the title of a new movie. Original thought was a sequel to WFC but since the description says movies & TV with no mention of interactive entertainment id say that ideas out the window. second theory is that its a website or on demand service that has all the old & current TF shows.

How could they even conceive a new series when TF: Prime is not only amazing, but already lined up for two new seasons? Maybe it's the Transformers Prime movie?

It's gotta be Rescue Bots. There's no other suitable candidate.

>:oP I totally agree with Wolf on all counts...too soon to be a new cartoon or movie re-boot...unfortunatley! It sucks that we're living in an era that has SO much potential for a creative and truley epic G1 reboot and it seems like nobody is stepping up to the plate to meet this challenge. When I see people on here drooling over TF:P it strikes me as "such heroic nonsense". Instead of all of this half-baked disscussion over the meaning of Hasbro's latest move (TF:One) lets just patiently wait and see LOL.

Still possible for that to happen in comic form, which would definitely be better than nothing.

It has to be something connected with Transformers Prime, in my opinion, as Prime and One mean the same thing and that's deliberate and just the type of thing you do with branding (don't stray too far from the original, make the connection clear). So here's my take: It's season 2 of Transformers Prime. Possibly even beginning with a "movie" or miniseries titled "Transformers One" to close the first season and bridge the two to avoid confusion among viewers. Anyway, if I am right, it would be a similar approach to Transformers Armada -> Energon -> Cybertron. So, anyone want to speculate on a name for season 3?

I'm guessing it will be the second section of the "Prime" continuity, most likely like the way the Unicron Trilogy series were one continuity but each part had a different title.

If it is a TV series

The war has been over for a long time
Autobots and Decepticons have made peace
The Transformers are led by two leaders, an Autobot and Decepticon

A new enemy has come to cybertron who hates Transformers
The Transformers have to work together and fight against the new evil

lame I know

It was announced last month that the Transformers Rescue Bots would be accompanied by an animated series to air on The Hub.

It sucks I know, but TF: Prime has been confirmed for another 2 seasons, Rescue Bots has been announced, it is unlikely they would produce a 3rd show.

a little soon for a new tv series dont you think? Transformers Prime is awesome and its getting at least a second season and i think a third. i'd hate if they gave it the boot so soon.

It's not getting canned. It's already got four seasons planned.

There is, however, going to be another TF cartoon running separate from it based on the Rescue Bots toyline.

I wonder if it's the new classics toyline because that would be a breath of fresh air from the disappointing toys were getting now after SDCC.

You mean Generations? That's still continuing, even though Sky Shadow and Junkheap (Black Shadow and Junkyard, darn it!) are the last two releases of 2011.

Though, this thing calls for more than just a toyline, and the only known TF TV shows that are coming are more seasons of Prime and the new Rescue Bots cartoon.

Erm, no it doesn't. There was the Classics toyline, and then there were newer different toylines (Henkei! Henkei!, Universe 2008, Generations, United, Reveal the Shield) that used a similar style to it.

Could it be part of Hasbro's plan to bring all continuities into one universe and to try and shoehorn them all together somehow? (That was what they were wanting to do, wasn't it...?)

I think you got WAAYYYY too much epic on the brain!
Would be awesome though....

Seriously though, I do remember them charging some writer with the responsibility of somehow connecting all the various story lines together (this was early last year I think).

No it wouldn't. It would be a disasterous impossibility.

If you're referring to Alex Irvine, who wrote Exodus, he was not charged with merging all universes together into one story. What that book did was take bits and pieces from all past TF fiction, and combine just those elements into one story. The rest of what wasn't used, however, was discarded.

On the contrary. There are indeed such stories in which multiple Optimuses and Megatrons come together to fight each other.

What would be berated is if you claimed every Optimus and Megatron to be the same guy. ;)

There are several comic stories that I know not of their details. Which is why I'm trying to go back and read as many as I can. I've alrreayd read all the Marvel U.S. G1 comics and the Marvel U.S. G2 comics, and am currently reading the Marvel UK G1 comics. I've still got a LONG way to go, though.

Oh, and then there's some children's books I haven't read either. But only the most die-hard of hardcore fans go for those...

...which means I porblaby gotta look into those too.
